1John 4:1-6 says; "Test them to find out if the spirit they have comes from God. FOR MANY FALSE PROPHETS HAVE GONE OUT EVERYWHERE. This is how you will be able to know whether it is God's spirit: ANYONE WHO ACKNOWLEDGES THAT JESUS CHRIST CAME AS A HUMAN BEING HAS THE SPIRIT WHO COMES FROM GOD. The last thing i would do is to argue with a muslim. It's not worth my time except duty calls. If you carefully study the Pauline or Johannine christology, you would truly understand who Jesus is. In colossians 1:15-20, it says and i quote; "CHRIST IS THE VISIBLE LIKENESS OF THE INVISIBLE GOD.....,FOR THROUGH HIM GOD CREATED EVERYTHING IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH, the seen and unseen things, including spiritual powers, lords, rulers, and authorities. GOD CREATED THE WHOLE UNIVERSE THROUGH HIM AND FOR HIM.......FOR IT WAS BY GOD'S OWN DECISION THAT THE SON HAS IN HIMSELF THE FULL NATURE OF GOD".

JESUS SAID THESE WORDS HIMSELF in John 5:22-23 and i quote; "Nor does the Father himself judge anyone. He has given his Son the full right to judge, so that ALL WILL HONOUR THE SON IN THE SAME WAY AS THEY HONOUR THE FATHER. Whoever does not honour the Son does not honour the Father who sent him."

Philippians 2:10-11; And so, in honour of the name of Jesus, all beings in heaven, on earth, and in the world below will fall on their knees, and all will openly proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The Father was not crucified, but rather the Son was. So there's still the mighty Supreme Father in heaven. If you study soteriology and christology, you would understand that the fact that Jesus was crucified doesn't lessen His glory. And that's what st. Paul explained in Philippians 2:6-11 and i quote; "Jesus always had the nature of God, but he did not think that by force he should try to become or remain equal with God(the Father). Instead of this, of HIS OWN FREE WILL HE GAVE UP ALL HE HAD, AND TOOK THE NATURE OF A SERVANT. He became like man and appeared in human likeness. He was humble and walked the path of obedience all the way to death--his death on the cross...,"

I said: The name God is LIKE a surname. Yes, Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary defines surname as THE NAME BORNE IN COMMON BY MEMBERS OF A FAMILY.

If according to John 1:1-18 and Isaiah 9:6-7 and John 20:27-29, the Son(Jesus) is God, and also the Father(Jehovah, Yahweh) is God and both are God and God is a title(name) common to both of them.

You must be silly if you're waiting for me to show you a book of Christ. These disciples where taught everything by Jesus, they were filled with the Holy Spirit, and I believe in what they have written. Are you trying to dispute Isaiah? Because Isaiah prophecied in Isaiah 9:6-7 that Jesus is God. Are you disputing St. John the disciple who wrote in John 1:1-18 that Jesus is God? You're being sentimental and even adamant, free yourself from this and read those passages. John 21:24-25 says a lot. "NOW THERE ARE MANY OTHER THINGS THAT JESUS DID. IF THEY WERE ALL WRITTEN DOWN ONE BY ONE....THE WHOLE WORLD WOULD NOT HOLD THE BOOKS THAT WOULD BE WRITTEN.

When Jesus came down to the earth, someone was in authority as usual and that is God-the-Father. I've tried explaining that God is like the surname and they have their own individual names. Jesus is the Son of the Father, 'The Son is not the Father'. The Father and the Son are God(very united). Think about it.

Jesus is the visible manifestation of the invisible God. No wonder, when Phillip said "Show us the Father", Jesus said "I have been with you all these while, don't you know that to have seen me is to have seen the Father?."

John also wrote in John 1:18 that NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN GOD" but ONLY THE SON, WHO IS THE SAME AS GOD, AND IS AT THE FATHER'S SIDE, HE HAS MADE HIM KNOWN.

John 1:1-3 tells us that "in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was the same as God or the Word was God". This Word is Jesus, because John 1:14 tells us the Word became a human being(was made flesh)....and recieved glory as THE FATHER'S ONLY SON.

John 1:18 tells us that this ONLY SON IS THE SAME AS GOD AND IS AT THE FATHER'S SIDE.
This makes me believe that the name of the Son is Jesus Christ (or Immanuel) and the name of the Father is Yahweh or Jehovah e.t.c. The Son is God and the Father is God, but the Son is not the Father. Both are God. And they are United-as-the-source-of-eternal-life as can be seen in John 5:26.

Also read John 20:24-29 The disciples normally referred to Jesus as teacher, master, rabbi, but upon resurrection, they said in John20:25 "We have seen the Lord!". Thomas the disciple put his fingers in the hands of Jesus and instantly exclaimed to Jesus in John20:28 "MY LORD AND MY GOD!".

And Jesus replied "Do you believe because you see me? How happy are those who believe without seeing me!"

Be real. Everyone reacts. But what matters most is how one reacts. From the muhammed film incident, certain people reacted by burning, killing, violence and threats but our christian bishops are reacting by sending letters in a diplomatic way. This shows a high level of reasoning, intelligence and maturity. It also shows respect for human life. Jesus said; "Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword." violence is vanity.

Jesus is the suffering messiah. Jesus is an almighty King. We cannot choose a part of Christ to adore. We must adore all about him. Revelations 1vs12-20 shows us how great Jesus Christ is in heaven; handsome, white hair, fine robe, gold belt, seven stars in his right hand, a sharp two-edged sword in his mouth, his face as bright as the midday sun. Yes, Jesus is Lord. However, we shouldn't forget his suffering. Revelations 5vs1-14 reminds us that only Jesus was found worthy to break the seals and open the scroll. This is how Jesus was shown in heaven; A Lamb which appeared to have been killed. A Lamb who died a sacrificial death to save people from every tribe, language, nation and race. Surely, this death is represented by the CRUCIFIX and cross. It can never be forgotten. CHRIST ON THE CRUCIFIX MUST BE VENERATED AS WELL AS THE GLORIOUS SIDE OF CHRIST(seated at the right-hand of God). Rev 5vs13 says all living beings in the universe must sing to the honour and glory of Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb.

Jesus was venerated at his place of birth, even, a thousand angels came down from heaven to worship Him in bethlehem. As well, Jesus must also be venerated at His place of death and must even be extra-venerated because His death is a sign of victory.
