The issue in Ekiti is political.

I'm surprised no one on the first page commented on the fact that Alaafin wrote his name before Oonirisa.

Ile Oodua should react appropriately to this and the unbridled arrogance of Alaafin towards Arole Oodua. This was why Ooni Sijuwade used everything at his disposal to silence Adeyemi while he was alive and he succeeded at that.

Someone close to Ooni Ogunwusi needs to tell him to be careful with this 'peace' thing he's doing with Alaafin. Alaafin will capitalize on his peaceful nature to continue parading himself as first in Yoruba land.

Where was Alaafin while Sijuwade reigned?

I tell you. He is actually going against what he preached in that letter.

This letter is okay but he(Alaafin) should know better that the arrangement is wrong.
Number 2 should go to 1 and number 1 to 2

I have noticed how life has become so cheap and of little value in Nigeria,this week has been full of negative events.
There has to be conscious reawakening of the mindset of our people,we need to understand how important it is for people to find closure when they've lost someone,just like the accident on the 28th of June.

When I heard the causality figure announced by the authorities,I was taken aback at how quick they were to the figure been banded.

Now,from eyewitness account,the entire event happened within 30second to about 1 min from the time of tanker's failed break and the eventual explosion.

With the sheer numbers of cars that got burnt, I think the Govt was in haste to play down the seriousness of the event,by doing that they've allowed Nigerians moved back to their normal activities,which I see as selfish and wicked,because an event like this will happen again.

My questions are

why wasn't a forensic done,by collecting samples from the burnt cars to ascertain if there were human remains in those cars.

why weren't the VIN of the cars gotten to get in contact with the owners or their families for compensation and closure.

If the above procedures were taken we would have been able to know how serious this event was,not that the lives of 9 people don't matter but that others who are not accounted for,their families can find closure.

This could have happened to anybody,and nobody deserves to die that way,successive Govt negligence has cost the lives of these people.

Nigerians need to demand more from the Govt we voted in cause we deserve better.

May the souls of the departed find peace.Amen.

This happened way back in 2005 but I think it still worths sharing, anyway.

So sister finished from Unilorin and was posted to Gombe for her mandatory National Youth Service. Camping was momentous and equally awesome. Soon, she finished camping, and luckily for her, she was posted to NNPC, Gombe, for her PPA. In no time, she was at NNPC, Gombe, together with other corp members posted to the PPA (a place she never imagined even in her widest imagination). She was posted there anyway and all was just beautiful. But getting to the PPA, she experienced the greatest nepotism and favouritism of her life. Seriously, Nigeria don become somthing else e don tey. They asked them to submit their documents along with letter from the WHO IS WHOs. The rest submitted their documents together with letters from dignitaries. She could not produce any letter and it was then that it dawned on her that everything was ARRANGEE. They had made mistake to send her along with the SPECIAL ONES because they already had the exact number of corp members they needed. They told her she was a daughter of nobody and that there was no place for her at NNPC. She was so embittered and had no choice than to leave. Has she made into the city of Gombe heading to no where in particular, lo and behold, she walked into the state NYSC cordinator's wife. They had met during camping and as an extrovert that she is, she had related with the coordinator's family. The woman wondered why she wandered around and asked her what had happened. She narrated her ordeal and then, the tuzzle began. She informed the Coordinator, her husband, ASAP, and he promptly threatened to withdraw all corp members at NNPC, Gombe, if they failed to absorb her. They retorted that they already got the maximum number of corp members they needed. The Coodinator stood on his words so they agreed to conduct exam for the corp members to screen out one person. The exam was conduct and she excellently passed. Having no other justifiable means to get her out, they absorbed her but scorned her for months before they finally resigned to fate.

I believe this is just a single out of many cases of this type. Seriously, systems in Nigeria have become so rotten from time immemorial. Please let this get to the from page; it might be what someone somewhere is going through right now.

i had a failed transaction since december 24. but i decided to PH 30% of the failed amount yesterday as adviced by a participant. immediately i PHed, i was matched to pay and i did so. in less than 1 hour, all the failed transaction and the new PH i did was matched for me to recieve payment. THYIS IS THE TRUTH. give it a try. stop waiting for automatic rematching cos that was what i did since december last year

Please we can still live with the cash we haven't gotten but if u mislead us to ph 30% and we don't get to gh at the end it won't be a good thing cos we are suppose to have each others back and not mislead ourselves

Don't bother, thought so too. After two weeks without being matched for my GH i decided to try the 30% stuff meaning I went on to PH 30% of my GH, they matched me to pay without attending to my GH and when i didnt pay my account was suspended and btw the support is not responding to issues.

Support not responding is a big issue at least if they can assure us that after paying the 30% there won't be problem we will know....oga oo
