You get the point.

I have tried to relocate to Cayman Islands in the past. That small country will only give you a work visa if you're coming to do a job their citizens can't do. That's what Tinubu is trying to achieve here. If foreign workers are expensive, you will use local ones or train them. Simple!

Bro, only those affected would be the ones to understand, if our national/ natural resources can be used to build their big companies then they owe us that right of helping us to grow capacity instead always throwing us as apprentice with peanut under them. Train, develop and pay us well, boys will stay in the country.

PBAT is frustrating the likes of Dangote who prefers to hire Indians than as experterat than Nigerians and most tech companies who love foreign tech guys grin . The truth is we have talented Nigerians who can do better or the same thing but black man inferiority complexity and not wanting fellow blacks to grow is why most of this big biz prefers foreign experterat angry

Politics / Re: Tinubu Launches Expatriate Employment Levy (EEL) by Johnson5258: 9:37am On Feb 28
This is an excellent idea, this will make our employers start appreciating us and invest in building local content capacity instead paying expatriate hugely and giving us peanuts.

Imagine when expatriate is earning about 9k dollars per month and his juniors doesn't earn 300k per month, they will still get local allowances, when the company can afford to train their own staff to be an expert.

The expatriate will then repatriate the funds to their country, alot of anomalies.

There can be expatriate but the organisation must be tasked with building their own staff capacities which will over time become the strength of the nation by increasing knowledge.

Ogiame:
You have to give it to Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu on anything Tax and Levy's....

Politics / Re: CBN Discontinues Payment Of BTA/PTA In Cash by Johnson5258: 9:46pm On Feb 15
I watched the CBN Governor on Channels TV last week, he said CBN had over 7 Billion dollars backlog when he assumed office and he got Deloitte to audit the backlog which reduced it to 5 billon dollars while 2 billion dollars was unaccounted for, and some people did not need the dollar but for personal gain. So, the CBN has paid 2.6 billion promising to clear the balance of 2.4 billion soon. Nigerians are problem of Nigeria, I keep saying it. What is obvious in this administration is that the guys at the helms of affairs are mostly rich guys including the president, coming up with the policies that will hunt the rich and self centered guys might not be too hard. The ministry of information should do well by educating Nigerians on their moves to erode propagandas and we all should reduce our request for international goods and services except for raw materials.

Crime / Re: My Experience At LASU NIMC Center by Johnson5258: 11:28am On Feb 02
It is quite a sad situation but what I know about some Nigerians is that they don't take some things serious especially government, I did my NIN in the year 2014 that was 10 years ago at Panseke, Abeokuta with just 50 naira for printing of enrolment slip,President Buhari did his own registration after he became president 8 years ago then mandated every Nigerian to enrol and you are just going to enrol now, that's not okay really. Some still doesn't have BVN, it's bad. A stitch in time saves nine.

Back it up with data.

stop writing rubbish. How many students can afford schooling abroad? Less than 2%. How many Nigerians can even afford 3 square meal daily in your emilokan government?
Education / Re: Parents Groan As Institutions Hike Fees By Over 100 Percent by Johnson5258: 11:30pm On Jan 18
God will bless you, they pay heavily to school abroad, Nigerians and are expecting to pay peanut here, part of the school fees being paid abroad is what is giving banks FX backlogs, leave jaaapa to those who got jobs alone and see how drastically the figure will drop.

After the last ASUU strike, majority enjoying cheap schools moved their kids to private university, my school had to stop Top up program because they had alot of Jambite.

Abeg leave that story of no money, for this country......na lie....

Exousiang01:

You forgot to tell us their tax rate?
You fit pay the tax wer dem dey pay for Germany?
We are not even paying noting on tax in Nigeria and you guys are already shouting "TAX payers money" how much una dey pay as tax.

What is the population of Germany.
The number of students in high schools and higher institutions in Nigeria alone is probably close to the population of the entire Germany.

Outside the subsidy, how much are they still paying?
Are they paying an equivalent of N100k.
What they pay after the subsidy is still higher than what you are paying in Nigerian higher institutions, so what exactly is your point.
Cos I can get you that they are not paying less than the equivalent of N500k.
Is any public higher institution in Nigeria paying up to N500k.
Let's stop talking because we read something somewhere.
Let's be logical and rational.
As at the time Germany was championing the world war building weapons, building cars our fathers were still admiring bicycles and calling them iron horse. You want to compare.

If we want same quality of education the west is providing we should be able to pay what the west is paying, don't come and say the economic reality here is different, it it's then education should be different.

10years ago when I had my twins, I wanted to register them at Meadow Hall, I got there, made my enquiries, I couldn't afford it, I went away, got them into busy minds just at Kunsela, chisco bustop, that was what I could afford, as time went by I changed their school, they are in the school I love them to be.
I kept on cutting my coat according to my pocket, not put them in an expensive school and start blaming the government.
Put your Pikin for school wer you go fit pay

Education / Re: Parents Groan As Institutions Hike Fees By Over 100 Percent by Johnson5258: 11:22pm On Jan 18
I don't understand what you are saying, the same students protesting here have the money to further their education abroad, paying heavily and boosting other countries economy, if their parent can afford abroad school fees then they should adjust to this one too, after all you don't want the government to borrow.
