About 20 people, mostly children, were feared killed and several others injured following a clash between farmers and Fulani herdsmen in Numan local government area of Adamawa State last night Monday, November 20th. According to reports, trouble started when a farmer was killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen. The farmers in the community came together and carried out a reprisal attack.

Many of the injured victims are currently receiving medical attention at Numan General Hospital. Residents in the community have fled their homes for fear of another reprisal attack.

The situation has since been brought under control with the drafting of the military to the area. The Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State Command, CP Moses Jitoboh assures those affected that justice will be served as the police will leave no stone unturned in arresting the perpetrators of the killings.

Typical politician! They talk without facts, without data to back what comes out of their mouth. Anambra made Lagos? Really? Like seriously? So contributions from people of other parts of the country are negligible. Not to mention the ingenious and hospitality of the good people of Lagos, who are magnanimous enough to open their doors and land to people from other parts of the country to live and make their livelihood.

The Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano who got re-elected for a second term last Saturday, says Lagos State is what it is because of the impact of the indigenes of Anambra state residing in the state. In a recent interview with Channels TV, Governor Obiano said

"We have very rich Anambra people all over the world. Anambra made Lagos what it is, whether they want to accept it or not, the taxes that are paid are mostly by Anambra people".

The governor said that security is a major issue in the state and that for this his second term in office, he would keep himself awake so that residents of the state can sleep with their two eyes closed.

“Before I came in, security was an issue. I came, I saw, I conquered and it’s not a static thing. Security is continuous, so we are moving and we are going to put in more efforts to ensure that the next four years is even far better than they have seen it now. I’ll keep awake so that all Anambra people and those living in Anambra can sleep with their two eyes closed. I’m not going to drop the ball, my eyes are on the ball. I am working hard to ensure that at the end of my eight years, governors coming after me will not have to depend on FAAC to run the state and that’s what I’m doing in investments. Security is the greatest thing that I have done and it is bringing a lot of people in. The greatest thing we want to do is to emulate what the Israelis have done'.

Yewande Peregrino, a well known Make-Up artist in Lagos and the owner of Beyond Faces Makeovers has died.

She reportedly died this morning after an illness which sources say she has been battling for a couple of weeks now.

Yewande is a mother of one, who is a well known face and made a success of her career in the beauty and make up business. She belonged to the league of leading makeup artists in Nigeria and has worked with many big names.

She built a successful brand, Beyond Faces, which she ran for over 10 years. Details of her last moments are still sketchy as at the time of filing this report, but her friends and relatives have taken to the social media to lament Yewande’s sudden demise.

Operatives of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, in Abuja have arrested one Mr Godstime Ategho over the horrific injuries he inflicted on his 7-year-old son after the child ate food meant for him.
According to the agency, the 29-year-old plumber tied up the boy and plugged a pressing iron which he then used to run all over body.

"The man in this picture has just been arrested by NAPTIP operatives in Kuje, Abuja for engaging in what a father should not be involved in.
He brutalised his 7 year old son and used pressing iron on him. The boy's offence? He ate the food kept for the father and on return from work, the 29yr old plumber became angry with the little boy, brutalised him, took a hot iron and pressed it on different parts of his body, thereby causing him grievous body injury. The suspect identified as Godstime Ategho, from Etiope East LGA, Delta State, is Urhobo by tribe. This is child abuse and NAPTIP condemns it totally."

My main concern is not even d small nature of d meal bt d mony budgeted for dis and yet see wat dey gave d pupils also, d fact DAT dey packaged d indomie in nylon bag. Putting hot meal or fast food in nylon or plastic bag isn't hygienic as it causes cancer especially wen d meal is hot and put in d nylon. Doctors in d house can confirm or discard my assertion. sarrki defend your paymaster.

It is not free. It's Nigerians money, therefore they aren't doing nobody and favour. How can what am seeing considered a meal? Just in the name of stealing that is all I see. This is terrible bad and redicuolus, what a shame.

The Federal government's school feeding programme kicked off in Niger state today. According to Facebook user, Adamu Aliyu Paiko, the photos he shared above shows pupils of the Zubairu Primary School in Niger state with portions of Indomie and egg they were served by the Free feeding officials earlier today. Recall that one of APC's promises to Nigeria is to feed students. Read what Adamu wrote below
