Completed on Friday, I don collect Key.

The guidance's received from this thread has been immeasurable. Started looking at properties last year April, we werent ready then, was just browsing to see what was available.

Late January we saw this property and decided to take the plunge, reserved in February and have been taking baby steps since as we werent in a hurry to complete, wanted completion to coincide with end of school term. Developers no gree for our pace.lol. We fixed with Barclays for 5 years at 4.55%, 10% deposit and 3/2-year residence in UK. Just before completion we checked if the rate had gone down but naaa, it was up to 4.83 or thereabout.

Its still surreal to me.

Thanks to everyone who has replied so far, one more question please. I didn't have to visit the UKVI centre for my biometrics when I renewed my visa last year and a couple of people I know as well used same app this year and recently as well.

However, for the kids there was no option of using online biometrics app, is this the norm? Do kids have to travel for visa biometrics within the UK?

I think children who were under 6 years of age as at the last time they applied for a visa need to go for biometrics. I'm having same issue, my 8year old was able to use the app while my 6 years old has to go to the center because she wasn't yet 6 the last time she applied and didn't have her fingerprints captured.

If he hasn't done biometrics, he can write a letter addressing the error and upload alongside his other documents.
I think the amount paid is also stated on the CAS.

Good morning my people. A friend of mine discovered a few errors on his visa application form after having paid the visa application fee + IHS fee. Please what options does he have?
The error has to do with how much he has paid so far, instead of £7000 he put £4000.

The MAs GWF and CAS numbers were not included in the partner's application and we almost cancelled the application but we were adviced to write a letter stating the error and the numbers which was uploaded along with other documents.

Hello please, those people that was saying I should wait, over to you please. My biometric as MA and two Dependants done on 27th July while that of other two Dependants done on 29th July. All have exceeded processing time. Paid mail sent and I received response that decision had been made on the applications. A follow up paid call made and was told that application of one of the Dependant is still open. I'm yet to receive collection mail and I don't know what else to do. Kindly help out urgently I'm more troubled.

A friend that went there yesterday wasn't able to walk-in with his wife. He wasn't attended to.
According to him, they now take only 100 walk-in per day.

This is wrong. The day of visa application is the day you pay for IHS and visa.
If you download the visa application, the date and time of application is the date and time payment was made.

For me, the date of VISA application is the day you've been to TLS and finished with them, because that is when the VISA processing actually starts. Not after the IHS/VISA fee payments.

If you did self service, you take your passport, a photocopy of your passport data page, checklist, printed first page of your appointment mail.

The normal 3 weeks processing time for visa, does it start counting from when you submit visa application or when you go for appointment?

I'm not sure if there's a direct bus from Costain to Ikeja. If there isn't, you can take a bus to Ojuelegba then to Ikeja and alight at Abule Onigbagbo bus stop. The building is just by the bus stop.

Try picking a far date like August ending. After you have successfully booked the appointment, go to my appointment, click on manage appointment and reschedule to a closer date. Some dates in July are still available. Note that you can only reschedule using this option twice.

UBA was recommend and that one is now a waste of time. Same as AccessBank.

From the requirements I saw at Alausa center, you can use your payment receipt and application form if your passport isn't ready. This is compulsory for the mother but the father's NIN can be used in place of the passport.

I did mine at NIMC office, Alausa. You will need an affidavit, pay close to 1k for the correction(#500 to NIMC + charges), write a letter(format available there), fill some forms also do capturing again. I was told to come back after 6 weeks but it wasn't ready by then.
It took about 4 months. I don't know if they have improved on that.
