Here are some steps you can take on Saturday if you are concerned about your safety.

1. Go early to your polling unit.
Election starts at 8:30 AM and it's a first come first serve basis. You get to vote immediately once you are accredited using the BVAS.

- Don't know your polling unit? Text the last six digits of your Voter Identification Number (VIN)(On your PVC) to 09062830860 or 09062830861.
INEC wil send you your polling unit.

2. Don't tell anyone who you voted for
I know you want to tell the whole world you voted for Obi, Atiku or Tinubu, but hold it.
It will safer to tell your friends on social media or your family when you get home. Don't discuss who you voted for with anyone in the polling unit.

3. Don't sell your vote
While it may seem like an unharmful thing to do, selling your vote is a criminal offense that comes with a 1 million naira fine or 12 months imprisonment.

4. Don't discuss your political views in the polling unit
Campaign ends 24 hours to the election. So it will be illegal to campaign for your candidate on election day. You can discuss football, BBN and other interests, but avoid discussing the candidates especially with strangers.

5. Vote and go home
If you don't feel safe about staying in the polling unit after voting, then you can go home, once you've voted. You can track the election results on the INEC portal.
Typically violence on election day happens in the evening. So you can go early, vote and go home if you have any concerns.

“Africa’s most populous country is in desperate need of it (hope). The economy, the continent’s biggest, bursts with youthful potential — half the country is 18 years old or younger,” the newspaper said.

“A flourishing Nigeria would boost the whole of Africa. Instead, it is dragging it down.

“Nigerians are poorer now than they were in 2015, when the outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari, took over.

“At least 60m (and rising) survive on less than the equivalent of $2.15 per day. Buhari’s protectionist policies have made things worse.

“In addition, the country is beset by violence.”

Lol. Tinubu is not vying to be governor of my state. He's vying to be president. Nigeria has a lifespan of 52, while U.S is 80+. If you are wise, you'll also be asking these same questions.

Tinubu upgraded, Tinubu refurbished. I'm not talking about upgrades. Several healthcare facilities in Lagos are named after Tinubu. Yet he didn't start any hospital from scratch.

The same hospitals he upgraded were also upgraded by Fashola, Ambode and now Sanwo-Olu.

Who would build new hospitals?

What sense is there in neglecting already built infrastructure and building new ones when it makes more sense in rehabilitating and upgrading infrastructures already on ground. It someone like you that will say Nigeria has no maintenance culture. I don't think you should be displaying such low level of thinking.

Go back and read the post. Nigeria doesn't have enough hospitals. We don't need a president that will spend 8 years rehabilitating hospitals, despite increase taxes by over 300%>
