NYSC / My Bitter Experience With A Bus Driver And His Conductor In Jigawa State by joeybankz: 7:51pm On Aug 16, 2015
Hi guys,

Happy weekend to you all...

I want to share an experience I had while travelling from Jigawa state to Kano state this past Friday. I had plans of getting a bus heading to Abuja in Kano.

First of all i'm a corps member deployed to Jigawa state to serve my father land.
It hasn't been easy so far, however, I and so many other corps member decided to travel for a two week break after our state clearance.

I and 3 other corps members where fortunate enough to get a bus going to Kano, my plans was to travel to kano and then to Abuja, the others 3 corpers where travelling to Lagos. So our Destination was Kano...

On our way, the driver and his conductor without permission parked the bus and left all of us in the bus and went for Prayers. Everyone was angry, those who were yet to pay decided to follow another bus, I on the other hand have already paid with 200 naira as change which was still with the conductor, so I was stock and had to wait for them for up to 15 Min.

When the driver finally returned from the mosque, he was so angry that the other corps member had left. So he and his conductor decided that they will not give me my remaining change since I allowed the other corps members to leave, and they haven't paid yet.

I didn't understand them because they were speaking in Hausa and they didn't understand Pigeon english.

I got to understand them when I finally got to Kano and they bluntly refused to issue the change, it was a huge argument that passersby had to come, and most of them didn't understand english, the one who finally understood what I was saying said I was at fault, that since the driver went to pray and the corps members left without paying, that I should pay on behalf of the other corps members. It sounded so funny to me.

Anyway I thank God that I finally got my change from the conductor with more persuasion and no violence.

I really want Nairalanders to look into this case, if you were in my shoes what will you do?

Truely those guys who came around where of the opinion that I should pay since my fellow corpers left without paying.

You opinions please!!!

Webmasters / Re: 4 Tips To Get Adsense Approval Fast-2015 by joeybankz: 7:49am On Jun 12, 2015

Many people today think that getting Adsense approval is very difficult and requires you to have a “great site”, with lots of visitors to achieve. But it’s good to be realistic; they are certain guideline’s or “know-how” rules your website or blog has to pass for you to get Adsense approval.
Now I will give you 4 great tips and tricks to have get Adsense approval fast within 3 days!!!

4 great tips to get Adsense approval Fast!!

1. Design

Let’s start with the structure of your website, webpage or blog. It is important to have a clean and easy to read template/theme.
What I recommend is to have a white background and the letter text black or dark gray. This will go easy on the eyes of your readers.
Have a header with a menu where the pages or categories will show.In the sidebar, it is good to place recent entries, if possible with a thumbnail (small picture to preview), then a widget to search and if you want links to your web site categories.
Use a minimalist theme that loads easily… Remember Google loves speed!! (learn more about website speed:https://www.nairaland.com/2343465/top-4ways-increase-website-speed#34260867)
It is essential to know that been simple always wins. The Google team aren't looking to be wowed by your website’s beauty; they want your content to load quickly and be easily accessible.

Which brings us to the second point…

2. Pages.

I think this is one of the most important parts. You essentially need to create 3 pages:

-Privacy policy:
This is one of the most common mistakes that every Blogger makes and they do this many times before approval. Although there are people out there that say they have a privacy policy for a blog does not make sense, but they are wrong.
A Privacy policy actually describes to your readers about what they’re getting into your blog, what to do and what should not. So obviously, there’s nothing wrong with having a privacy policy. It shows Google that you value your visitors privacy and will tell them(your visitors) how you will do that. You can write or find the Privacy Policy Generated online (do not need a lawyer anyway).

– About page
Most people have agreed that having an “about” page has greater role and is an important step to get your Adsense approval fast. This will not only help establish a relationship with readers, but it will also make them trust you. Also, write your name and address through which you are applying for the Adsense account.

– “contact us” page.
Clearly, everyone has their own opinion. What one of your readers likes can be annoying for someone else. So it is better to give them the opportunity to talk to you and tell you how they feel about your blog, what they want to be released, what they like or hate.
It will also show the Google Adsense team that your site that really cares about its readers and not only about money and Adsense.

3. Use a Top Level Domain

Basically there are two types of Domains: Internet Top-level domains and Sub Domains.

Some Top-level domains are .com, .net, .org, .info, .me, .gov. Top-level country domains are .ng for Nigeria, .us for United States, .uk for United Kingdom, etc. Sub-domains are ..com ,.tumblr.com, ., etc. It is most important thing to use top-level domain because they help you to increase your site traffic and that can also help you to get Google adsense approval. Although you can use your blogger adsense for your sub-domain, it is always best to work with a top-level domain (you don’t need to break a bank!)
Another important thing about domain is the age of your blog. Because for most countries, Adsense has an age limit. No blog’s age below 6 months has ever been approved.(i might be wrong though!)

4. Content

Clearly you need good content to be approved by AdSense, but the question is how many articles do you need to apply for adsense?
There is no exact answer. Because I’ve seen many established blogs with 400+ articles and Google Adsense keeps rejecting them, while some people with 40-50 posts are enjoying the Adsense program making money. As I said there is no real answer. However, we can always predict things. In my experience, it should only apply after you more than 70 unique articles. Please make sure these are are articles you wrote yourself (unique), you can post articles from other website’s whilst giving due credit, but the large chunk of articles should be your intellectual property.

Also dear readers, please remember that your reason for having a blog should not only be because you want to display adverts on your site, but mainly because you want you readers to enjoy the information you are offering them. Be original, be realistic, be friendly and your visitors will love your website for that. And when you eventually decide to host Adsense on your website, these your loyal visistors will like click on some ads on your website.

Blog because your love your readers, not because you want to display Ads.

I can sure assure you that following these 4 points will help you get Adsense approval fast within 3 working days!!!!

Any comments? I would love to hear from you!!

You are mostly correct, but u knw google adsense are mostly not specific about there guidline, however, the pages aspect u mentioned is one of the most important, I remember when I applied, I was turned down, but after a research, I discovered I needed those 3 pages, I did and I was approved after two days. But concerning traffic and content or how old the blog should be b4 1 can apply, I don't think google has a specific number or time, in my case, I had close to 40 post of which 95% was mine, and the blog was approximately 3 mnths old, and I was having as much as 90 - 120 visitors per day, though I had all the required pages. I was approved when I applied.

We remember our martyrs who chose to die rather than usain bolting

We remember our martyrs who chose to go to the world beyond, rather than putting the lives of 3million of us on the line.

We remember our martyrs who chose to fight doggedly with pen wisdom and radio kudirat, rather than a rash decision of a rush of blood to the brain by declaring an unprepared war.

Rest in peace.

I've known ur people to be cowards, but hypocrite I'm just learning that now. This man u guys are declaring public Holiday for, is he still not the one u guys angrily, forcely and violently refused that his name be used for one of ur university? Thatz hypocrisy at the highest order if u ask me. I mean, no shame at all, and the one who wrote that rubbish must be among those who blocked roads to protest against his so called "martyrs".... Instead of remembering ur so called slain martyr, u are bringing some1 who doesn't have a single biz with June 12, some1 who died a more honourable death.... abeg face ur front and enjoy ur holiday if u are not already on strike.
Health / Re: What Is The Best Way To Treat E-coli by joeybankz: 5:50pm On Jun 10, 2015
The World Health Organization (WHO) has estimated an approximate 80% of the developing world population to meets their main primary healthcare needs y the use of the local traditional medicine (Baurmman, 1982).

Close to 25% of the prescriptions on drugs that are dispensed in the United States of America, has the content of atleast one active ingredient which is derived from a plant material or mineral. Some are made out of plant extract and then others are synthesized to mimic a natural compound or environment. It has always been made clear that one in every person in United States had made an attempt or tried atleast a alternative to a supplements (Eisenberg et al, 1998). In another follow up study which has reported that a number of respondents using the alternative therapies had now increased from its formal 33.8% in the 1990 to 42.7% in 1997. (Eisenberg et al, 1998).
