Like i said, it all depend on you and how you market your product. I do go to cold room, frozen store, i market online, jiji, etc and i do street marketing too so there are always demand and market for me but i dont know about others.

Today we shall be discussing way to improve goat immunity. Strong immunity in goat prevents them from falling sick and if there is epidemic around they may not be infected. One of the herbs I used for this is bitter leaf. This leaf is good for goat as well as human. Just cut some branch and give it to them. They will eat as many as they like. To be continued...

There is special chemical manufactured to remove tick, this can be spray on them periodically. However care must be taken to protect sensitive area like eyes. Happy Sunday to you all.

Another way I used to remove tick from my goat is by application of this whitetish powdery chemical popular called pif_ paf. This makes the tick to loss it grip and be removed easily. However great care must be ensured to avoid story. ...to be continued.

If I were you I would advise you go to remote area where you can get cheap land. Invest in vegetables it takes just 3 weeks for you to make your money then start to rear animal. Goat is now hot cake. If you interact very well you can still least 1 hectare of land for just 5K. Agric is where the money is now.

It was a tiring experience,we contracted some women to help hasten the harvest as herder's have started scavenging for foliage with immediate effect, imagine a Fulani boy waiting with his cattles for you to finish before entering your farm, it's damn serious.
This one even speaks Hausa ( An'gama?Have you finished? As if na their rights to enter the farm Omo by force harvesting started, we left the farm very late immediately our neighbors came because those Fulani nor want go.Our neighbor has to employ one of the Fulani boy to help him cut his Sorghum;the man was scared like he had a bitter experience with them before.
The soil covering the Bambara nut is so strong that it's making the digging process difficult,we regretted not digging up during the raining season but no wahala,we will be digging it for fun intermittently as we progress.

Let continued on lice or tick control we started. I told you I practice organic method of rearing but this aspect is one I have not been able to use organic method to control them, therefore I used chemical though research is still on to determine how to control these insect in organic way. Goat usually has tick that suck their blood therefore causing anemia
and discomfort when they feed inside the bush. I normally observed the animal , when I notice this, I add little quantity of kerosene to the spot this will make the critter to be uncomfortable and reduce it grip on the animal causing it to be removed easily. I throw them inside fire or put them on solid ground and use my leg to kill it. Make sure you kill it, if not it can re infest your animal or yourself. However great care must be taken when carry this out as I almost lost 2 pregnant goat for this reason 2 years ago...to be continued.

Factors that determine multiple birth in goat are many, most of it about 50% lies on buck some lies on doe, while others lies on food and management.

It is possible for a goat to bear 4 kids especially for Nigeria dwarf however is scarce and this depends on so many factors with great emphasis on genetic make up of the male.

Like the mother goat you are selling how many children she use to born and how many month they will mature. How many month is your goat maturity.

Maturity depends on so many things like food and management. They mature around 18months for female and 8 months for male. One of the male goat I slaughtered for my wedding was 8 months while one of my female goat that was given birth to give birth itself at exactly 18 months.

No Problem. Yet it is. It can only be harmful if is too much. One of the things I like about goat is there good instinct . They know the right amount to eat that is good for them.

Today we shall suspend the foods that can be used to feed goat and focus on challenges that farmer face while rearing goat. One of the challenge is worm. Goat needs to be deworm periodically. Many people use over the counter medicine but in my farm I practice organic method . One of the way I used to reduce worm load in my farm is to give them pawpaw leave, especially the male type.
