Politics / Give Back A Portion 2022: You Don't Need To Be Elected To Touch Lives- BSO by Jollylolly(f): 10:46am On Dec 17, 2022
Give Back A Portion 2022; To God ALONE BE ALL The Glory Part 2

You don't need to be elected to touch lives

To give little is better than not giving at all

Last week Monday & Tuesday (5th&6th Dec,2022), I embarked on my annual program themed "Give Back A Portion". A program I started since 2019 when I got appointed as an aide to the speaker, house of representatives, Rt hon Femi Gbajabiamila. A position I got through the recommendation of Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo also known as BTO( house of Rep Member, Akoko Northeast/Northwest & Chairman, House Committee on NDDC) . my intention when I got to Abuja in 2019 was to make maximum use of the office to impact my people back home ( My Place of work & My constituency) regardless of the take home and to the glory of God, we have been able to achieve that, between September 2019 and December 2022, we have been able to facilitate 4 employments opportunities for young people well known to everyone, gave cash grants to women, gave different food items to the elderly and women, gave different household items , and gave mega items like motorcycle to ( A former Ward Chairman) , an Honda Car to ( One of the Core BTO loyalists, A great BTO Ambassador to celebrate BTO's birthday in May this year) And a 200-seater capacity faculty library to ( my alma mater , Adeyemi University of Education, Ondo) ALL these are given to people that will never be able to pay me back. Last week, we gave out 1 thermocool chest Freezer to (a former PDP Woman Leader ), 2 smart phones to two women, one from Igbara Oke and one from Ijare (who are two former SDP Women leaders) 2 standing fans to (two APC Unit grassroots Chairmen/Cordinator) , 450 Food packs that contained rice, beans, garri, spaghetti, semo, maggi, salt and money were shared and 100 packs of cooked food given to street beggars.

The highlights of the 2022 give back a portion for me was our ability to feed over a 100 beggars on the streets with food, drinks and stipends. The smiles on their faces was enough validation that we are blessed to be a blessing. These pictures are shared today to inspire someone to replicate same to others.

For us, you don't need to be elected to touch lives and you don't need to earn much to give,

To give little is better than not giving at all.
Be a blessing
Be a reason someone smiles every day
Be an answered prayers
Be kind , Be generous
*Give your little, it does matter to those who have nothing!*

See you in 2023 by God's Grace, Untill then, keep giving!

Have a great weekend ahead!

Give Back A Portion 2022; Bosede Osamaye to Commission 500 Capacity in Alma Mata, Appreciates Speaker of the House of Rep, Femi Gbajabiamiala, Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO),MHR Akoko Northeast/Northwest & Chairman, House Committee on NDDC

BTO; A Capacity & Willing Leader

Give Back A Portion 2022
(Targets 500 Grassroots voters)

As part of our annual empowerment program tagged "Give Back A Portion" which started in 2020 after I got back from an all expenses paid trip to New York in United States sponsored by Rt hon Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker, House of Representatives, the program at inception saw thousands benefit cash gifts, empowerment materials and also motorcycle, at the Grassroots last year.

Early this year, we donated a car to one of our BTO Ambassadors in Akoko and started the building of a 200-seater capacity faculty library building at Adeyemi college of Education, Ondo, my alma mater and an institution I worked as a lecturer before delving into the forays of politics to be commissioned in February 2023 by God's Grace .

On Monday and Tuesday, 5th&6th December 2022, My Team and I will be directly touching the lives of 500 voters in our LGAs through our annual empowerment program.

The beautiful thing in life is when people smile because of you!

I'm forever indebted to my Leader & benefactor, kindness personified and generosity master, A man who is building the next generation of leaders, Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO),MHR Akoko Northeast/Northwest & Chairman, House Committee on NDDC, A builder of men without whom I won't be where I am today, A great man whose benevolence can only be paid back by passing the baton of kindness forward.

I'm equally thankful to the FGN004; Rt hon Femi Gbajabiamila, The Speaker House of Representatives, A leader of leaders , the leader of my leader, the kind hearted, masses-friendly speaker, and the Best Speaker in the history of Nigeria, A speaker whose commitment to the cause of Nigerian Women is legendary and worthy of emulation.

And also to the Ebullient APC National Women Leader, Dr Betta Edu, who I recently work with as Special Adviser, Political ( I've watched and learn closely her care and generosity for women. Last week , over fifty APC Women were empowered with a mandate to go back to the Grassroots and take care of their followers.

Having worked closely with this Amazon for almost six months, I can categorically testify that APC is blessed to have her as National woman leader.

To cap it all, I've been blessed by these three great people and the least we can do is to pay it forward by ensuring their kindness gets replicated at our immediate environment at the Grassroots.

5th & 6th December, 2022 is a date!
500 Voters;the target!!
APC is the Party !!!
TinubuShettima all the way!!!!

I am a product of help and I will do everything I can to pay back in every way I can .

Nigerians have praised the President, of Progressive Young Women’s Forum, Seun Osamaye for her hit song for the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign.

They also praised Osamaye for her doggedness, hard-work, tenacity, and for always working for the prosperity, development and victory of the party.

The APC women had on Thursday flagged off their presidential campaign for the party’s candidates Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, with a call for women to drive the party to victory in 2023.

At the rally in Ilorin, Kwara state, Osamaye’s song was evidently well received by members of the party.

The song themed, “APC women, Are you ready” was performed on stage by the composer, Osamaye with hundreds of attendees singing and dancing along with her.

With the hashtag #AreyouReadyBySeunOsamaye, a Twitter user, @Darpor wrote, “Monday motivation! @Seunosamaye has taken this anthem from studio to campaign grounds, to households and to offices.”

Similarly, @AdejohSamuelSu1 narrated how the composer lit up the Kwara metropolitan square with her performance. “It was a great day and time as APC women were in awe, when the song was played and performed live on stage by our noble leader @Seunosamaye. It is a song affirming Nigeria’s renewed hope come 2023”

@Ekitiketekan1 wrote that her song could be a national anthem, “Seun Osamaye has outdone herself. Someone send me this video. #AreyouReadyBySeunOsamaye has become the official song of APC and the face of their campaign, this is the song is from my own personal person.”

For @AliyaRedington, the PYWF President has shown unrelenting commitment to prosperity of the APC and to breaking boundaries. “Seun Osamaye has proven to be very useful to the development, prosperity and progress of this nation and to the ruling party, APC. A silent achiever who is breaking boundaries.”

Another user, @Austine tweeted that, “APC women were extremely jubilating and dancing to the song, ‘Are You Ready’ Video By Seun Osamaye that was performed live on stage as APC Women campaign flag off in Kwara state.”

In a similar tweet, @CeceliaOkpe2 said, “Are You Ready song by talented woman, Seun Osamaye. A song accepted and joyfully sang at APC women campaign flag off in Kwara.”

Jeneral Janet, @Jeneral_JEY narrated how Seun Osamaye’s song defines victory and how the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu prayed for her. “The song clearly defines #RenewedHopeAgenda2023. @officialABAT listened to the lyrics, he commended and prayed for @Seunosamaye for singing his mind in a more pleasant way that Nigerians can relate. We are sure of victory because we are ready.”

Another Twitter user, @Vincent_dBasic stated that, “For the first time in Nigeria a woman hold the record of releasing a campaign song for a major party @Seunosamaye.”

Politics / Muslim-muslim: Osinbajo Turned Down APC Campaign Council Role by Jollylolly(f): 11:04am On Sep 24, 2022
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo refused to be included in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council as he continued to protest against the Muslim-Muslim ticket.

Nigerians have reacted to the presidential list on social media. Otunba @ManLikeIcey says the VP turned down the offer to be on the APC Presidential Campaign Council, "I said it earlier that Professor Yemi Osinbajo was offered a substantial role in Tinubu's campaign council but he rejected it. As time goes we shall know who has credible information.

Similarly, Tomide Akinribido, a 2023 candidate for Ondo State House of Assembly, on Saturday explained that the Vice President was not excluded as some people have claimed.

He said, "I said it earlier that Professor Yemi Osinbajo was offered a substantial role in Tinubu's campaign council but he rejected it.

Others also stated that Osinbajo reportedly rejected his inclusion in the campaign team stating that he cannot support a Muslim-Muslim ticket.

Bright Okuta said, "You shouldn't be surprised Osinbajo is not on the APC 2023 presidential campaign council list. Osinbajo is obviously against Muslim-Muslim ticket. It will be insulting to his probity and piety."

Prince Moh Fahad wrote, "There are many things ongoing behind the scenes that many people don't know, choose what you like but one thing that certainly clear is that Osinbajo was offered a substantial role in BAT/Shettima campaign council but he rejected it, same way he did in 2014. He's a pastor for God's sake."

STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT

WE ALL NEED TO ACT FAST ON ECONOMY, ASUU STRIKE, OSINBAJO TELLS VISITING APC GOVERNORS

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, received APC Governors today in his office at the Presidential Villa on a felicitation visit as he recovers from the surgery done last month.

While welcoming the Governors, Prof. Osinbajo expressed his appreciation for the visit and the good wishes.

The VP also commended the expertise of Nigerian doctors, and the availability of cutting edge medical facilities existing in the country. But he regretted that doctors are restrained by regulations to advertise and as a result many people are unawares of the level of quality medical services available locally.

During the brief interaction that followed at the meeting, important national issues were also raised especially regarding the economy and the ASUU strike.

The Vice President and the Governors then agreed to engage these and other pressing issues further with a view to bringing urgent resolution for the benefit of the Nigerian people.

According to the Vice President "we all need to work together on this critical issues. We need to think through things, and we need to do it fast."

Travel / Travelstart, Qatar Airways Collude To Scam Nigeria Passengers by Jollylolly(f): 8:22pm On Aug 27, 2022
Online travel booking company, Travelstart, has been accused of defrauding passengers who book flight on their website.

According to a passenger who booked a flight via Travelstart, the booking conned them by refusing to reschedule a flight that was cancelled by Qatar Airways.

The passenger said that he had booked a return ticket from Nigeria to Canada but about two weeks after he arrived in Canada, Qatar Airways sent a mail informing him of changes to the return flight.

The passenger with booking reference V7M8PB said that many Nigerians are forced to use Travelstart because airlines demand that they pay for tickets in dollars.

“Qatar Airways did not reschedule the flight, they just announced that changes had been made to our flight and that we should contact our local agent to reschedule or seek refund.”

The email sent by Qatar Airways which was sited by Chronicle NG read, “Dear valued customer, We are reaching out to inform you that unfortunately, your booking has been changed due to operational reasons and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Qatar 2022: Beckham urged to speak out about human rights abuse
“Please note that this is a no reply message. On receipt of this notification, please contact your travel agent to amend your booking or arrange for a refund*.

“To remain updated with any changes to your travel plans, please download our mobile app or simply scan the below QR code.

“We sincerely appreciate your understanding on this matter,” Qatar Airways said.

On contacting Travelstart, the booking company said that it could not reschedule the flight or refund.

The passenger said that a visit to the Travelstart office in Ikeja, Lagos did not help matters either but an email was eventually sent on 23 August, 2022.

It reads, “Dear Guest, We have checked your booking and your partially used ticket has no refund value after deducting the cost of the one-way ticket , refund penalty, non-refundable taxes, and our admin fee.

“Should you need further assistance/clarification, do not hesitate to contact us.”

According to the passenger, “A follow up email asking Travelstart to open the ticket was not replied. A visit to the Ikeja office of Travelstart did not help matters.”

“All efforts to get Qatar Airways to act also proved abortive”

The passenger said the matter will now be reported to the Federal Competition & Consumer Protection Commission.

“I hope that Mr Tunde Irukera and his team will take urgent steps to curb the fleecing of Nigerians by Travelstart,” the passenger said.

Politics / I Can Drive From Abuja To Kaduna Without Security, Says Festus Keyamo by Jollylolly(f): 4:43pm On Aug 23, 2022
Festus Keyamo, minister of state for labour and employment, says he can drive from Abuja to Kaduna without security escort.

Keyamo said this on Tuesday in a pre-recorded interview aired on Channels TV.

The about 155km Kaduna-Abuja highway is one of the feared roads and has witnessed several attacks by bandits who block the road to kill and abduct passengers.

On March 28, a train on its way from Abuja was attacked by bandits in Kaduna state. Several persons were killed while many were abducted during the attack.

But Keyamo, who also doubles as the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign council spokesperson, when asked questions on the state of security in Nigeria, said he can comfortably drive on the road without security aides.

“Some people do, I can do it. I can do it,” Keyamo muttered repeatedly.

“I saw headlines last week saying that I said insecurity has been brought to an all-time low by Buhari. I didn’t say so. It’s still the season of wrong headline. I said what we met on the ground, Boko Haram in the north-east. I was specific and so they quoted me generally to say Boko Haram and insecurity throughout the whole country. I only said Boko Haram in the north-east, it has not been totally wiped out, but we have reduced this significantly.

“All the roads that lead to Chibok and Damboa in Borno, they are now passable.”

“The issue of the farmer-herder crisis came to a height between 2017 and 2020. The World Terrorism Index said so. Not me. The body also said the attacks reduced so much in 2021. And further reduced again now in 2022. So, it’s a downward spiral in terms of farmer-herder crisis.

“In terms of banditary and kidnapping, they are on the rise in the north-west and some parts of the middlebelt. I have admitted that.”
