A non-governmental organisation, Global Center for Conscious Living Against Corruption, filed a suit asking for an order of mandamus to compel the inspector general of police to investigate allegations of forgery and perjury against Buhari, Vanguard reports. The suit, with number FHC/ABJ/CS/172/2015 was filed by Professor Andrew Chukwuemerie, SAN. Muhammadu Buhari’s certificate has been trailed by controversy They are seeking an order of the court to compel police to investigate the “alleged acquisition and possession of the West African School Certificate by Gen. Muhammad Buhari at Provincial Secondary School, Katsina in view of non-production of the said School Certificate of certified true copy thereof”. READ ALSO: Buhari’s Eligibility To Be Determined Next Week The court originating summons, supported by a 31-paragraph affidavit, sworn to by Joy Odoh, averred that the inspector general of police has an obligation under the Nigerian constitution to investigate allegations of forgery and lying on oath made against the APC presidential candidate and that the police had refused to do so despite repeated demands. According to the group, the allegations of forgery and perjury were too weighty to be ignored by the police, which is obligated to investigate all allegations of crime. A copy of a letter written by the Test Department of the National Office of the West African Examinations Council in Ghana states that Buhari’s name and records were not in its examinations archive thus suggesting that he was never a candidate for the examination set by the body. This was submitted as one of the exhibits. The group accused Buhari of lying on oath, saying he ought to be tried for perjury when he declared in an affidavit submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission that his secondary school certificate was with the Military Board, a claim denied by the Board. READ ALSO: Jonathan’s Doctorate Degree Now In Question The plaintiffs are also asking the court to determine whether by virtue of the provisions of the 1999 Constitution and the Police Act, the inspector general of police is not duty bound to investigate the allegations especially when the APC candidate has not submitted either an original copy or a certified true copy of his secondary school certificate to the INEC as required by law. Subsequent upon the plaintiffs’ application, the court gave an order for an accelerated hearing and directed the inspector general of police to enter his defence within seven days. The issue of Buhari’s certificate has generated a lot of controversy. With five days to the presidential election, the attempts to stop Buhari from contesting the election are gaining momentum. Several court cases have challenged his eligibility to participate in the forthcoming election. The APC has maintained that the court cases are sponsored by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) because the party is shaken by the emergence of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari as its presidential flag bearer. On March 3 the Court of Appeal in Abuja declared the PDP presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan eligible to seek re-election in the polls |
My ordeals in the hands of Buhari, by Akinfenwa March 23, 2015 By Oladele Ogunsola / Correspondent, Ibadan National Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) and former Commissioner for Education in the old Oyo State, Mojisoluwa Akinfenwa, at the weekend in Ibadan recounted how he and 26 others were thrown into jail for no just cause by the then head of state, Muhammadu Buhari. He said he and others were incarcerated in a’12’ *’16’ room at the Agodi Federal Prison for one year and nine months. The octogenarian, who said: “Buhari was a dictator and once a dictator, is always a dictator,” recalled that he and his then political colleagues were jailed for no known reason except that they were politicians. Akinfenwa said this while addressing some youths at the Oduduwa Frontliners’ Post National Conference Summit held at the Kakanfo Inn, Ibadan. The lecture titled, ‘Mapping out the future of the Yoruba youth and the Yoruba nation: The National Conference Perspective’, was delivered by Dupe Olatunbosun. In attendance at the event were the Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, and former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Taoheed Adedoja, among others. Speaking at the occasion, Akinfenwa harped on the imperative of truthfulness and leading the path of honesty, adding: “I am not a PDP man. I am AD, but when one cries, he should also be able to see. “For the good of this country, we must elect a good President. There are two options before us. The better one is Dr. Goodluck Jonathan. “Buhari was a dictator. And once a dictator is always a dictator. He showed brutality when he seized power and became the head of state of this country in 1994. “I was then a Commissioner in the administration of late Chief Bola Ige. I was clamped in prison for no just cause along with 26 others and kept in a 12 by 16 room at the Agodi Prison. We were sleeping on bare floor. “Among us were the then Ogun State Governor, Chief Olabisi Onabanjo, Ambrose Alli of Bendel, he seized the international passport of Pa Obafemi Awolowo, thus denying him the opportunity of going for overseas’ medical treatment,” Akinfenwa regrettably recounted. http://dailyindependentnig.com/2015/03/ordeals-hands-http://dailyindependentnig.com/2015/03/ordeals-hands-buhari-akinfenwa/ |

PDP INVADED US - APC 04. March 2015 This is an excerpt from the opinions and events being written out by prof. Yinka adeleji who claims to be political party investigator who graduated from a university in Ghana , Accra and studied political science. My name is Yinka Adeleji my folks normally call me inka I am a political scientist I schooled in Ghana I own a firm in Nigeria and I have known so many politicians and I have ventured into many political parties like the PPN, ACN, AC, PDP and the current growing and strong political party which is APC. I will have to say the APC played their politics very well and the pdp was just the sleeping lion. Let me warn Nigerians don't be fooled by the APC and PDP they are all bunch of clotpoles. As i am writing to you I know a lot of political underdogs and under cover agents in the APC and also in the pdp but the undercover agents in the APC put by the pdp are in large numbers. How come did jonathan knew of the plot of the APC to rig with jega attahiru on Feb 14th. I have not seen a trustworthy politician in Nigeria, I don't mean physically I mean in the entire regions of Nigeria. I can't give you a full detail of Nigerian politics in just one write up or article I would want to show the live pictures of the happenings in both APC and pdp and that will be after the elections by then maybe something's would have unfolded by themselves and I will come out to give you summary so you will know the mistake you made by voting in APC at the presidential elections . I have analysed the pdp and APC I have noticed one thing and that they have same thing in common like the birds of a feather that will flock together, they are all thieves in different department and faculties. The APC members signed a pact, I tell you that contracts are broken and called off, Obasanjo signed a deal with his political godfathers when he was released from prison, after some months of him being the head of state he tore away the mou he signed and fulfilled nothing that was enlisted. As for now I can only see one manageable candidate and that is Goodluck, I am not asking you to vote for him I am just telling you what you need to know. I am hoping that the YDP will present a better candidate and I will forget about Goodluck and go for YDP. If you hate PDP don't vote APC because you hate PDP cause as for now good luck is good to resit until APC or YDP produces a better candidate. APC Is not the change we want right now. You can vote them in at the state levels and so on but don't be in a hurry to conclude on your survey wait for YDP to present their candidates. The video will be available some days after the election. http://www.tinnews.com/2015-03/04/pdp-invasion/%hwfyly |
Abati Says Buhari Is Scared To Debate With Jonathan Clement Ejiofor, 3 hours ago Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share The Presidency alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), refuses to debate because he is scared. Reuben Abati Punch recalls that the opposition rebuffed all the efforts to get Buhari to debate with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Goodluck Jonathan. While the APC explained that they doubted the fairness of the process and thus did not want to join the orchestrated debates, the acting authorities said their opponents were simply scared. The recent statement by Reuben Abati, Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, reads: “The man to blame for this denial is General Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress. Getting him to debate the incumbent, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has been an uphill task. READ ALSO: Patience Jonathan Calls On Nigerians To Stone The Opposition? “To say that the man is scared, practically running away from an opportunity to debate his ideas against the incumbent’s, is to be charitable. He doesn’t want it. Every effort to get him to the podium has been rebuffed by him and his handlers.” Abati noted that Jonathan had accepted the invitations to 2 debates, adding that “Buhari was not interested” in any. The official stressed the importance of debates conduct for strengthening democracy in the country. Nigerians should have a chance to see the main contenders sharing their opinions face-t0-face. Abati narrated that first Buhari allegedly rejected a Sunday debate, saying he does not work by Sundays, then he purportedly refused to participate on Monday. After this both parties were said to have agreed on Tuesday, according to Abati, but… “Two days to this debate that would have been, I received non-stop frantic calls from the troika of Momoh, Izeze and Obaigbena. There had been a development, they said. The fresh development was that they had met that same evening with General Buhari and he did not agree anymore to a debate with President Jonathan. READ ALSO: Why Buhari Doesn’t Participate In Debates – Fani-Kayode “Rather, he wanted a town hall meeting, in which he would be the sole participant. Another town hall meeting could be organised the same day for President Jonathan and both could be aired back to back. That was his request and wish. Momoh and co wanted the President to agree to this.” In one of the recent developments Femi Fani-Kayode, Director of PDP’s campaign organizations, also blasted the APC presidential candidate saying that Buhari ddid not want to participate in debates because he is not equal to Jonathan. http://www.naij.com/398124-abati-says-buhari-is-scared-to-debate-with-jonathan.html |
Buhari returns, says seeing doctor not crime March 7, 2015 * PDP accuses APC of plotting to influence judges By Rotimi Akinwumi - Snr Correspondent, Abuja Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari, returned to Nigeria Friday morning from the United Kingdom (UK) after two weeks. General Muhammadu Buhari The APC presidential candidate, who touched down at the Namadi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, via British Airways plane, said he was fit to face the rigours of political campaign and stress of office of the Presidency, adding that he was physically and mentally fit. Asked on arrival by journalists whether he saw a doctor in London, the retired general said that visiting a doctor was not a crime. It will be recalled that Buhari left the country on Thursday, February 19, 2015, for London. However, the trip sparked off arguments about his health status back in Nigeria with the Presidential Campaign Organisation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, condemning the trip, insisting that the former head of state was in London to seek medical attention against claims that he was in the UK on a pleasure trip. Though, Buhari later appeared at the Royal Institute of Internal Affairs popularly called Chatham House, London, on Thursday, February 26, where he delivered a lecture, the PDP still insisted that the public appearance at Chatham House was a mere face-saving effort to conceal his real reasons for being in London. Arriving the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 5:40 a.m on Friday, Buhari, decked in a black flowing gown with the collar of his white shirt protruding, was ushered into the hands of waiting journalists, who had been keeping vigil since about 3:30a.m at the Abuja airport. Responding to questions on his mission in London, he said he only took some time off the campaigns to get some rest. “I just went off for a couple of weeks to rest. That’s all I did,” he said. Pressed further by journalists on whether he ever visited any hospital while holidaying in UK, Buhari who said that seeing a doctor has never been a crime responded thus: “What is wrong for me to go to the hospital? Am I not here now? Aren’t you seeing me? Are you seeing a sick man?” Asked to throw more light on his appearance at Chatham House, the APC presidential candidate said: “I went to Chatham House, I read an address and there was a question and answer session. That’s all.” Buhari who was accompanied on the returned trip by the Deputy Director General of his Campaign Organisation, Senator Olurumbe Mamora, was received on arrival by a horde of APC chieftains and supporters. Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Friday raised the alarm that APC was planning to arm-twist the judiciary, especially in Lagos State, to get favourable judgment in any litigation in which the party and their leaders have immediate or remote interest. Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, Femi Fani-Kayode, director of Media and Publicity, PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, while raising the alarm, also faulted the rally planned for Lagos today by the APC tagged “Freedom Walk.” Fani-Kayode while condemning the walk, described it as “a voyage of delusion.” He said: “Leaders of the APC have openly boasted of their intention to do this and have constantly told all those that care to listen that they own the Lagos State High Court.” He, however, said that the PDP does not believe that the judges would trade their dignity for financial inducement. “We do not believe them and neither do we believe that any judge of the Lagos State High Court or elsewhere will allow him or herself to be compromised or used. “We have every confidence in the Nigerian judiciary and we trust and believe that, in the highest and most noble tradition of the Nigerian bench, our judges will maintain their hard-earned integrity and will not allow themselves to be compromised by the corruptive influence of the APC and its fraudulent leaders. We believe that such evil manipulations and attempts by the APC to pervert the course of justice will be resisted by the courts,” he said. The opposition party, Fani-Kayode further alleged, is planning to engage in character assassination of some members of the PDP and has procured the services of some persons outside the shores of the country to do the hatchet job. “They have offered huge sums of money to the former staff of numerous PDP leaders, including the President, the Vice President, the National Chairman, the DG of the Presidential Campaign Organisation, the Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, the National Security Advisor, two Directors of the Presidential Campaign Organisation including my good self and numerous other key government and party leaders and functionaries to fabricate the most unbelievable, salacious, chilling and macabre tales about their former principals in an attempt to discredit us,” he said. In condemning today’s planned walk in Lagos by the APC, Fani-Kayode insisted that the walk was unnecessary, as he said that it was not a walk for the party per se, but a walk “to drum support for its sinking leader and overwhelmed godfather, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. “The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation considers the march preposterous, and a deliberate attempt by the APC to try to shore up the sagging image and reputation of Tinubu in the light of the mind-boggling revelations, in a TV documentary, titled: “Unmasking the Real Tinubu,” about how he has almost privatised Lagos State. “We would not have bothered about the APC and the decision of its members to bear their silly brooms during their pro-Tinubu march in Lagos, but for the information at our disposal, which link them to a plan to hurl invectives, as they have always shamelessly done, at our presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan, our governorship candidate in Lagos, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, and some of our party leaders, including Chief Olabode George and Senator Musiliu Obanikoro,” he said. Describing it as a jamboree, he went further to accuse the APC of paying youths the sum of N10,000 each to get their support for the rally. “We make bold to say that if there should be any rally or protest in Lagos, such should be directed against the exposed fake lion of Bourdillion. “The people should use the rally to demand to know how he acquired the humongous items of property listed against his name in the squalid documentary. “The time has come for the good people of Lagos to deliver themselves from the bondage of the APC and its errant and autocratic godfather. “The forthcoming general elections present the opportunity to put an end to the evil reign of a gang of politicians and their leader in the APC, who have appropriated the commonwealth of Lagos to service their selfish political and economic agenda to the detriment of the people. “The looting must stop. The deception must stop. The people must say through their votes that ‘enough is enough’. “We, therefore, call on Lagosians, especially the youths who have been mobilised and promised N10,000 each to march tomorrow, to collect the money, since it is their money anyway, and reject these charlatans and their lying APC at the polls,” he said. http://dailyindependentnig.com/2015/03/buhari-returns-says-seeing-doctor-not-crime/ |
MASSOB vows to resist polls conducted by Jega 1 BY OUR REPORTER ON MARCH 5, 2015 POLITICS From CHIDI NNADI, Owerri Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has warned that it will resist elections in the South if the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, refuses to go. The MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, who gave the warning yesterday at a world press conference, held at the MASSOB headquarters annex, New Owerri in Imo State, said the resolve of his group stemmed from various allegations of bias levelled against the INEC boss. In his address entitled: Jega Must Go, Uwazuruike known as the Ijele Ndigbo, said: “It has become increasingly worrisome that despite strong allegations of bias against the INEC boss, Attahiru Jega, he (Jega) is still preparing to conduct the forthcoming general elections.” He said the group’s worry stemmed from the fact that elections conducted by the INEC boss would lack credibility and unavoidably put the nation in serious crisis. “In such crisis, as usual, the safety of lives and property of Ndigbo in the North and other parts of Nigeria will be targets for destruction. “From the onset, Jega was not prepared for free and fair elections. He demonstrated that by his infamous 30,000 polling units, where he allotted more than two-third of the polling units to the North. Despite public outcry, the Senate also passed a resolution stating that the polling units should not be used. Still, Jega went ahead and converted the polling units to voting centres in the North,” he said. The MASSOB leader also pointed out that Prof. Jega was able to distribute more than 90 per cent of the permanent voters’ cards (PVCs) in the North, including Boko Haram infested states of Yobe, Borno and Adamawa, while he failed to distribute 50 per cent of the same in the South before the elections were shifted. He noted that even when the elections were shifted, there had been an avalanche of allegations that Jega would be biased in the conduct of the March and April elections. “Plateau State Governor, Mr. Jonah Jang, has taken INEC to court based on the fact that the PVCs meant for distribution in his state were yet to arrive. Besides, other state governors are still complaining that PVCs meant for their states are yet to be printed. “Jega wants to organise a kangaroo election, where he intends to pronounce his preferred candidate the winner of the election. This much has been stated by the South- East, South-South Leaders Forum, led by Chief Edwim Clark. The Forum also exhibited evidences of the minutes of meetings by Jega and members of Northern Elders Forum. Till date Jega is yet to refute the allegations,” he said. Uwazuruike said his group was disturbed by the catastrophe his agenda might provoke, saying the impending calamity could be avoided by Jega’s exit. http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=107655 |
Kolade354:You guys should make your stand and also declare your interest known to the public Three different nations I like that so much stories. |
They want Biafra they should just declare them a nation so that we would rest so that I would have enough stories to tell my grand children |
Biafra must be declared an independent state before the end of July 2015. 11th November 2014 At the meeting held in Enugu state Nigeria, the Secretary general of the freedom of Biafra movement Enugu chapter, chukwuebuka said that the Biafrans are dying to see the actualization of Biafra as a sovereign state. He said that they sincerely hope that the Nigerian govt frees them from the bondage of being a Nigerian adding that the true biafrans weren't counted during the 2006 census in Nigeria and they also won't be voting in the 2015 general elections. Also the media and publicity secretary added that they would campaign for whoever promises to declare Biafra as a nation. when talking about the militants he said the militants had no interest for the Niger deltans but carried along with them selfish interest. They ought to have fought for our freedom. We are making a plea to biafrans to come out and stand for their rights as a Biafran, we would write a letter to United Nations once more to make our stand. We want a peaceful dissociation not a violent disintegration but whereby that's not heeded and respected hmmm... we have no other option than to use the other method. http://www.tinnews.com/2014-11/biafra-a-state-in-july |
APC Loses 2,000 members to PDP in Ondo March 2, 2015 Barely one week after losing 1,500 of its members to the Peoples Democratic Party in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, the All Progressive Congress Party (APC), at the weekend, lost another 2,000 members in the state to the PDP. The defection took place during a campaign rally led by the state governor, Olusegun Mimiko, at Okitipupa and Ilaje local government areas of the state. The governor and coordinator of the party’s presidential campaign for Southwest, who led the campaign rallies to the council areas to solicit support for the presidential candidate of the PDP, Goodluck Jonathan, and other candidates of the party in the state said the dominance of the PDP in the state is total. Mimiko thus urged the people to ensure they vote massively for Jonathan to ensure a resounding victory for the president and the PDP. He added that a PDP government at the centre means the state would benefit more from the Federal Government. At the rally held in Okitipupa, about 2,000 members of the APC, led by Mrs Grace Adenuga, Mr Ejobe Friday, Mr Fagbounle Olakunle and Mr Sunday Omoyeye, defected to the PDP. The defectors hinged their decision on the achievements of the PDP in the state and at the national level as well as their belief that the President, if re-elected, will implement the recommendations of the report of the National Conference convened by the President last year. Those who at the rallies, attended by all the PDP leaders from the zone including, Kingsley Kuku, Akintoye Albert, Sola Ebiseni, Oladunni Odu, John Ola Mafo and Eddy Olafeso, among others. Mimiko warned the people not to fall prey to the negative change being propagated by the opposition parties. He stressed that votes for Jonathan would translate to more dividends of good governance in Nigeria, adding that it is only President Jonathan’s antecedents that can lead Nigeria to the Promised Land owing to his genuine humanitarian services to the nation. The governor urged them to support a true democrat like the President, who believes in the implementation of the reports of the National Conference in the best interest of all Nigerians. http://dailyindependentnig.com/2015/03/apc-loses-2000-members-pdp-ondo/ |
