megawealth01:I didn't say that o. In fact, how can I say that when I have 35 companies in my portfolio and still counting. The best I can do for the one I don't fancy any more is just leave it there, while I accumulate the favoured ones. ![]() Lesson learnt: Diversification is the order of the day. |
naturalflow:You are quite observant. I thought I was the only one seeing this. Since, they know that no dividend would be paid, they find a way of mopping up the shares. You that don't know their gimmick would think that something is about to happen because of quantity you see that is involved. As quantity traded soars higher, price is bound to move. That was why Access that had been stagnant for a while gained N1 to close at N27. This is called market makers/ market movers( i hope i got that correctly MM, whatever). Just like Megawealth01 would say and I quote: "The game is game" Nothing will save Access from losing 10% on Monday. No matter the debate here. But, i may not be certain for Tuesday. This banks are just taken one for granted. It is high time i divest my holding into manufacturing, pharmaceutical, industrial, food & beverages, telecommunications and the agricultural sectors. Enough is enough. I still remain a dividend investor. |
Mankind2024:I am not a seer nor do I have a crystal ball. But, I would have love to know this ordinary person doing extraordinary things. ( Does he have another moniker on this thread? ) |
Mankind2024:From one Billionaire to another Billionaire. ![]() |
yMcy56:Please do not quote me wrongly. I specifically tagged Access Bank and UBA with the one chance. Moreso, I wasn't even opportuned to buy Presco at the low prices you quoted. I had to respond to your post as the only person so far that had used the term one chance. as I suspect you were actually referring to my post. |
KarlTom:I have entered one chance. UBA : No dividend. Access: No dividend. I hope Fidelity Bank will pay something. ![]() |
Sunrisepebble: Picking more after probably hitting a one billion naira mark. I thought you wanted to trim down ![]() Lesson learnt : Never kill the goose that lays the golden egg. |
Today is the turn of Wapco to drop dividend. |
Sunrisepebble:Na man you be. It was just the other day someone on this thread was celebrating a portfolio of 1 billion naira and some people were like it is not possible or he was called out to explain. But, here Sunrisepebble is trying to celebrate a single stock of 1 billion naira. Wao, when I hear things like these, then i realise I have not started in the investment world. But, I know some day we would get there. Congratulations in advance, with Wapco Q1 that is out, your milestone is a done deal. When you are big, you are large. ![]() Lesson learnt: Follow who know road. |
Investors don save UBA today. If you have UBA to sell it off, bargain investors are lurking around. I only sold off 10%. I am a long term investor. ![]() |
megawealth01:Thank you. It is noted, but the way am seeing it, it might not lose 10% tomorrow. I will remain as a loooonnnggg term investor. ![]() |
deathwing:I did limit. |
Thank you GTCO for the dividend. No be like some yeye bank that can't pay anything. Yet, they have huge money in their retained earning. |
Good day great investors. I was able to offer all my UBA stocks during the pre market ( fastest fingers first (fff) In fact, i was number 17 on the tray. I was surprised that only 7,000 was sold and i was taken down on queue to #98. I thought it is a first come first serve, hence am surprised that only a paltry units of 7,000 was sold. I await who know how this works as i don't think it will get to my turn again. But, tomorrow will be another date to offload UBA. I can even buy MEYER paint that is ready to pay N0.45k. I am a dividend investor. ![]() |
purity2all:I am thinking along this line too. If Access loses 10% tomorrow i will load it up. Access will do well if it declares dividend. |
Byankee:Banking sector is a different ballgame. They are in charge of people's money and they have huge amount in their retain earnings. Except, that the retained earning is audio money. UBA will drop as low as N30 before you will see buyer |
Another 10% loss in UBA is sure for tomorrow and another full offer with little or no bidding. I am not a prophet, but i am sure of this prediction. ![]() |
GeneralDae:Story story .................. |
yMcy56:Thank you. |
yMcy56:Based on this, please can you help me confirm that if UBA closes today @ N49.50k. The upper limit tomorrow will be N54.40k while the lower limit will be N44.50k. I want to know this as it will aid me to place my offer again tomorrow. Let's see how it will go |
Good entry price for this UBA is N30.00k I am far away in the offer table. Tomorrow i will try again. |
aj8:Yes o. 09:00am is for us to place our order. That had been conveniently done, place UBA in the offer. |
Agbalowomeri:FASTEST FINGERS FIRST Let us see how it will play out today. The clock is ticking " tick tock, tick tock, tick tock.................." |
Raider76:Very easy decision i had made immediately the result dropped. Today is the D day. |
ppogba:Thanks for the enlightenment, I didn't get that angle before now. Thank you for the correction. |
Streetinvestor2:How do you participate in a RI that priced higher than the market ? Throughout the period of the RI the market price was lower. It makes no common sense buying a product higher when you can get the same product cheaper. There is no economic sense in that. Now, the the stock is destined to a free fall this week. Who becomes the ultimate loser ? In fact, i see this as an opportunity for ACCESSCORP to play catch-up ( that is if they can just manage to pay at least N2.00k dividend). I am highly disappointed with UBA's result ![]() |
emmanuelewumi:I love this portfolio, very simple and straightforward. I have 9 of those stocks in my portfolio. Numbers 1 & 2 belongs to the OTC. I really don't know how to buy OTC stocks, I would have loved to pitch my tent with CSCS companies. They should be making good money, this was how I ignored NGXgroup when it was listed. But, now it is the bride of every investor. I thank God am in. Still working on how to prune my 33 stocks to maximum 20 fundamentally sound ones. This bullish season is a very good opportunity ( if it continues). I really have to empower and concentrate my wins and let those contributing less go. ![]() |
emmanuelewumi:What do you expect, the President has just coronated his henchman on tax matters as the Minister of Finance and the coordinating Minister for the Economy. I even hear that Lagos state government is introducing tax on solar panel on buildings ( very soon, it will go round all the states). This is a government that have completely failed to provide electricity. I won't be surprised if they create tax for the air we breathe. It is well ![]() |
I didn't read the report of UBA in detail. But, i have gone through the highlights of the result. What am seeing is very bad. I am no prophet of doom but, I am definitely sure that UBA by Monday will be in fully offer with the maximum 10% loss. I won't sit down and watch my investment go down the drain. I have always said it and I stand by it: I am a dividend investor When a bank and not other companies fails to pay dividend ( not even a small amount), that bank is finished. There is no sugar coating UBA result. I am predicting massive dumping on Monday morning. I am revealing my strategy here because it only has to do with fastest fingers first (fff). Also need i remind you all that the market now opens early as from Monday. If am able to offload all my UBA shares by Monday I will be very happy because I will still be in a profit situation. When the bank gets it acts together I will be back. I used this method for Dangote Sugar and had not regretted it, but if am unable to offload all on Monday, Tuesday is still there and if not I still have Wednesday, provided am still in a profit situation. Let Tony Elumelu have his company back. The only people that will bidding for this stock are those that are not privy to the result ( but, there was ample time enough for all to see this result as it came out over the weekend) ![]() This is just my layman opinion and not an investment advice, please do your due diligence. Thank you. Lesson learnt: I can't possibly go downwith a company that performs below expectations. I move my funds if i can and try other places, as i am not the owner of the company in the first place. No sentiment attached ![]() |
By Monday good companies will be rewarded by investors, while bad companies will be punished by investors. It is as simple as that. This will be my first time in NGX hearing that a company paid interim dividend and would not pay final dividend. Or is the final dividend still coming ? UBA just disappointed itself and not me. We move UBA had rode on the back of GTCO and Zenith to get to this present state. This is called bandwagon effect of companies in the same sector. It is well. Lesson learnt : Always be wary of results that are delayed, whether by CBN or the company itself. If a company result is fantastic they will rush to publish the result, but if a result is bad they will find a way to delay it under any guise. |

FUA from FUGAZ should drop the results so that one will know what he is doing. |
