I am glad you said I am speaking rubbish. So I want you to judge what you have just said against the Constitution of the FRN

Section 230 to 236 of the 1999 constitution of Nigeria mention all about the Supreme Court.

However, section 232(1) specifically provides that “THE SUPREME COURT SHALL, TO THE EXCLUSION OF ANY OTHER COURT, HAVE ORIGINAL JURISDICTION IN ANY DISPUTE BETWEEN THE FEDERATION AND A STATE OR BETWEEN STATES

Just because some olodo's went to the high court does not mean that states have to follow their error. The action of the states was the correct reading of the constitution.

So please judge what you have written. Rubbish or what?

The law is clear states vs states or states vs FGN starts and finish in the Supreme Court.
You see how foolish you are. I guess you know more than the SGF.

Sir, you are quoting a thread by someone who is probably as naive, I am telling you what the constitution says. Matters between state and federal governments are only settled in supreme court.

Nothing concerns the state governors with CBN as they can't give it directives, it is the FG that will instruct the CBN to obey court order.

I also try to learn new things everyday, so if there is any authentic contrary fact to the above, I'm ready to learn.

Both you and the person that calls himself the Great Oracle whose tweet you're quoting are both ignorant of the law. Saying that the Supreme Court is not the proper court to start or to adjudicate this matter is a serious manifestation of lack of knowledge of the law on your part.

And it is obvious that you're not ready to learn, despite quite a number of people that have corrected you that the Supreme Court is the only and proper judicial authority with the jurisdiction to entertain any suit involving State Governments and Federal Government. Yet, you're not satisfied but still went ahead to quote the tweets of a fellow ignorant person in a matter of law both of you know nothing about. It's not a good thing to allow your emotion to dictate to you on issues.

Politics / Appeal Court Dismisses APM Suit Seeking Obi’s Disqualification by Joevics(m): 5:31pm On Feb 08, 2023
The Court of Appeal Abuja has dismissed a suit by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) seeking to disqualify Peter Obi as the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP).
Delivering Judgement, the President of the Court, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensan dismissed the appeal on the grounds that the appeal lacked merit and APM lacked the legal right to initiate the suit.

The appellate court also awarded a cost of N200,000 against APM, in favour of the Labour Party and Peter Obi who are the 2nd and 3rd respondents in the suit.

Obi is in the race alongside top contenders like Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

With less than three weeks to the February 25 presidential election, the northern region has become the toast of presidential candidates as contestants jostling for Aso Rock’s top job continue to flock to the North-West, North-East and the North-Central geopolitical zones which make up the northern region for bloc votes which runs into tens of millions.

Like others, Obi, a former governor of Anambra State in southern Nigeria, alongside his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, who is from Kaduna in the north, have also taken their campaigns to the region.

Tinubu built more than hospital. He converted ikeja general hospital to university college of medicine. And that is most important step. What's the benefits of hospital you build without medical doctors and health professionals that will work there.
Which college of medicine? Lasu College of Medicine was established on February 1999, while Tinub was sworn in on May 29th.
Lagos State University Teaching Hospital Ikeja was founded in 1955.
So which are you talking about?

The supreme Court in any country takes decisions that impact politics. This is because as the apex court and as the final arbiter it must hear cases brought before it. Under the Nigerian constitution.and the Electoral Act it is the Supreme Court that has the final say.

This is not new.

Let's just rewind to 1979 when the Nigerian Supreme Court ruled that Shagari's NPN had won over Awolowos UPN using a very debatable 12 and two thirds formula declared Shagari the winner.

In 2000 in the US the SC allowed the certification of results to stand handing Bush the Presidency by just one electoral seat when Gore had the larger number of votes cast.

So I don't understand this issue of politization of the judiciary. It is the function of the judiciary to hear cases brought before it. Whatever those cases may be. We cannot call it something when the ruling is in our favour and then call it something else when it is against us.

Nigerians are so hypocritical. When a mere FHC judge overuled a Presidential executive decision nobody shouted that the court was getting into politics.

Until we remove the blinkers of party politics and ethnicity, we are doomed as a nation. The new generation is no different to the old generation they say caused their personal problems in life.
The national assembly recently gave the CBN the independence to regulate the fiscal space via the CBN act. This is like going to the supreme court to stop the actions of the Efcc chairman, even though he's not independent.
If you want to challenge the CBN policy, you go to the federal high court. Stop quoting rubbish.

Obidense, you dont waste government resources on reinventing the wheel.

You assess a need for structural build. Is the old structure defective, has it become a hazard to community, has the space become insufficient, is a new community developed and a need is created? If none of these exist, why do you build hospital just to say you built hospital? Thats wastage. Use the money instead to renovate, equip, modernize, expand, recruit for the one you already have.

In SE each incoming governor build hospital and put his name on it. Crazy!

The one Obi built, ambulance cant get to the emergency room. You have to park and carry victim across a gutter and walk over grass to get them into emergency. grin
You said Tinubu built Lagos. So who built those hospitals that he was renovating?
Also, what did he do with the increased IGR?
What did he do with the almost 100 billion debt he left for Fashola.

I had an argument with a Tinubu supporter this morning and asked him to mention one hospital Tinubu built.
He said Tinubu didn't build any hospital, but rather refurbished existing ones?

How can you be the owner of Lagos and a governor for 8 years without building a hospital? Impossible

Urchins, Nairaland branch; please mention one hospital Tinubu built from scratch.

“Asiwaju has done it before, he can do it again.”

If you still stay in Nigeria (and haven’t JAND), you must have heard this statement.

Come February, Bola Ahmed Tinubu will again be on the Ballot papers. This time in a quest to lead Nigeria from Aso rock.

Why do people believe so much in BAT for 2023? In this post, we try to find out.

1. Transition Of Energy And Power.
2. Decentralization of Lagos State Government.
3. The State’s Economy Boost.
4. Improvement Of Health Sector.
5. Support For Education.
6. Incorporation of Investments into Lagos.
7. Restructured Housing System.
8. Regard For The Environment.

Now he's been mute and confused.

This same Amaechi borrowed billions and sold state assets on his final days in office.

Whereas, LP will get at least 80% votes in Abia.

You are not informed. Zamfara has about 1.9 million voters while Abia has over 2 million.

*10 WAYS TO EASILY IDENTIFY PETER OBI SUPPORTERS ON SOCIAL MEDIA:*

1. They will never make posts campaigning for Obi based on what he did as governor of Anambra State.

2. They will never share evidence of Obi's previous achievements in public office.

3. They make many posts sharing Tinubu's doctored videos portraying him as bad, a drug dealer, and sick.

4. They share fake videos claiming that APC is in crisis.

5. They share fake and imaginary news that residents attacked Tinubu on campaign grounds

6. They Share fake news about how Buhari is not supporting Tinubu.

7. Then they will share some beautiful pictures of Obi - the type shared by PYO supporters just before the APC primaries which Asiwaju won.

8. They always share the results of fake online polls in favor of Obi to encourage themselves.

9. They share fake news claiming that the North does not support Tinubu.

10. They are always angry in their engagements and call Nigeria all sorts of unprintable names as a country. . . . . . . VOTE WISELY. ✌️
The funny thing is that even if I reply you with both videos and photos of Peter Obi's achievements in Anambra, I will still find you in another thread asking this same questions of what Peter Obi's achievements are.

Your urchins and Mikanites are just plain stupid.

My only concern in this election is the south South. If they vote for Peter Obi, then he will win.
The 25% in all southwest states except Ekiti is guaranteed. The 25% in North central states is also guaranteed.

The mistake most people make is thinking that Peter Obi is not known in the North. He has become quite popular, especially since Tinubu and the APC started talking about him.

Yes, 27% may seem high. However, bear in mind that Obi has a specific demographic in the north (minority Christians and non-northerners, on lockdown.
You can arrive at over 25% if you add the northerners that just like him based on what they heard.
