Every sane person knows the photo is fake. But the same people who once claimed Buhari was dead and replaced by a cloned Sudanese man will believe and spread such fake news just to push their agenda. They are deeply immersed in social media hype and conspiracy theories.

The Obidient movement has functioned more as a vehicle for advancing a particular ethnic agenda than as a genuinely national movement. A close look at the 2023 elections and the profile of those who represented the Labour Party and the Obidient movement outside the South-East raises serious questions about its claim of representing all Nigerians.

Despite its nationalist rhetoric, it is an open secret that the movement has struggled to demonstrate broad-based inclusiveness and has largely been driven by regional loyalties and identity politics. Many Nigerians are still deceiving themselves that the Obidient movement represents the collective interests of the country, but, in reality, it is just to advance a particular ethnic group's agenda.

This is another replay of the 2023 playbook: falsehood, propaganda and the same failed strategy. All the conspiracy theories collapsed like a pack of cards, and President Tinubu emerged victorious. A man you could not defeat despite all the propaganda, social media misinformation, currency redesign, and endless court cases. It is politically naïve and wishful thinking to believe you will defeat him now that he is a sitting president. Another bitter lesson may await you in 2027.

The NDC is made up of serial party hoppers from APGA, APC, PDP, LP and other parties; ideologically deficient politicians; out-of-favour political figures; and strange bedfellows pretending to be an opposition movement and masquerading as champions of democracy, all in a bid to regain power and continue enjoying its spoils. Nothing differentiates them.

What we are witnessing is some deluded supporters trying to sanctimoniously portray them as different from others and elevate them as champions of democracy, when in reality they are no better, and perhaps even worse than the very people they are criticising. Ironically, the same factors that brought these strange bedfellows together may ultimately become their undoing.

Peter Obi is merely grandstanding and pandering to the gallery, giving his online warriors something to feed on while masquerading like a opposition figure, when in reality he is intellectually and capacity-wise empty. A serial party hopper, who achieved nothing remarkable in a small state like Anambra during his eight years in office. He will ultimately be confined to the political dustbin of history after the 2027 elections.

Obidients celebrated Okonkwo as a defender of democracy when he was criticising others and singing the praises of their political messiah, Peter Obi. Now that the criticism is directed at them, they should accept it with the same enthusiasm and stop complaining.

Obidients never seem to have learned how to handle criticism, they only know how to criticize and malign others. They have elevated Peter Obi to a messianic figure whom they believe is beyond scrutiny or criticism. What they are promoting is a form of intolerance toward dissenting views, a dictatorship of a vocal few. Their constant double standards often come across as hypocritical and detached from political reality.
The hypocrisy and political delusion on display are hard to ignore.

Same script as 2023, same failed outcome. All this phantom social media hype and fabricated stories will not help your messiah, Peter Obi, get into Aso Rock. He will most likely come a distant third again, as usual.

The reality is that the OK movement appears to benefit Kwankwaso more. It strengthens his positioning ahead of 2031, especially with expectations that power may return to the North, and he can always remind Obidients that he once aligned with their “messiah,” Peter Obi.
For Obi and his camp, though, the movement often looks louder online than it does politically on the ground, and despite the hype, their “messiah” could still end up in third place again.

Saudi Arabia has been remarkably successful at building and promoting a destination where millions of people gather to worship a phantom supreme being (Allah) and perform rituals such as the symbolic stoning of Satan. These are the same self-proclaimed saviours and saints who claim they want to rescue Nigeria and constantly preach about real-time transmission of election results, yet they couldn't conduct a simple party primary properly. They are a confused and hypocritical bunch.

Actually, the 'Grass Cutters' scammer has already left the ADC and is reportedly on his way to the APC, where he'll be welcomed with open arms, treated to a photo-op with Tinubu at the Villa, and probably rewarded with a role in the Tinubu re-election campaign council.

Funny how the same man who campaigned against the Muslim-Muslim ticket in 2023 will now be expected to defend and sell the very mandate he once condemned and also defend a mandate that, for many Nigerians, has since become a mandate of hardship and death.

Have you also forgotten how your messiah, Peter Obi, aligned with the same people he once described as the "structure of criminality" but left their camp when it became clear to him that he would not get their presidential ticket freely? There is nothing different about any of them; they are all desperate and serial party hoppers with no political ideology. The difference is that we have some deluded supporters desperately trying to repackage Peter Obi as a messiah and pick him out from among the desperadoes and opportunists as a reformer who is somehow different from the others.

Aisha should stick to social media rants. Politics is not for those who mistake online hype for political relevance and criticism for leadership.

These are the same old politicians, repackaged under a different banner and pretending to be champions of democracy simply to claw their way back to power. There is nothing new or exceptional about them. Some serial party hoppers and politically insignificant figures have decamped to another party and are now attempting to reinvent themselves as saviours and champions of democracy, all in pursuit of power and its privileges. Meanwhile, their supporters are convincing themselves that these individuals are genuine reformers. What we are witnessing is a deliberate effort to rebrand opportunistic politicians as defenders of democracy, while promoting minority viewpoints as though they represent the will of the majority.

"Saviours" who couldn’t even fix their own political failures suddenly want to “save” Nigeria. A bunch of delusional and hypocritical people pretending to be messiahs.

NDC is merely masquerading as an opposition party to deceive gullible people and divide opposition votes. They lack both the structure and strategy needed to win a presidential election. They are just a bunch of noisemakers and pretenders, relying more on social media propaganda and hype than on real political strategy or grassroots support.
