my take is that they are many ways to serve one country it must not be by joining the army(one of the major problem of the military is not being fare in handling their personels) |

ugo4u: These are trying times for the army yes I agree(fact), but it is the best time to join. The officer might not be far from the truth with respect to the possibility of paying the supreme price, but if it is not your time nothing can kill you, Moreover I've seen a multinational Oil coy staff die of common headache, and just yesterday attended a Thanksgiving of an Lt that have spent close to 3yrs in Borno. Ask yourself some salient questions, Is it lack of jobs that is driving you to join the army? Is it pageantry? or a genuine desire to defend your country? You alone can answer these questions truthfully, because you can't lie to yourself afterward, you make your decision. I usually advice my friends to take time and visit 44 Army Ref hospital, after seeing the patients there by default you will know if you really wanna join or not u have made ur point and i have noted, how i wish i can switch my name to urs (correct guy )am aint going , if and insider could give me that advice why then should i join bro? (better days ahead my life no start and end with army) success to those going. |

classicabdul21: That is how somebody came here and was ranting that his father is a board member that the list will be out this week, today is thursday...some people have no shame, u keep calling God's name for favor while playing wit people emotions, if your father is a Major Gen, Brigadier Gen or colonel its none of our business, becoz u really dont know how the system works in dis country, A single house of Rep member has more chances of getting you to final list than the majority of the 1 and 2 star Gen, Politicians have more upper hand of getting you into the military or any government agency. My father is this my Father is that....get your childish head outta here. well said bro me i don zero my mnd if ma name show good if not life goes one. |

SolutionMee:

They're just getting sense. If they've been killing them this way, the terrorists wouldn't have killed them in battalion. But all the same, where's our humanity? I'm not against killing terrorists but I'm solely against killing them in a brutal manner. They're humans too. They don't deserve to die this way. I can't believe that our army can kill a "less dangerous" militia this way all in the name of having a reprisal attack. Humanity comes first above any war. ur funny |

odimbannamdi: hehehe...#vivid
i remember that one of those incidences happened on the day the GOC of 1div, who happens to be the course mate of the chairman of the selection board, came around.
One stupid candidate asked a question and as soon as the VSOs turned their back in departure, Lt. Abel ordered us to plant our pots.
It was by sheer luck that the VSOs turned their heads and saw us in the new "formation" that they ordered him to release us.
Pinning of head still happens and the senior men are well aware, but nobody is doing anything about it. i hate pining of head that stuff dey inhumane |
