The station which operates on 15560 kHz in the 19 meter band shortwave from 7pm-9pm Nigerian time was taken over with Nigerian military martial music playing ,extoling the gallant and heroic antecedents of the Nigerian military from world war 2 to Liberia,Sierra Leone, Sudan, Bakasi among others
The 2 -hour programme was frequently punctuated by an Igbo female announcer called Nkemdidi Chukwumeka, denouncing MASSOB and IPOB while also declaring Ndigbo support and loyaly to Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to a listener ,“The announcements are in both English and Igbo.Immediately following the announcemnts are Hausa music calling for peaceful coexistence, and saluting PMB and the armed forces. It also called for an end to Boko Haram and death of Biafra, which died 45 yrs ago.

“The female announcer continued saying this is radio Biafra closing down forever.”
Details of the shutting down of the radio were sketcy, but sources close to the military told our correspondent on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the press that It was made possible by an elite team of special operations, who successfully infiltrated the Pro Biafra organisations abroad and provided the Nigerian Security with critical intelligence for the success of the operation.
“You know the NSA General BG Monguno is on top of his game” our source concluded.

PoliticsRe: Tonye Barcanister Ndokis, Bonny Are Tight Ibo Tribes by john124(op): 12:01pm On Oct 27, 2015
On Tuesday, 21st October 2015, president Buhari performed groundbreaking ceremony in Calabar to build a 268 kilometre Superhighway connecting Calabar-Ikom-Kastina-Ala, that would not connect the Igbo States.
There is no attempt by the federal government of Nigeria at even development and this is rightly seen as unfair by Igbos.
In many states of Nigeria like Lagos and Ondo, Igbo traders are subjected to punitive and discriminatory taxes. We recently experienced the closing down of the Mushin market built by Igbos, deportation of Igbos from Lagos, the threat by Oba of Lagos to throw Igbos into the lagoon, Dr Abraham Ariyo asking his friend, when the killing of Igbos in Lagos will begin and the latest economic discrimination against Igbos in Ondo state by imposition of a punitive and discriminatory tax on their businesses.
Igbos are often treated as aliens in their own country. Since independence there has been pogroms against them in North Nigeria. Boundaries of Igbo States were redrawn and oil wells belonging to Igbo States ceded to none Igbo speaking States and the Igbo names of the towns and villages changed. For instance, in Rivers state Obi Igbo became Oruigbo and umukrusu(children of Krusu) became Rumukrusu all in effort to marginalise Igbos.
The 2004 World Bank record of the list of loans Nigeria had taken shows that since 1958, 96% of the loans were used for projects in the Northern Nigeria,
3% went for projects in Yoruba Land and only 1% was spent on a project in Igbo States. Not surprising, the Central Bank of Nigeria has different figures from World Bank. Further more, it is estimated that over $5 billion of those loans were still with the World Bank and never made it to Nigeria.
Since Nigeria's independence from Britain, the federal government of Nigeria has been under-counting Igbos and Yoruba population to the benefit of the Hausas and fulanis. Even though Igbos are everywhere in Nigeria, they are given a figure that is almost half of their real population. The fact is that Igbos make up a far significant population of Nigeria than the federal government is ready to admit. East Nigeria is among the most densely populated part of the world and the region has very high birth rate. The list of the grievances of Igbos is endless and these are the reasons why many have decided that their future lies in Biafra.

thought I have said all I needed to say on Biafra, but the recent pro Biafra demonstration following the arrest of radio Biafra owner, and the high handed and disproportionate response of the federal government of Nigeria has forced me to revisit the issue.
I am Igbo and I make no apologies for my views about Nigeria. I am also first and foremost a human being. I love and cherish my Igbo and Nigerian identities, and would never exchange nor deny them.
However, my human identity surpasses my ethnic or national identities. I cannot support Igbos or Nigerians, if they are, being unfair, unreasonable, dishonest or violating fundamental rights of other human beings, irrespective of what I think of their victims and or their ethnic and religious identities because my loyalty is first and foremost to my humanity. The value I put on my human identity is greater than my ethnic and or national identities. I learnt from the Bible that God made then many nations of one blood.
Therefore, looking at the Nigerian dilemma, I do not see the solution in ethnic nationalism of the type being agitated for by those who want Nigetia to break into its ethnic nations. This is for the additional reason that the Nigerian problem is a human problem, which will follow any ethnic nation, which seceded from Nigeria, if a human solution is not first found within Nigeria. Corruption, prejudice, ignorance, disregard of the rule of law and violation of human rights are not ethnic problems. Therefore, why should the solution reside in breaking up of Nigeria?
There is no doubt that Igbos have genuine grievance against the Nigerian government. We have been systematically discriminated against and marginalised by successive Nigerian governments. Igbo land have been deliberately denied investments that would enhance its economic take off. Existing investments in Igbo land have been deliberately run down by the refusal of the successive federal government of Nigeria, including that of Goodluck Jonathan, to make the infrastructure investment necessary for their survival.
The Old Imo state is the only state in Nigeria that built its own airport from the contributions of the people. The Enugu, Calabar and port Harcourt airports have been deliberately down graded by denying them the type of status and investment Lagos, Kano and Abuja airports have enjoyed.
When Obasanjo was elected president in 1999, his first policy was to close Calabar and Port Harcourt seaports, thereby forcing the ports to be run down so that only the Lagos seaport can function.
Aba/Ikot Ekpene road is a federal highway connecting the people of Cross River and Akwa Ibom to Igbo Land and to Lagos. For the past 30 years, successive Nigerian governments, including that of Goodluck Jonathan have refused to rehabilitate the road because it would benefit Igbo States.
The Obasanjo's administration created a Niger Delta Ministry, whose main job was to build roads that alienated Igbo Land. They built East-West road that connects Akwa Ibom to Abuja and the A121 Highway that connects Akwa Ibom State to Lagos. The Nigerian government has money to build news roads outside Igbo speaking areas, but allow federal roads in Igbo land to decay.

TonyeBarcanista:
Contrary to the belief by some of my Igbo cousins, I have neither bashed their tribe nor am I 'dragging' land with them. I as an Okrikan will not go to Ndoki n Rivers state to sing their Ijawness to them. It is they that will decide their Ijaw heritage and descendency themselves. I am 100% certain that every true son and daughter of Ijaw know their root.

Please, I don't want to argue over this. This thread is for enlightenment to those that may not know.

I love you all and good morning.
your thread clarifies everything.
Not because they are in Rivers that makes them ijaw.
This is making me go haywire.

Good morning nairalanders this is an excerpt from an old thread showing that bonny people are ibos just a slight difference in their language with igbo.
From observation this argument has been on since 2009 on many forums.
Tonye barcanister you are making me go crazy with your unverifiable claims that ndokis are not igbos. I want to believe that you're from one of the kalabari speaking regions including abonemma, buguma, degema, bakana etc.
I grew up in Rivers state so i know for sure that ndokis, bonny people are igbo speaking tribes with slight difference in their grammatical meanings.
I hail from AkS (AKWA IBOM) and i know some regions in akwa ibom are linked to old greek and isreal.
There is even a forum on facebook that tells and proves that their traditions and festivals are similar to that of ibo. And i want to challenge you to move into any ndoki land and bring with you proof and evidence that they are otherwise.
http://igbodefender.com /2011/08/10/the-tight- igbo-connections-with-bonny/
Bonny is a town in the Nigerian Niger Delta. It is known for it’s Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal. But what many don’t know is that the most indigenes of that town are descendants of Igbos who would have been sold into slavery, had it not been for Olaudah Equiano’s campaign against the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
The Igbos who settled in Bonny developed a new dialect called Bonny Igbo. In fact, the first bible ever published in Igbo was printed in the Bonny Igbo dialect.
Bonny is also famous for being the place where Jaja of Opobo, an Igbo slave from Amaigbo, in today’s Imo State, first rose to prominence. He later led is followers to form the neihbouring kingdom of Opobo.
One of the most famous Bonny families today is the Jumbo family, which is descended from Oko Jumbo, another enterprising Igboman who was Jaja’s strongest rival in Bonny.

Kwankwaso to Yoruba elders: You can’t sack Fulani herdsmen 7
By Our ReporteronOctober 26, 2015 COVER
• Says Nigeria is home to all
From Oluseye Ojo, Ibadan
Former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has told Yoruba leaders, threatening to sack Fulani herdsmen from the South-West geo-political zone to ‘shut up’, saying such utterances could thwart efforts to achieve a peaceful Nigeria.
He disclosed this in a chat with newsmen in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, at the official opening of a N40 million prefabricated structure, comprising two-bedroom and three-bedroom flats donated by Vitafoam Nigeria Plc to the Government College, Ibadan, to mark the jubilee celebration of 1965 to 1971 set.
Prominent Yoruba leaders had two weeks ago risen from an emergency summit in Ibadan, and handed a red card to Fulani herdsmen in the South-West.
In the communiqué issued at the end of the summit, they sought for an end to Fulani herdsmen grazing in Yorubaland and directed all nomadic herdsmen to wind up their activities. The summit was held against the backdrop of the recent kidnapping of Chief Olu Falae, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation by Fulani herdsmen.
But Kwankwaso, a Fulani from Kano State, said crises between farmers and Fulani herdsmen are not peculiar to the South-West, adding that that the same issues recur in northern Nigeria, Niger Republic, Chad and Cameroun are not an exception.
Kwankwaso said sacking Fulani herdsmen from the South-West is not the solution, but all and sundry must understand the situation.
His words: “It is not only peculiar to the South-West. We just have to have a lot of understanding of the situation. Some of the issues being raised by the people, especially politicians, do not help anybody. If you sack the Fulani from here or you fight them, maybe it is because you are here. If you are a Yoruba man based in Kano, I don’t think you can contemplate sacking the Fulani. I am from Kano, but right now, I am in Ibadan. Where you are is your home. Today, Ibadan is my home. God forbid, if something bad happens here, it will affect me. If it happens in my village, I am not there; they won’t see me.
“I want people to go round Nigeria to know that everybody has got land. It is good for people to go round, at least, this country or beyond to realise that Nigerians are Nigerians; everybody comes from somewhere. But it is good for us to go round to see other places, to understand them, interact with them so that we can have a very peaceful Nigeria. This is what we are working for. So, when you see those people making the threats in the South-West, advise them to shut up.”
On the solution to the incessant crises between local farmers and Fulani herdsmen, Kwankwaso, called for their education. “I am Fulani. My parents settled many years ago. My father went to school and I have been to school. My children have gone to school. Now, I don’t think I will get cattle and go into a forest; that is education for you.”
