Okpaleke made waves because he wasn't accepted by the ordinance in his cathedral (mbaise) which was a serious case then. He is very much eligible to be voted for but he's a new boy on the block against the old experienced hands.
I wholeheartedly support him to be next pope when I heard of his elevation to cardinal but as I said, it will take lots of grace to complete the fairy take story of a rejected bishop turning into a pope who his people will look towards to sherpard them.
