I don't think teachers should be totally blamed Sha.. you can take a horse to the river but can't force it to drink.. there's an extent to which a teacher can help..
Even in my time, my teachers were just there too.. public school palava but I still did well,it's personal. When you know what you want you motivate yourself, many books here and there to read. My sister attends the same school and wrote this concluded jamb and did very well few marks to 300 sef.. the point is the child's factor matters too. We all went to public schools and did well. I've had friends in expensive schools with extra lessons and all who didn't do as well. I've also been a teacher briefly before during the strike, some children are just... I don't know how to describe them..like they have no interest in studies and see you as a devil trying to make them realize..they prefer other things like money, social media etc it's well sha

Nairaland has helped me spend less time on other data consuming sites honestly, like insta, TikTok, Fb and the like. Apart from checking updates on watsap and watching videos on YouTube and stuff.. when I'm free or bored, I just run down here, excited to see what new thing I am going to read about. I've learnt a lot here too in so many ways.
Though I don't comment a lot, I enjoy reading people's comments here, it gives me an insight into how different people reason without having to actually interact with a lot of people. As a student too, it has saved me money cos I don't need data to come here and still have a great time. In short, I so so love here regardless of the annoying banter though. I feel like I'm part of one big, invisible, online family ..
PS I recognize almost all the popular monikers and their attitudes and have put a face in my head for each of them already. Lol
