As men we are created uniquely and this influences our desire and choice. However, the Lord who created us knows us more than we know ourselves because our existence is not by our own Idea but His.
The Lord had promised to give us the desire of our hearts but most times it will never go in line with our predictions because His ways are not ours. The best choice to make in life is to settle down with whatever He made available for your life. In the long run, you will discover that you have gotten the best.

Focus: What will People Say?

WORD FOR TODAY
Despite the fact that men will not but say something about your personality and deeds; the fact still remains that you must never subject your life and destiny to the words of men!!!
Scriptural Reference
"For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, "He has a demon." "The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, "Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!" But wisdom is justified by her children."" (Matthew 11:18-19 NKJV).
Irrespective of who you are the fact still remains that people are watching you and they have something to say about you. Your personality is defined deed down in their heart with respect with what they see in your deed. Therefore, you must be mindful of the life you live so that men will see your good works and glorify God.
Nevertheless, you cannot be loved, accepted by everyone; some people will be indifferent with your actions and attitude. If people could do this to our Lord and the likes of John the baptist then who are we.
You must not lose foresight or lose out in destiny on the account of the words of men. Some believers are living in condemnation of sin, some are living to fulfill another man's dream contrary to their wish, many have abandon their mandate just because of what people will say or are saying.
The people we are seeing today are temporary; don't subject your destiny to chance because of their words. There is a God every man will meet hereafter; only Him should determine your actions and inactions.

+ Jesus remain the author of our salvation; where are His critics today?

Focus: Running at Loss

WORD FOR TODAY
Every act of unrighteousness and unfaithfulness in the life of a man makes him run at loss in every divine mandate and allocation. Nothing actually pays a man like allowing God to work in Him to produce the fruit of faithfulness and righteousness!!!

"He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. "Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in what is another man's, who will give you what is your own?" (Luke 16:10-12 NKJV).

It takes love and intensed desire for righteousness to be faithful at every level of life. When we say life is a test; what are we being tested for? Is it not our loyalty, faithfulness and righteousness with respect to those things commited into our hands?

The Lord takes so much delight in fruitfulness and increase. Therefore, He will never take the risk of placing a man He had not tried in a large enterprise. He uses small insignificant enterprise to prove men prior elevation in any aspect of life.

The likes of Joseph, David, Gideon became who they are because they were found to be faithful in small things. Jesus said, you are faithful in large things because you are faithful in small things and that you will not have access to true riches on the account of unfaithfulness in unrighteous mammon. Also, what belongs to you will not be given unto you if you are unfaithful in what belong to another.

Focus: The Hands of Men in the Government of God

WORD FOR TODAY
There will always be the hands of men in the government of God. You must be very weary and conscious of the hands of men in God's affairs; simply because a man irrespective of who he is, can be influenced by the sinful nature!!!

Scriptural Reference
"And He said to her, "What do you wish?" She said to Him, "Grant that these two sons of mine may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on the left, in Your kingdom."(Matthew 20:21).

The Lord took a great risk to put the man He created in charge of the affairs of life. The fact that the first man Adam failed makes all men of the earth corrupt and prone to being ruled by the sinful nature. You are not also left out of this.

In our text, we saw a mother lobbying that her children sit by the Lord in heaven but the Lord replied that she doesn't know what she was asking! The Lord also asked if they can bear His cross! Many want to be in the front position in God's kingdom but not ready to drink His cup or live according to His lifestyle.

There are men placed in the affairs of God's people on earth who implement things based on their selfish interest; they setup spiritual activities to enrich themselves, they give bribes in disguise to cling spiritual position, they manipulate scriptural passages to make people their financial slaves.

Be careful to ensure that you allow God to always have His way in whatever you do for Him. Don't exploit the love people have to honour God to implement your sinful desire. Be mindful of the fact that we will all meet the Lord and give account of our stewardship.

+ In all affairs, whose agenda do you pursue?

Lord! Have your way in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Focus: Spiritual Head

WORD FOR TODAY
There is no other spiritual head other than Christ Jesus. You must never place your life under any spiritual leadership that does not resemble Christ!!!

"For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame--who set their mind on earthly things." (Philippians 3:18-19 NKJV).

Despite the fact that we cannot but be under certain leadership for guidance, inspiration, correction, edification and tutelage; the fact still remains that you must never take the risk of submitting your life under a leadership that does not go in line with the life of Christ. This is because the leadership under whom you submit your life can influence your destiny.

The Lord took great risk to commit His purpose on earth into the hands of men. Though, there are men who are good shepherds and at the same time there are several men who are wolves in shepherd clothing.

Whatever the case may be, we must live our entire life being conscious of what the Lord said about this end time. He said there will be greedy men who will always pursue their agenda at the expense of God's will. They will present themselves to men rather than God. They will speak more of what the devil can do to kill the faith you have in what God can do and make you to live in fear so as to be at their mercy in various situation of life. Also, they exploits people of their money, belongings using fake promises of what God will do and terrified prophecy of doom.

+ Is Christ your spiritual Head?

Focus: At The Mercy of His Mercy
WORD FOR TODAY
Irrespective of your achievement in life the fact still remains that your life will always be at the mercy of His mercy!!!
Scriptural Reference
"For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion." So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy." (Romans 9:15-16 NKJV).
If the Lord does not have mercy on you, who will? We can only receive mercy from any quarters of life each time the Lord decides to show us mercy.
Whether a man likes it or not; his life will continue to be at the mercy of God who created him. This is because there is a limit to what you can do for yourself; there is a level your capacity can carry you. Therefore, there is nothing you can do without God.
As you proceed on the pathway of destiny always have it at the back of your mind that it was His mercy that brought you this far and you need this mercy all the days of your life. There are men who have strength, who are fast runners, brilliant with various wonderful virtues of life but who are miserable mainly because they have not found the mercy of God which makes grace available.
In all your ways desire His mercy so as to preserve your future. Don't ignore the instruction and the will of the Lord who had mercy on you on the account of trying to be at the mercy of men. Reverence Him all the days of your life; for His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation (Luke 1:50).

Love is an important pre-requisite for every marriage that will work out the purpose of God. Sometimes as either husband or wife situation of life can make you feel inferior to your spouse. Love demands that we should always try to help each other to feel equal.

A times, married couple may not even know each other's feelings, in such a case they can't help each other. At such times you have to help yourself through the word of God. Doing this will always bring about the required peace, love and joy you earnestly desire in your home.

Despite the fact that various life's pursuit can make you to be very busy, the fact still remains that you need a family with sons and daughters to have real fulfillment. In this big world, your small little world (family) which represent your lot in the land of the living will always make you feel good.

A Godly family can never be judgemental nor put you down and will never make you feel small. It is the only place where people will never laugh at your weakness and where you will always get love and respect. Be committed to making your marriage work through humility and love so as to have a godly family.

Irrespective of your experience, life will always give you an opportunity in all situation to turn to God your Creator. Therefore, the best option among several options in all situation of life is to please and appreciate God the giver of life!!!

"And he said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD."" (Job 1:21 NKJV).

When the Lord said to satan "Have you considered my servant Job? There is none like Him" He was trying to reveal the outstanding nature of one of His own creation whom He has tried and proved over the time.

The Lord allowed Job to have the experience He had just to present to us a model of a man like us who passed through terrible challenges of life and at the same time maintained his integrity and consecration before God. He had opportunity to be offended, abuse God but He rather praised the unquestionable God who remains the Lord of all.

Whatever the case may be with you know from the first principle that the life you have is a privilege. When evil times come and it seems as if situation of life does not favour you, know at that very point in time that a test of your loyalty to God has come.

Put the devil to shame by remaining loyal to God. Maintain your consecration before Him and praise Him for all your experiences because they will eventually workout for your good.

The Lord is very much interested in our physical well being and He is willing to do His good pleasure in our lives if we will always come to Him to present our petitions.

He is a loving father; we cannot ask for bread and receive stone from Him; if a man will not do that, He won't do that either.

One of the most important strategy of the evil one is to hinder men from coming to God and presenting close alternatives to men. If there be anything hindering you from coming to God; such is hindering you from the original blessing of God and the required divine intervention you need for your life.

What do you need for your life and destiny? The Lord is making it known to you that He is ever willing to do it. All you need is to cooperate with Him and allow Him to do it in His own way at His own time. No matter how wonderful your desires in life may appear to be, don't settle for the alternative the devil is offering to you; God is always willing to do it for you if you will come and submit to His principles.

Despite the fact that alot of things determine what we will be in life and our experiences the fact still remains that God is the ultimate factor that determines the outcome of whatever we do.

Your success or whatever achievement you've achieved in life is still a mirage if God is not principally involved. Embarking on anything without obeying God in His principle is more or less like building on a sinking sand.

It is not enough to have good result under the atmosphere of examination malpractices or living in luxury and accumulating wealth after exploiting the weakness or ignorance of other men; the main issue is that only God determines true blessing.

Whatever you are doing without God's support is considered as nothing. Every act of unrighteous will continue to linger in certain portion of the heart of a man who engages in it to deny him the real fulfillment he actually desires. Real and true blessing in life begins with involving God and seeking His righteousness in every facet of life.

Change is a constant factor of life. The Lord made it so to ensure that man does not live persistently in suffering and to also experience a period of refreshing in every facet of life.

Even if your experience seems to be terrible, be rest assured that in the plan of God for you there is a season of refreshing for you. Don't lose faith or give up on your glorious emergence in any aspect of your life.

When the season appears to be good; remember that it is the Lord who made this grace available and do not play god but reference the almighty God for the privilege you have. And if the case with you is that you find yourself in very tough season you don't need to murmur but rather wait upon God to bring a turn around. For the God of the mountain is still God in the valley.

If you have been weeping He can turn it to laughter, sowing to reaping, sickness to good health, failure to success, poverty to prosperity. As you move on in life with God on your side be confident of the fact that all will be well with your soul.

The Lord is so gracious to all His creations that He gave all men some measure of opportunity based on our capacity. Every man will have his own day of opportunity. Therefore, we must all learn to number our days in every facet of life so as to apply our hearts to wisdom.

Several witnesses of wisdom surrounds us. These will be made available to us by observing little things. Hence, wisdom begins by taking note of little things of life.

As a young man, take note of the fact that you are not growing younger; exploit the strength of your youthfulness to prepare for the coming days. You must never do anything without an eye in the future. As a pilgrim on earth; you have not come to stay permanently on earth. Being on earth provides an opportunity to prepare for your eternal home.

As a man of God who is a custodian of God's people on earth; always remember that the church of Christ is permanent but His people on earth are temporary. Use the opportunity you have to prepare them for life eternal and not to exploit their loyalty to God because you will give an account of those souls placed in your hand.

Most of the times, pleasurable things of the earth are always been overrated. Sometimes we think that getting certain things will bring the best out of our lives but in the actual sense it doesn't.

An answer to your prayers will always change your orientation about whatever you seek because life will continue to tell you that the best is yet to come.

In life, we will not but always come to this one unique conclusion over everything we earnestly anticipate that "So it is not more than this" Sometimes ago a man in a well known University worked so very hard to achieve a very great feat in the academic world. On a faithful day He became a Professor. After some days, he told one of his students that "So being a professor is not more than this"

I don't know your pursuit in life; try as much as possible to find God in everything in life. Solomon, despite all he had and enjoyed in life; he concluded that everything was vanity (Eccl 2:10-11) and advised men to take it as a duty to fear God and keep His commandment.

Focus: The forbidden Fruit

WORD FOR TODAY
The fact that God gave us the opportunity to eat doesn't mean you can eat everything. Identifying what to eat and what not to eat in every facet of life is an important factor that determines life and death!!!
¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤
Scriptural Reference
"And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; "but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." (Genesis 2:16-17 NKJV).

The Lord commanded man to eat of any fruit of the Garden except just one- the forbidden fruit. Doing what is contrary to the will of God is synonymous to eating the forbidden fruit.

The fact that God told man not to eat the forbidden fruit does not mean He wants to deny him certain enjoyment, benefit and entitlement but rather He wants to save man from death. Right from creation, there are ways which looks right before men which eventually leads to death. Men like Adam & Eve, Gehazi wouldn't have taken the steps they took if they knew or believed that their action will lead to destruction.

The Lord is gracious enough to man in that He will not but always send the required signs and His word just to deliver him from every grip of sin. He did not strip us the power of our will to ensure that we choose life or death at every point in time. Allow His word to always influence your choice so as to live.

+ Does the word of God have an influence in the choices you make?

Every challenge of our lives as God's children is meant to fulfill one important aim; that the son of God may be glorified through it!!!

"When Jesus heard that, He said, "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it."" (John 11:4 NKJV).

Every issue around our lives is not meant to kill us, ridicule us or put us at the disadvantage of other men but to ensure that the Lord is glorified through our lives. If there be any form of sickness in various aspect of our lives as God's children it will only provide an occasion or suitable platform for God to do His good pleasure and glorify Himself through it.

Many times we ask questions: "Why do the people of God have problems?" We have problems and face various Life's challenges because we are the bearer of His glory. If Christ suffered so much on our behalf to be the author of our salvation then our lives cannot be an exception. The healing of the physical wounds we bear at every point in time will continue to serve as a proof of His power.

If you are truly His and you are consistent to obeying His principles and following Him in His steps; the challenges of your life will continue to unfold more of His power and grace to you. We can only know Him by experience not in words but in the things we suffer. As long as we live we will continue to bears wound that will continue to ensure our transition from one level of glory to another.

The major turning point of the lives of most people always come mostly when the word of God comes to them. Men of God like Elisha, Jeremiah, Zachariah, Isaiah, Abraham, Gideon, Moses, Joshua (just to mention few) were just ordinary men until the word of the Lord came to them. We can read and speak about them simply because they accepted the word of God that came to them.

The Lord is so gracious that He still sends His word to us even in this last days. Each time His word comes to you do not harden your heart but accept and surrender yourself to it like Abram and the likes did; for it doesn't at any time come for fun or as a tradition but as an instrument of elevation in righteousness and deliverance from the evil enterprise of the devil.

If there be any of God's word coming to you; it is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that you as a man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Don't give up on God; He will surely do His good pleasure in your life. His timing is different from that of men and the manner with which He works is beyond any human comprehension. He only does things at the most beautiful moment as peculiar to every individual life. As far as He is concerned; there is no delay in His dictionary. Hence, His banner over you is love.

When God called Abraham; He called him out of his familiar ground to a land he showed him. The aftermath of the steps he took in obedience to God made him the father of many generations.

We are always afraid of taking steps mostly because of the fear of the unknown. However, it takes taking steps to move on in life. You will always be a step closer to what God has for you each time you take definite steps towards His will for your life.

You can't know how much God can do for you nor quantify how great His plan is; if you don't take deliberate steps to following Him in His steps.

Each time you see people who are educated, professionals in certain field, married with a blissful home, fulfilled ministry; you have seen people who took definite steps in life. What you see in their lives is the product of the steps they've taken so far in life.

This is not about just doing something or taking any steps but obeying God based on the peculiarity of your life.

The Lord is seriously committed to satisfying you with long life if you will dwell within the circumference of His will for your life.

Many people have passed unto eternity but their memory still lingers in the heart of men. Their impact remains fresh each time their lives come to remembrance. This is long life. If there be any God's Glory to be declared through your life you cannot just die (Ps 118:17).

The man who died pre-maturely is the man who died without fulfilling his divine mandate. A fulfilled life is the only definition the Lord has for long life. Therefore, whenever the evil one tends to threaten your life with death; always remember the fact that the Lord said He will satisfy you with long life and show you His salvation just because you have set your love upon Him and know His name and dwell under the shadow of His wings.

The evil one is winning most of the battles over God's children because people know more of what the devil can do than what God can do. The intensity of the proclamation of the evil works of darkness by most men in our pulpits today makes people to live in fear to the point of shouting the blood of Jesus over ordinary cockroach going about its activities.

Sometimes when young people of our days looks zealous and fervent in prayers; they mostly do so in fear and lost of courage in the presence of real battles of life.

Our faith will always determine our experience. Let's not be agent of darkness nor speak more of the potentials of the evil one. Rather, let's have faith in the word of God and walk in the reality of our victory in Christ Jesus.

It is in seeking His kingdom and its righteousness that all other things can be delivered to you peacefully.

If you have received the grace and the power of God; don't squander them on vanity nor use the prime moment of your life to pursue what several unbelievers have without any stress and those things without any eternal value.

Despite the fact that God is not ignorant of our needs in the land of the living; He does not want us live for ephemeral things of this life but rather for the establishment of His kingdom in every domain of our placement. We are actually saved just because God wants to give us life in its fullness. This life will be handed unto us only if we live to seek His kingdom and live by its righteousness.

The Lord from the beginning showed his ultimate interest in man by coming down to relate and have communion with him. The essence of this relationship is to make man know by experience what He had done and can do.

Your experience as you follow and walk with God matters so much; because they will serve as a platform for the victory you will have in coming days.

David was able to face Goliath and overcome because of his relationship with God and the fact that he understood and knew his right in Him. The Lord had been his Shepherd and the One who lead him all the way.

You will not be able to stand in every battle of life if you don't know by experience what the Lord had done for you and your right as God's child.

The nature of a man is the type that can be so eaten up with the fact that nothing happens despite the degree of sin and disobedience to the will of God. However, when it appears as if nothing happens, God is only making allowance for your repentance.

The fact that you are committing sin, dragging the name of God in the mud, using His name to fulfill your selfish desires, bringing strange fire on His altar and living consistently in disobedience to His will and yet nothing seems to be happening to you; does not amount to the fact that what you are doing is right nor stop you from facing the consequence if you fail to repent. The only grace you might be enjoying is the fairness of God in that He takes no pleasure in the death of a sinner.

You don't have to grow wings in your wrong doings. Therefore, let not your confidence in whatever you do be rooted in His fairness. Don't take the grace of God for granted repent from all your sins.

There are several evil men on earth (both believers and unbelievers alike) who are living fine and in riches despite the evil works of their hands. Infact, most times they appear to be much more favoured among men but in the actual sense they are only enjoying the period of Grace made available for all men.

Every creation of God is entitled to some measure of His blessing. This is because the only One and true God is fair to all. Come to think of it; we have those who don't know God but pray to mere wooden idols and still get what they desire. In what they do, they still get inspiration though not from God but from the fact that they get result.

In the world today, there are several beliefs and religions. Those who practice these religions are not doing it for nothing. There is a level of inspiration they get from doing it, not because what they are doing is correct nor a way to eternal life but just because of the fact that God is merciful and at the same time fair in meeting the needs of all His creation.

Therefore, when these people show a kind of confidence in what they are doing because of the result they've seen; such confidence is only rooted in the fairness of God. There is only One true God; Him alone you must serve.

The old time religion is not in line with the present day religion. It is a religion that is more of a call to the lifestyle of Christ Jesus rather than routine sacred activities. This was the original religion delivered to the saints of old.
It is a type of religion where high priority is placed on the inspiration and leading of the Holy Spirit for just everything. They placed less value on materialism; in fact, they gave all they had just to have their souls fixed on every divine assignment.

They counted their lives as nothing and put themselves in line for the course of the Lord. It was actually good for them because they experienced God and the name of the Lord was not dragged in the mud on the account of their lives. They actually became the heroes of our faith, serving as a great cloud of witness validating the effectiveness of God's power in the lives of men.

What is happening in our days? Real miracles are very scarce. There is famine of God's word - most of the ones flying here and there are adulterated. Worship sessions are tailored towards the interest of men with respect to the current trend in the world and not the Holy Spirit. Let's go back to that religion which has its ultimate focus on God's will and not human desires.

Jesus Christ paid the ultimate sacrifice for the salvation of all mankind. Therefore, you don't need any other sacrifice as far as God is concerned. You don't need to die nor die for anyone because Christ did that already.

More so, the only sacrifice required by God is that of Christ Jesus. If there is any sacrifice required from you; it is obedience to God's principle that governs all activities in the land of living and following Him in His steps as a living sacrifice.

If you are truly saved by the virtue of the gift of God through salvation, the package you received is a complete one. Not because of anything but for the fact that Christ paid it all. In it, you have prosperity, all spiritual blessing, deliverance from curses, satanic manipulation and all limitations of life.

The Lord on the Cross said it is finished; the work of our salvation wasn't a half job but a complete one. Therefore, your victory in every facet of life be it spiritually or physically begins with knowing what Christ had done for you. Your freedom hangs on the degree of truth you know. Hence, believe in the work Christ did on your behalf and walk daily in the victory.

Many people are serving God, doing all sorts of things in His name. However, the Lord is moved much more about the nature of your heart than the physical expression of what you do in His name.

You must have a type of heart that praises and glorifies God. A heart free from sin. A resigned, submissive and a meek heart.

A heart which is the great Redeemer’s throne. Where only Christ is heard to speak. Where Jesus reigns alone. A humble, lowly, contrite heart, believing, true and clean, which neither life nor death can part from Christ who dwells within.

A heart which renews every thought and full of love divine. A Perfect, right, pure and good; a copy of the Lord's heart.

A heart that can never rest until perfect divine peace is created. A heart with hidden manna and the tree of life; where the word of God dwells.

You have to trust God for this type of heart if your labour will not be in vain. No matter how wonderful and glorious what we do for God may appear to be He will never accept a service not done with a correct heart.

*Waiting on Him always to strengthen us to do all things.
*Having a sober mind with a self-renouncing will that tramples down and cast behind every baits of pleasing ill,
*Having a godly fear and a quick discerning eye that looks up to God for help when sin is near.
* Having a single steady aim of pleasing God alone.
* Having a heart that never murmur in tribulation but praying without ceasing.
*Having a spirit still prepared and armed with jealous care; forever standing on its guard and watching unto prayer.
* Having a jealous just concern for God's immortal praise; a pure desire that all may learn to glorify His name.

Whatever the case may be; let us rest upon His word, because the promise is for us. Our comfort and salvation shall surely come from the Lord. Let us abide still and never give up hoping, till He guides our patient spirit into His perfect love and rest.

If there is anything or reason for which you must follow and walk with God, it is to experience and have Him as your everlasting portion. The best thing the Lord offered to men of old who walked with Him was not money or material possession but Himself. He presented Himself to Abraham as his exceeding reward.

We have friends, relatives, wife/husband, children, whom the Lord gave us on temporary basis to support our lives on the pathway of destiny. Sooner or Later we either leave them or they leave us; so also all material things we have. We are only caretakers. Nevertheless many people derailed from the will of God on the account of these things.

Many who claimed to be walking with Him are doing so for ease, worldly pleasure and human applause. They are not ready to pay the sacrifice for any cause of the Lord. Many are not serving Him with Joy because they lack physical pleasurable things of this earth.

Despite the fact that God really have interest in blessing us while on earth the fact still remains that he sees us as a temporary being on earth. He brought us here to prepare us for eternity. Hence, life is a test, a trust and a temporary assignment.

There is a God you will meet when every life issues will be over. Walk closely with Him so as to enter with Him into His eternal presence.

Focus: Settled in Heaven

WORD FOR TODAY
The word of God and not the experience of men is settled in heaven. It is not appropriate to use the experience of men to explain the word of God but the word of God to explain the experience of men!!!

It is expected that the word of God should be the experience of men and not the experience of men to be the word of God. The experience of men can change and can be subjected to time and various seasons in life but not the word of God; this is because it is settled in heaven.

No matter what you feel about life as a result of your experience; it is not a basis for you or any man to alter what the Lord has said. The right approach is for us to always consider the word of God before taking any action and not finding the word of God as a backup to our actions or intended selfish desires. When the word of the Lord does not come first in every bid to carry out any divine assignment such work can never be correct; it will only fulfill the lust of the flesh.

People by the virtue of their experience disobey most of what Christ taught the new testament Church in terms of prayer, giving, love for enemies, taking oath, fasting, treasure in heaven, cares and worries of life etc(Matt 5-7) . The good news of our Lord Jesus is no longer what motivates people to pray in most churches but the evil enterprise of the devil in the lives of men or quest for materialism.

Whatever the case may be with you the fact still remains that the Lord has a standard that can never be compromised.

Focus: Spiritual Eyes

WORD FOR TODAY
A man is spiritually blind if he doesn't see things the way God sees them. What you see in things determine the value you will place on them!!!

"But the Lord was with Joseph, and he [though a slave] was a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all that he did to flourish {and} succeed in his hand." (Genesis 39:2-3 AMP).

How can someone be a slave and still be considered as a prosperous man? It takes a man with a spiritual eyes to see that a man like Joseph who is a slave in Egypt is a prosperous man. This is not because of anything but the presence and the influence of God in His life.

What the natural man seek to see in the lives of men to judge whether they are prosperous or not are physical perishable material things and not eternal things. A man can claim to be born again and still be spiritually blind if his life is still being ruled by the flesh (sinful nature).

It is recorded that Portipher the master of Joseph an unbeliever could see God in his life. Yet, many so called Children of God cannot see the glorious inheritance they have in Christ. Many still believe they are still under bondage, generational curses just because God has not entrusted into their hands the pleasurable physical things of the world.

Consequently, some become offended, others who are men of God become ministers of vanity. Irrespective of the circumstances around your life, if you must see God and see the way He sees, you must possess Spiritual eyes.

Focus: What It Means to Wait upon God

WORD FOR TODAY
You cannot understand what it means to wait upon God until you have learnt how to hold strongly unto the Lord and looking unto Him as the author and the finisher of your faith in the face of mockery of people (believers and unbelievers), misunderstanding, rejection from loved ones, loneliness, moment of uncertainty and dark moments when the devil comes to whisper the thoughts of hopelessness!!!

"but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." (Isaiah 40:31 NKJV).

The period of waiting is a time when you are expected to believe strongly that: Those who know God will surely put their trust in Him, and that the LORD, have never forsaken those who seek Him. (Psalms 9:10).

It is a time to develop your inner mind so strongly to experience Him. It is not enough to wait, but for those who wait properly Jesus will reveal Himself to them to provide the necessary help.

You have to wait upon God to get everything in Him; He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ and not in the world.

In the past, several people who waited upon God received the promise; if the Lord did it for people who fulfilled their destiny, yours will not be an exception in various aspect you are waiting upon Him. Don't allow the devil to steal your birthright. As you wait you will also receive the promise.
