Everything that exists came into being through the word of God. All the things to come will also come by God's word. Therefore, irrespective of who you are, your religion, belief, orientation, personality; the word of God is settled in Heaven.

It is the word of God that defines your past, present and future. It is made available to all men to lead, guide and show the right way. Hence, it will always be available to be a lamp in every step you take on the pathway of destiny. When you allow the lamp to glow it illuminates your path and makes your journey much more promising.

If the destiny of a man will not fail and his blessedness on the pathway of destiny will not be a mirage; he must take every step of his life according to the word of God. Presently, in the light of the word of God you can evaluate your life to know if you truly belong to God, walking on the right path of life, if you are fulfilled and if you will make eternity with God.

Walking in the light of God's word is what makes you a true child of God. All men who lived to fulfill their destinies have one thing in common; they all followed God as He led them through His word. Irrespective of what you want to be in life allow the Lord through His word to teach you to pattern your way to the way of success.

However, you are required to take your chances at various times when the door of opportunity is opened to you. Identifying various time of opportunity is principal to what you will be in life.

We cannot blame God for every misused opportunity. In a bid to make us fulfill our purpose in life; He will present His word to be a lamp to our feet and light to our path through God's salvation. He will also make opportunities like becoming educated (formal or informal), self or career development, building good relationship with men that can serve as doors to high placement in life and allowance to make use of your talent available.

Similarly, grace will also be available for you to get the best suitor for your life and the opportunity to love your spouse to build a lasting marital relationship. Therefore, don't hesitate to take your chances with respect to the grace made available for you.

Success most of the time is not the function of labour but of favour. What you get from life does not depend on how much you can struggle or labour but how much you are prepared to take your chances when grace is made available for you in any aspect of life.

Nevertheless, it is not good to subject various critical aspect of your life to chance. Subjecting your career, financial, social, marital, eternal and academic destiny to chance may not favour you. You will always be required to make deliberate choice on how to utilize the grace made available in the direction of God's will for your life if you must be fulfilled in life.

Irrespective of the present situation of your life the fact still remains that God is ever gracious to all mankind. He knows you by name and has not forgotten you. However, He will never force His blessing on you. The time of your glorification will surely come. When it comes; it is expected of you to take your chances.

Chance will never favour a man who fails to prepare ahead of life due to the fact that nothing good comes in life without a price. Therefore, it is not about struggling but by being sensitive to various times and the required price expected of you to pay as you advance in your career, financial, social, marital, eternal and academic destinies.

Life is characterised by uncertainties. As you step into any domain there are some part of life which will become very clear to you as you move on. Most times you are not meant to see the whole picture of everything you are about to experience. Therefore, it is required of you not to depend on the arm of the flesh but to live only by faith as you proceed in life.

When the children of Israel were told about the promised land they were not told about both the red sea and wilderness experience. Those who chose to believe God and refused to turn back were able to make it to the land of promise while others didn't.

In John 2, at the wedding in cana, the wine they prepared got exhausted. They presented the case to the Lord and He sent His words to them. The best wine was presented to them as a result of their faith in the word.

You will not but come to various point in life where you will be confronted by your weakness (areas of incapacitation). In this, you must not fail to acknowledge your weakness before the Lord even as you submit to Him in total obedience to do what He requires from you in His word.

The only shield against various uncertainty of life in your marriage, academics, ministry, career and other aspects of life is faith in the word of God.

Also, it is not enough for you to perceive the promises of God over your life; it is required of you to walk in the direction of bringing it to pass. You have the responsibility to pay the price of whatever you wish to be in life.

The word of the Lord said: "You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men." (1 Corinthians 7:23). If you have been saved; the salvation of your soul is actually possible because the price has been paid.

When situation of life takes you through some godly path that you will naturally not want to go in every bid to have a feat in life do not hesitate to submit yourself to paying the required price involved.

Thank God for your journey so far on earth. The Question coming to you at this very point in time is: How long will your journey be? And when will you return? Despite the fact that you have no answer to the above questions the fact still remains that you have a set time known to God. Therefore, as you advance in age, live with great expectation and understanding of your end in view. Serve the Lord now that you have the grace to do so; for the night is coming when no one can work.

Several doors in life are closed as a result of the fall of man. However, the Lord has declared an open door for all his children (Rev 3:. Therefore, you need to take the responsibility of taking your possession in every aspect of life. The Lord is so gracious by crowning the effort of a man with success. There is a limit to which any friend can go with you. The only true friend you have is the One who actually promised not to leave nor forsake you. There is no friend like Jesus to you.

The friends of this world due to various limitations we all have as humans tend to turn back when the going gets rough. This happened to the disciples of Jesus when He was about to be crucified. They all ran away and denied ever knowing Him. The Lord uses these happenings to show us the real nature of man and to justify why He did not commit Himself to man (John 2:24).

Don't invest your entire life on what will not help you to make eternity with God. Don't allow anything to come between you and your Saviour. Be wise! The best of the friends of a man will only pay him the last respect at his death and turn away.

However, be ever mindful of a friend who remains a friend when other friendship cease and fail. A friend when life's short race is over. Who will meet you on heaven shore and when home at last; Jesus Christ our Lord!

You are not in friendship with Him until you represent Him accurately in His attributes among men. You are created to be the Jesus that is needed to meet the needs of men in your immediate contact.

You were designed to worship God-and if you fail to worship Him, you will create other things (idols) to give your life to. You are free to choose what you surrender to, but you are not free from the consequences of that choice.

If God is going to do his deepest work in you, it will begin with this. So give it all to God: your past regrets, your present problems, your future ambitions, your fears, dreams, weaknesses, habits, hurts, and hang-ups.

Put Jesus Christ in the driver's seat of your life and take your hands off the steering wheel. Don't be afraid; nothing under His control can ever be out of control.

Evil desire does not work out the righteousness of God but rather leads to destruction.

As humans, due to various needs of life, we cannot but have various heart desires. In fact, life has proven over the time that most men die with atleast a desire in their heart.

Having a desire is not an issue; it is normal. However, you must not give room to any desire that is contrary to God's will.

Many men in a bid to fulfill their selfish desire to amass wealth; take advantage of innocent souls, deprive them of the food meant for them and dupe them. Sometimes, they appear as helpers but having an ulterior motive. You must not do that as a child of God; the Lord will not take it lightly with evil doers .

"Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart." (Psalms 37:4). God can do anything for you. He will surely fulfill the desires of your heart that align with His will for you.

Guard your heart with all diligence and make sure you are not sowing your entire life to win the vanities of this life. Submit to God's will in every choice you make to have the father's love (John 3:16).

The word of God is the source of everything in life (John1:1-5). Faith comes at the emergence of God's word. Therefore, the word of God coming to you on daily basis is meant to build up your faith against various life challenges.

In our text, the centurion came to Jesus on behalf of his servant who was sick in a bid to make him whole. He did not ask for anointing oil, handkerchief, water and the likes but the word of God.

The word of God is principal to finding solution to every challenge of life. The weapon of our warfare as believers in Christ are not canal yet mighty in God, breaking down stronghold and able to subject every thoughts or imagination in obedience to God's word (Christ) 2 Cor 10:4.

A man took his radio set for repair. When the technician trouble shot the radio; he discovered that various component of the radio was lubricated with anointing oil. The man was so eaten up with using anointing oil in every challenging issue of life.

Your faith must not rest on physical things but on the word of God. If you believe in the word; it becomes your shield. When you apply the word, it becomes an offensive weapon against every agent of darkness.

The Lord is very much aware of the present situation of your life and He has spoken about it. Believe it, apply it and great deliverance will be your experience.

The Lord is able to bless, heal, provide, protect and perform wonderful miracles in your life at no cost. No man can hinder or limit what He intends to do in the lives of men.

The leprous man took an important step to come to the Saviour to discover His will over his situation. If you must pick a job, wife/husband, church, career, business, location and make decisions that is very critical to your destiny, you must seek to know His will.

In the actual sense, the Lord is ever willing to give you the very best of life. He desires wonderful testimonies of His goodness in your life. However, He will never allow man to take the Glory that belongs to Him be it through his knowledge, wisdom, expertise, wealth and wonderful resources of life.

Error at any level of life is caused by disobedience to any laid down or established law or principle. Disobedience is fundamental to most problems in life. It is the most important attribute the evil one needs to perform his enterprise in a man's life. Don't bother to offer any sacrifice if you have not obeyed God according to His words or laid down principle.

The evil spirit which lures a man into making various mistakes will begin to have the space to thrive each time he considers taking a path contrary to God's will for him. In our text, we saw Prophet Jonah going away from God's presence in disobedience to His word. We all know the aftermath of His disobedience.

Ships will always be available to take you away from the perfect plan of God. Don't be eaten up by the support around your life despite your disobedience. Don't be ignorant of the fact that we have more people living in disobedience to God's word. Happy are you if you are not always trying to shut down the still small voice speaking to you in the direction of obedience to God.

The only sacrifice against every error in life is obedience to God's word. If we can always subject every affairs of our lives to obey Christ we will never fail in any aspect of life.

When we were still a child the elders used to say we were yet to know what is called life. However, as we increase in age we begin to know in part the real definition of life. It was actually discovered that a man can only define life based on his personal experience.

In this life, we have seen many people buy lands in acres; yet, not up to a plot will be given to them at death. Many gather things for those they don't even know. Several others left the earth when they least expected. It is so very painful to receive the news of the death of a loved one. However, we just have to put it in our minds that every man we can see will surely die.

The cars, houses and various material possession are not the most important things but your service towards everyone you come in contact with. In the actual sense there is nothing for the real you on this earth. It is your service and various lifestyle that will pass onward when you are forgotten. Don't frustrate the grace of God over your life; put your life in order in a bid to meet your creator any time any day. This is the best way to live.

However, we just have to put it in our minds that every man we can see will surely die.

The cars, houses and various material possession are not the most important things but your service towards everyone you come in contact with. In the actual sense there is nothing for the real you on this earth. It is your service and various lifestyle that will pass onward when you are forgotten. Don't frustrate the grace of God over your life; put your life in order in a bid to meet your creator any time any day. This is the best way to live.

The ability to manage your will defines your personality and spirituality. Whatever the case might have been with you the fact still remains that whatever percentage you obeyed, you have not obeyed.

What are your desires? What do you live for? Do you really love God or you only need Him to fulfill your selfish desires? To do His will is very easy if and only if you are will to submit your will under His in total obedience to Him.

The Blessedness of your will can only manifest in the event of complete obedience to God. There is no limit to what God can do in your life if you will take deliberate step to follow Him as He leads you on the pathway of destiny. Everything is possible for every man who chooses to live by His will. Make His will your will and He will work on your behalf to do His good pleasure.

Every act contrary to the word of God is considered to be an act of wickedness. Therefore, whatever you do that is not according to His will is regarded as wickedness. The Lord will never be in support of any man who does not walk according to His words.

It is possible that a man like Achan feel good and be at the top of the world when he succeeds in hiding some devoted things contrary to God's word for them as they advance into the promised land (Joshua 7). Little did he know that the success he thought he had will lead to his destruction. So is the life of every ungodly man. No matter how flourishing their life might appear to be, it is just but for a moment.

The Lord is pleading with you to repent from every ungodly act; because it will prevent you from entering the rest the Lord has prepared for you. Don't be eaten up by the fact that nothing is happening to you despite your evil ways of life. If you are disconnected from your God; very soon you will be permanently separated from Him if you fail to repent from your ungodly ways.

Gehazi was very close to Elisha who is the custodian of God's word to the people of that time; but he ignored the words of the Lord and he became a curse to his own household. Every man who became leprous in Gehazi's household will never forgive him.

Make yourself available to mediating on the word of God. The devil is winning the battle over many lives because he succeeded in hindering them from having time to meditate on God's word. The counsel of the ungodly is any counsel that will not glorify God in your life. It is also the type that will not establish the will of God as well as His plans and purpose for your life. It is the counsel that gives a man over to the will of the enemy. This was the same counsel the devil presented to Eve which led to every sinful act seen in men today.

You don't neccessarily need to be in bad company before ungodly counsel comes your way. It will always be with you at every junction of decision to ruin your destiny.

If the glory of a man's life will not turn to shame and he will live to be remembered as an eternal excellence bringing joy to many generation; he must not walk in the counsel of the evil one. This is when such will be considered blessed.

The Lord Jesus while living physically with men, never at any point in time gather for himself material possession of this life yet since everything was created for Him and by Him; He did not lack anything.

You don't need to introduce yourself as someone who have God; your life will definitely reflect it. This is because a city on a hill cannot be hidden (Matt 5: 14).

If God the creator of all things is truly your father; you have every right to enjoy the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. His mind is presented to us through His teachings in the scriptures. He taught about the beatitudes, the fulfilment of law, murder, adultery, divorce, oaths, retaliation, love for enemies, giving to the needy, prayer, fasting, treasures in heaven, cares and worries of life, Judging others, making request, the narrow and wide gates, the tree and its fruits (Matthew 5-.

Sin can never rule in your life when you submit to the words of God. The Lord is very much interested in our lives. He created us to fulfill His purpose for the Glory of His name on earth. However, this will only be possible when we give our lives to live by the principle of His words.

When the evil one is set to render a man useless in the purpose of God in a bid to destroy his destiny he lures him into sin. This was what he did to Adam; and he fell short of God's Glory.

The words of the Lord coming to you on daily basis is meant to guide you as you proceed on the pathway of destiny so that sin will not rule over you. We read about the man called Joseph. The evil one tried to lure him into adultery but the words of the Lord came to him. He said "How can I do this and sin against God". The fact that he responded to God's word in absolute obedience preserved both the purpose of God and his glorious destiny.

The words of the Lord also came to Samson. He knew vividily that he was a nazarite but failed to live in line with God's directive for Him. He was cut short before the twilight of his manifestation. Also, Gehazi refused to heed to God's word pointing to Him the best time to accept gift. He became a curse to his household as well as his generation.

The presence of sin in your life is all the evil one needs to perform his enterprise in your life. Allow God to order your steps in His words and iniquity will not rule to destroy His works in your life.

There is no doubt in the fact that we are surrounded by several witnesses. The life of those who have gone before us speaks volume of their success, trials, temptations, challenges, endurance and patience. It also bring to our notice that our experience is a type which is common to all men. Therefore, don't allow anything you are passing through to look too strange and unique to you.

Those who scaled through, did just because they endured and were patient. Every successful home, family, business, student, ministry is a product of endurance and patience. The essence of all your trial and challenges in life is for you to learn by experience how to patiently endure in all situation of life.

Like those who served as a remarkable witness to us let
us run with endurance the academic, marital, spiritual, career etc race set before us. Trust the Lord to help you as you progress on the pathway of destiny.
