The Range-Rover Velar has been lunched and like we all expected, it still rocked the traditional design of it's predecessors but really stands out in no way disappoints in the line of the range-rover succession. it is indeed a vehicle like no other. design Simplicity that exudes confidence and individuality. The Range Rover Velar leads the way in progressive design. Clean, elegant and distinctive, the vehicle has a striking, contemporary presence. Wherever you go in the Range Rover Velar, eyes will follow. The Velar shares its 2874mm wheelbase and aluminium architecture with the F-Pace, alongside which it will be built at the Solihull plant of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). Unlike the F-Pace, the Velar is all-wheel drive only and comes with Land Rover’s full suite of off-road technology, including Terrain Response 2. Wade depth is 650mm. The Velar is also a touch longer than the F-Pace, at 4.8m. Engine Buyers will be able to choose from six engines, each driving through an eight-speed automatic gearbox. There’s a base 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium diesel unit in 178bhp and 237bhp guises. The entry-level petrol engine is a new 2.0-litre Ingenium unit with 247bhp. A more potent 296bhp version of this engine will follow by the end of this year. The V6 range-toppers are 296bhp diesel and 375bhp petrol engines. The petrol V6 is supercharged — the only non-turbo engine in the range — and will power the Velar from zero to 60mph in 5.3sec. At the other end of the scale, the entry-level diesel is the most efficient, with CO2 emissions of 142g/km. Interior Velar interior includes two 10in touchscreens The key feature of the Velar’s interior is a new Touch Pro Duo infotainment system with two 10in touchscreens, described as “secret till lit”. Between them, these configurable displays reduce switchgear to an absolute minimum, while the lower part of the centre console ahead of the gear and Terrain Response selectors is turned into a screen itself. The car’s chief engineer, Kevin Stride, said the interior had been designed around these screens. The brief was to get rid of as much switchgear as possible while still making it usable and engaging. Anas09 i hope i have cleared it out for you that your awareness of being unclad or not has nothing to do with your consciousness as a human but merely a psychological response to the ethical expectations of your OWN society and this varies from soceity to society. Why won't I just see a solid Dude on the way, grap him and get it done right there by the road? Why do I need to lock up my door, before I can get naked and do things? Am sure i have fully answered this. . . Every society determines it's tenets and norms. . . Your behavioural ethics are subjects of the resulting societal ethic instigated by any society you find yourself in. E.G: In this society being Homosexual is a crime and attracts 14years jail term. But in America it is just another sexual orientation and you can get married and be happy.. You see? Moral expectations as regards varying societies are as a result of the society and this ethic is not an innate quality but a subjective quality as regard varying societal norms. How did shame and embarrassment get into man's conciousness?LOL... The shame comes from the fact that the society you are into chastises it. It is not imbedded in human consciousness as you argued. If you were born right now in Swaziland you would have been doing this; Dancing naked with tall reeds during their maiden reed dances. Am sure i have shown you that being unclad or not is not an innate human quality, the societal moral weight on clothes or unclothedness is not intertwined in human consciousness but is as a result of the individuals societal tenets. Do not judge human behaviour from the stand point of your own society.. this i have just shown to be wrong. Not being well for a while so my nairaland activities lessened of late, just needed to clear these things out because you called me... Have a good one... How come we look at people who dress to expose their private parts as inappropriate? When did that conciousness get to man?[b] Like i asserted above it is as a result of societal ethical expectations. . . the Bush men of the kalahari desert walk about unclad, it is neither seen as inappropriate by them or wrong. In fact wearing clothes is more inappropriate. . . how come this society doesn't find this inappropriate as you dub it? Please societal ethics as regard clothing differs from society to society and each society determines what it finds appropriate or not. Do not make absolute assertions as regards humanity only from your own societal stand point.. .Your mindset of being clothed or ideology that being naked outside is wrong is not a human quality, rather it is as a result of your society.. Humans being unclad is not a bad thing, but the ethical expectations as regard that action differs from society to society... Societal ethics is the construct of a society not an innate quality, societal ethics stems from the need for mutual societal interactions by members of a society. Humans are one of the only animals known the utilize tools in solving problems, Chimpanzees use tools too but not like humans. Clothing first and for most in humans is an external adaptive feature for temperature regulation, an animal with fur would grow thick furs when faced with extremely cold temperatures. Aaaaaaah this one reminds me of my ex girl friend rose  the Rosette nebula just like my ex girl friend is a multi coloured beauty. . Don't blame me, she just deh bleach like cameleon The Rosette is 5,000light years away from us which is equivalent to the amount of distance between i and my dear rose This sweetheart is a star formation region and a little bit visible to the naked eyes from here though too blur . . llaykorn:You know most people mistake atheist to mean anti-anything religion or anti-theism. The book is a well written one with a lot of historical wealth though i have it more than 2years now. . I have no problem with the writers claims on God and creator stuff as long as it's no detriment to the knowledge the book holds. . i love the part about greek culture more...i am not bigoted so i have no problem with such books...it may interest you that i have quran, bible, hindu works, books on greek gods, igbo mythology, gnostic gospels and many other religious texts on my e-book collections Anyway get on with it, you might get more before you finish this one.. |

Pillars of creation nebula, deep in the Eagle nebula are standing at 4,000 light years tall.(and we even thought we have tall buildings here  This nebula is called Pillars of creation because activities on going within it are on the process of forming new stars to add to our cosmos. . Can't wait to rub the powders of the new born babies..

The Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, says the presidential candidate of the APC, Muhammadu Buhari, lacks integrity for claiming to be a poor man despite having contested the presidency four times. Mimiko describeed President Goodluck Jonathan as a progressive, adding that the All Progressives Congress is a propaganda party built on lies. Mimiko said this while inaugurating a primary school as part of activities commemorating his 6th anniversary as the governor of the state on Friday in Akure. He said, “The mega school concept of our government is about re-engineering education in the state with emphasis on Information and Communications Technology. It is an initiative which is about polity, equity and real progressivism, which is beyond the suffocating propaganda being dished out by agents of nebulous change in the country. “The same progressivism drive is behind the decision of President Jonathan’s establishment of Almajiri schools in the North. What is being experienced in the state is the real change and just like what President Jonathan is doing at the federal level. “This is different from those who lack integrity but (are) calling for change which they can’t give. You have contested presidential election four times and you call yourself a poor man; what kind of lie is that? Is that what will bring change?” He said the country would do better under President Jonathan because he had demonstrated that he meant well for the country “unlike those who are after power to shore up their investment base.” |
