It is hard to give you current prices of these items because the prices change very often these days- at times up to thrice a week.
Where is your location to start with?

Why don't you approach one of the gas retailers around for the purpose of training. Once you train with them, you will be put through all you need to do.

You can make enquiries from gas plants, skid plants or retailers in your area.
It is better to use those gas stations within your community to reduce the transportation charge for home delivery.

This is the problem with Elegushi beach. I wonder the kind of marine spirits that are there, lurking around, looking for young people to devour. That is the last place I'll ever go to have fun. I've lost people to that beach. Even Last December, youths of my church went there to have fun but 2 boys died. Thank God I didn't go. How it happened is still a mystery. It is well.

The price of cooking gas has been on a steady rise for some weeks now and the situation appears to be getting worse.
The product is available at just one of the depots in Lagos, so they have been jerking up the price as it suits them.
Many investors are getting worried about this trend and rightly so.

I received credible information today that lpg vessels conveying gas to the other depots (Nipco, Ppmc, Forte oil) will berth and discharge by wednesday next week. So prices are expected to drop by next weekend.

At this point, I want to say a big thank you to all those that have done business with us so far so good.

May your businesses continue to flourish in Jesus Name.

My brother, don't be worried. Lpg vessels will discharge at other depots next week and the price will drop.
At the moment, the product can only be sourced at just one depot in lagos (namewithheld) so they are just jerking up the price the way they like.

Cost Estimate to start a retail outlet(excluding cost of renting a space)

1. 6 units of 50kg Cylinder - 6xN19, 000= N114, 000
2. 1 unit of Digital Scale - 1xN43, 000
3. Gas (50kgx6) at Gas Plant- N7, 500x6= N45, 000
4. Hose, filling heads (camping, standard, nido, utti& cut), rubber, adjustable spanner, set of spanners, screw driver, wrench, clips, needle etc - N20, 000
5. Cylinders, burners, regulators and hose for sale - N50, 000

Total - N272, 000

there is heaven,there is hell.....but church doctrines are not d requirement for making heaven. Salvation is d sure ticket 4 heaven. misinterpretation of d scripture is our major problem in Nigeria,we focus more on the external appearance(which doesn't really matter) than the internal(salvation). by God's Grace we shall all make it to heaven.

It is only those that have been saved by the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and remain holy till death or rapture that wilk make it to heaven.

Church doctrine or no church doctrine, the requirement to make it to heaven is holiness.

True christains are led by the spirit of GOD. Anyone that disobeys the spirit of GOD will not make it to heaven.

A very sad incident that probavly could have been averted.
It could be the case of fake cylinder. Or the incident could be due to overfiling of the cylinder.

Some refillers fill 6kg in 5kg designated cylinders. Typically, cylinders have space for vapor. This space for vapor is what will be taken up by liquified gas when the cylinder is overfilled. Lpg expands with increase in temperature.

When (gas) flows into the cylinder, the liquified gas settles at the lower section of the cylinder while vapor occupies the space above the liquified gas.

When temperature increases, the vapor pressure increases. If the cylinder is of inferior quality, it will explode in no time with sustained increase in temperature.

Indoor users should try to use their gas cylinders in ventilated spaces.
Avoid hot and closed cellers as much as possible.

Do not allow your cylinders to be filled beyond the stipulated capacity.

Buy only certified cylinders.

May GOD continue to protect us all.

I currently own a 500 by 200 plot of land at Obern and a 200 by 200 plot land at Sapele road in Benin City but confused as to how to develop them and what to build there.

You can consider setting up an LPG Station on your land if it meets the safety requirements.

It is a business you can never regret venturing into, if you get it right.
I urge you to conduct an independent research on the business.
If you are not impressed with the findings, don't contact me. By the way, I install gas systems.

Hell is real whether we like it or not.
I pray people claiming the place doesn't exist don't end up there. It will be too late by then.
Hell will definitely be hotter for sloppy christains that miss the rapture or die in sin.

Christains attending churches like Deeper Life, The Apostolic Faith, Gospel Faith, RCCG, MFM, CAC, and others, where sin is condemned and true repentance is regularly preached, will have themselves to blame if they go to hell.
They will be haunted by the truth they heard.

In a nutshell, hell is real and it is a place of eternal torment. Demons are the landlords of hell and do nothing but torment the lost souls trapped there.

It is my prayer that I make it to Heaven and everyone else reading this.

I would rather go to a church where I would hear the preaching of hell than attend a church where all I would hear is prosperity and breakthrough.
We are talking about eternity here. How many years do I want to spend on earth! We treat our eternal lives with kid gloves.

Do you mean the cost of installation or just cost of the tank?
You can purchase 2.5Tgas from any of the big plants
that have bobtails for supply.

I’m extremely happy with the level of interest this LPG thread has generated so far so good.

The response has been overwhelming and I’ve tried my best to deliver good service to clients.

What gives me special joy is the fact that a lot of young Nigerians are establishing LPG stations; hence creating means of livelihood for themselves and other Nigerians, and consequently reducing the unemployment rate in the country.

I’m particularly glad that the participation of foreign investors in the LPG Station/Plant business remains at a considerably low level. Most of the gas stations in the country are wholly owned by Nigerians.

This is good because there’s a lot of money to be made in the industry and I believe Nigerians should dominate the industry and be the ones smiling home with the money.

Now that you have established your gas station/plant, the next step is to put in place the requisite management and operational controls for the sustainability and growth of your investment.

Safety should be accorded utmost importance in your gas station/plant because of the flammable nature of LPG.

I’m giving some safety tips for current owners and future owners of gas stations/plants.

It is in your best interest to take these tips very seriously.

1. Your pressure vessel(tank) shouldn’t be filled above 85% volume
2.5 Ton tanks can be filled up to 95% if and only if:
a. You are sure of the strength and condition of your tank
b. The pressure of the LPG is not too high
c. You are sure of discharging at least 150kg of the LPG into gas canisters(cylinders) within 12 hours

2. Monitor your tank pressure by checking the pressure gauge at the top of the tank from time to time.
If your tank pressure exceeds 5 bar, cool the tank with water.
If you don’t have a water sprinkling pipe above your tank, pour cool water on the tank till the pressure drops to 5 bar. This mainly applies to tanks of 5 Tons and below.
Tanks of capacities above 5 tons are expected to have a water sprinkling pipe installed over the tank.

3. Ensure that your personnel understand that static electricity can ignite gas vapors, therefore they must discharge static before commencing the refilling of canisters(cylinders). It is not unusual for customers that who have cushion chairs in their vehicles to have built up static electricity, so they must be barred from getting close to the filling points where there will definitely be some release of vapor.

4. Scientists have confirmed that mobile phone signals can ignite gas vapors. It rarely happens, which is probably why so many people throw caution to the wind and make calls on filling gantries during the refilling of cylinders.
Since it has been proven that mobile phone signals can ignite gas vapors, it is expedient to prohibit the use of phones on the filling gantry in your gas station/plant.

5. In the event of any ignition or fire outbreak at the filling gantry, the automatic shut-off control should be activated.
But since only a handful of gas stations/plants in Nigeria have automatic shut-off systems, the first thing to do is to manually shut off the valve at the tank outlet to cut off the flow of gas from the tank to the pipe network. This takes precedence over the use of fire extinguishers(powder) and CO2. If liquid gas(liquefied gas) keeps coming from the tank, there is little fire extinguishers can do(that’s the truth).

6. Do not dispense LPG into cylinders(canisters) while your tank is being filled from a bobtail/LPG tanker. It is a dangerous practice.

7. Inspect the base of cylinders brought by your customers before filling. If the base is too rusty and the cylinder is too old. Do not fill it. If you must fill it, don’t fill it to its capacity.
For example, if a customer brings a very old 12.5kg cylinder with a rusty base, do not fill more than 8 kg into the cylinder. Old cylinders can explode if filled to capacity, especially if the pressure of the LPG is high.

8. Do not over fill cylinders. Many refillers(roadside gas retailers) and stations overfill cylinders for extra gain. It is not a good practice. If the customer keeps the cylinder where there is a heat source, the liquid gas will expand and the vapor pressure will increase, which will result in leakage via the cylinder’s valve.
This can result in disaster for the client, if there is any source of ignition around.

That will be all for now. As soon as I have more time, I will give out some operational tips that will be of immense benefits to new and existing gas station/plant owners.

On a final note, I want to enjoin gas station/plant owners to dispense accurately to their customers.
Please do not under dispense. GOD is watching you.
Believe me, it’s the blessing of GOD that can give you success without adding sorrow.

THE PLEASURES OF THE FLESH IS NOT AS PLEASURABLE AS THAT OF THE SPIRIT. GODLINESS IS PROFITABLE UNTO ALL THINGS. THE LIFE OF THE SPIRIT IS THE LIFE OF THE WORD, THE LIFE OF THE WORD IS THE LIFE OF FAITH AND THE SMALLEST FAITH CAN MOVE THE BIGGEST MOUNTAIN-SIZED CHALLENGE. PRAYERS AND FASTING AS A LIFE STYLE IS A PLUS, STUDYING, APPLYING AND THINKING THE WORD REGULARLY WILL BOOST YOUR ACCESS TO THIS RHELM. TO BE CARNALLY MINDED IS DEATH, BUT TO BE SPIRITUALLY MINDED IS LIFE AND PEACE.

The truth is that the flesh must be subdued. The flesh is actually our enemy as christains.

Why is it that sleep always likes to have its way when you are praying at night?
But when it's time to watch 24, you will stay awake till 4 A.M.

Why is it easy to watch two consecutive premier matches for a total of 180 minutes while it is hard to pray fervently for just 10 minutes?

The flesh is an enemy a christain must conquer.
