Building houses for staff should take up to 1k hectares if properly managed.

Some universites (ABU for example) did not have that luxury. So, 7000 hectatres for staff, student housing and so forth.

Uniabuja when it started in 1988 had limited housing for staff...they hurriedly converted a Shagari estate some kilometers away into staff housing...for senior staff.

The permanent site nowadays has a lot of development, but the staff housing issue remains. Student housing has 'improved'...so to speak.

But I doubt government has money for extensive university development like it did in the 1960's and 70's...when unis were fewer, and were easier to fund.

School that will still be expecting funding from Federal government. That's also part of wasteful spending.

Imagine how many blocks of 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom flats that will sit on that land.
