President speech was interrupted as the power outage occurred while he was delivering his speech to the congregation.
He was talking about his administration’s restructuring of the Nigerian economy when the church was thrown into darkness as seen in the picture on a very sunny day in Lagos.
Laughing along with the cheering congregation, Dr Jonathan remarked that by the power outage, officials of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria are telling him not to sleep until the nation’s power crisis is fixed.
He however vowed that by next year the power in the church will be uninterrupted.
The Easter Sunday service also had in attendance, former Head of State General Yakubu Gowon.

Chaos at a school in Pakistan after a grenade attack on Saturday leaves its principal dead. Two men on a motorbike reportedly attacked the school in Pakistan's port city of Karachi. They hurled a hand grenade at the building, ran in and threw another grenade before opening fire. The attack left four students and two teachers injured.

The school's principal died on the way to hospital. The students were waiting for their exam results when the attack happened. (SOUNDBITE)(Urdu) INJURED TEACHER, ATTAUR REHMAN, SAYING: "After 15 minutes, suddenly a man ran in firing. We were all engrossed in the magic show. But as soon as the firing started, there was a stampede. I think they threw two hand grenades also." No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
