So sad I recieved the same visa refusal letter this morning despite my high hopes.
I had all my documents intact and my company was my sponsor. I had been following this thread and taking note of all the documents i will be needing and made sure i submitted all at Vsf office. My Concern is do this VOfficers just refuse visas based on their mood or personal discretion. cos truth be told i gave it 100% of my physical and financial input into this and someone just decides to refuse a visa because they feel your purpose of visit is not justified even after confirming that all your documents are valid! Really depressing.
Could you also share your purpose of travelling, was your company sponsoring you to watch football, for sight seeing or for conference?

Company Letter of introduction.
Company letter of leave approval
Company Statement of account
Travel Insurance
Flight itinerary
Hotel booking/accomodation
Sponsor info
International Passport
Letter of Trip justification
Cover letter
Employment letter.
Online Application form.

Is the company a private firm? If yes, I can't see the company's CAC documents and tax clearance among the documents you listed above...

you don't need to book appointment with CampusFrance, go to either of their offices for interview; after which, you can proceed to the French Embassy or VFS to submit your application if possible that same day.

Can you share your documents submitted, so that the gurus in the forum can take a look at it, to see where the VO found some flaws

I have an A2, but I want to attain the B2 level the French way. I need it too for my study in Switzerland or France in subsequent years.
B2 in French that's got in Nigeria or Benin Republic is the same got in France. So B2 is standard.

Okay, but you can still get your B2 in Nigeria or Benin Republic after which, you can proceed for programme in either countries.

I'm actually going to learn French, not another course in French
I doubt if they will grant you visa to study French in France, they usually refer people who want to study French to go to other French speaking countries closer to them. For your case Benin Republic is close to Nigeria and you will be most likely referred there. My candid advice is this 'don't go and waste your visa application fee'.

If I may ask, why do you want to study French?

Thanks Tolani4real.
I intend applying for the visa by next month.
Below are documents I have;

Proposed building plan
Acct balance of over 2m
Pay slips
Vehicle papers if necessary*
Marriage cert
(Travel insurance, flight itinerary, hotel booking I am yet to get)

What else is needed and how do I book for an appointment with the embassy?

Thanks once again.
you don't have to book appointment with the embassy, when your documents are complete, you go there and submit.

First of, I will like to commend the saving habit of you and your dad. It’s very impressive if really what you stated is what you guys(sorry for includin ur dad in the term) earn. I know a lot of people that earn more but don’t have that savings and keep complaining daily about how Nigeria is this and that. You are obviously learning something great from your dad.

For the schooling, anyone can sponsor a student. In this case your dad is in perfect position as everything put together shows he will be able to sponsor you. You should add your own statement, trust me, beyond money, a lot of things are also considered when granting one visa. So both statement should be used. Your dad as sponsor and obviously what you have as supporting yourself too.

Finally, I want you to consider the cost of the Skool you intend to apply and personally evaluate your fathers balance and yours put together. Ie, what will be left, after taking your own Skool part, possibilities of saving as well as paying fees too. This help you to analyze your travel plans before even applying for visa.

Wish you well and hope you get the visa. Have visited France and would tell you it’s a nice country. Just try n learn the French faster and life will be smooth for you over there. Good luck.
One can really do a lot here in Nigeria when one's thrifty... Thanks for the nice words and for the prompt response.

Please lets leave all conversation open and transparent here.

You can apply but if i were you i will stick to one country for now. Make hotel reservation, add your salary account, employment letter and list of places you tend to visit in the country. You also need to draw out your budget, basically explaining how much the trip will cost you, don't budget more than 2months of your salary.
Please Justwise and other Nairalanders, I have a very disturbing question to ask you; I have been working with a federal establishment since 2011, although I got in with my SSCE ( WEAC) after which I further my education, I also just recently graduated with a BSc degree. Please I want to apply for a master's programme in France; should I use my payslip and bank statement or my Father's to apply for student visa in case I'm given admission... Knowing that my take home is about #30,000 and my Father's #145,000, should I use only my dad's payslip and bank statement since he will be sponsoring me or I should include mine to serve as my home tie to Nigeria? Please Justwise, tzetzefly and other Nairalanders I need your response.

You don't need to add those two lines i highlighted about communication with your wife.

I think priority service is paid per application, i don't think they consider a group application as one.

It’s not really a criteria to get your employment letter attested before you can apply for visa at France embassy. You can just submit it like that
Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by johnsonm2g: 7:25pm On Dec 04, 2018
Does it mean an employee in a Government establishment doesn't need his/her employment letter attested before applying for a French Visa?
Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by johnsonm2g: 7:22pm On Dec 04, 2018
Please, can anyone in the house help me out? I'm having issues getting my dad's employment letter attested by Benin Chamber of Commerce. On getting to their office I was told my dad's employment letter cannot be attested, reason being that his office is a Government owned establishment. I was told that it's only private coy that can be attested; only after being registered with CAC and also as a member of the chamber. Please I don't know how true this is.
