You can still buy land there.Plots with grasses above a metre tall can be found at Upperhill for about 5.5 million dollars per acre down from the ridiculous prices of 10m USD per acre. Some parts of it is changing, but construction is still booming there with manholes for new skycrappers littered all over. tylann: all those roads have been repaired you are posting 2013 pics
and upperhill is not our cbd

Upperhill is a construction site.Roads are now coming up. Most of the roads there are new!
|
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Jonraid(m): 11:02am On Nov 21, 2019 |
Upperhill is fairly new. For your info there are still many plots to be developed there. It's battling to be a CBD just like Westlands,it's not even yet an official CBD! Plus the roads are much better now, these aren't the latest pictures of the place. samorobo: All roads In Your cbd are chaotic , useless and broken down.....No wonder your cement consumption is low.. |

Many people have wrote about it. I might as well start disputing the figures you people say about Kenya. Come up with a better answer! samorobo: Reasearches lie...I gave up when I discovered you gave me reasearch gate as fact.. reasearch gate is just like quora or even nairaland where any time, dick and Harry can come online to rant.. |

What are your tax revenues in billion dollars that finance your budget? vaxx1: The left over should be used in a sane enviroment when debt servicing ratio is taken. that is if it is rich enough to fund his own development. but country such as yours may need to borrowed more to fill the gap. causing more debt .... |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Jonraid(m): 10:44am On Nov 21, 2019 |
Is better having slums/shacks which you can demolish and build decent structures than slurmbanization as in the case of Nigeria! tylann: for example this onitsha
such chaotic urbanization is what people are proud of |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Jonraid(m): 10:41am On Nov 21, 2019 |
Do we use that to finance our budgets? vaxx1: Go and do the number crushing..... compared what your country owes with what it produces, that is the debt-to-GDP ratio.. |

I'm sure Florence is more organized! Don't talk about toilets. You are not so good there! Open defecation is more of a problem in Nigeria than in most African countries! samorobo: Having your roofs rusted having lasted and survived through the colonial times cannot be called slum...This are actual houses with toilet, bathrooms and multiple rooms...should they change the roof will you call it slum....roofs in Florence depicts a pure wide range of brown coloured roof..can you also call that slum? |

South African cities are better managed in SSA when compared to most cities in other African countries, that is true urbanization. In Kenya,we have some slums in cities in Nigeria we have Slumburnization (over-urbanization). theenchanter: anything to disagree, typical rvp mentality.
Ok, SA's urban rate is 60%, is that also "over-urbanisation"? Don't give me wacky reason why u have 25% urban rate, pls.
Yeye person.

So what are our figures compared to yours which are better? vaxx1: You still don't get it , Your tax to revenue is what matter not the amount of net revenue you are taking cus the The excess may be for interest payments . just as we see in your case, must of your revenue are for loans contracted or bonds issued by yoir lender ( AkA) the Chinese.... The excess you arw getting in value of your revenue is used to services debt not on reserved . The overall back up to stability of your income depends largely on the reserve of your country. which is far bad compare to Ghana... |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Jonraid(m): 10:09am On Nov 21, 2019 |
What is happening in Nigeria and Ghana is over-urbanization and not necessarily the type of urbanization you'd see in European countries. theenchanter: if ur country is 87% arid as u purported, then it should have high population density cos most people will live in fertile and coastal area, then u'll have high urban rate, just like Egypt... but no, that's not d case.
Where people live in kenya is 1/4 urban and 3/4 rural... i mean where people live is only about 25% urban while about 75% is rural... dont bring ur arid this, arid that my lane.
Ur country is hugely rural!
U should be d one to study demography cos i don't even see its usefulness here... |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Jonraid(m): 9:50am On Nov 21, 2019 |
For a country that is 87% arid? Yeah, I think the population should be densely populated ? Right ? Less population density means less urbanisation, get that. You need to study the geography of population(demography). You are so thick headed. theenchanter: Ghana is also a small nation, smaller than urs by population but still had a bigger urbanisation than kenya.. shut ur trash jor. Reason i always say ur development is based in small portion of ur country.
I know u'll still call it cooked |

Provided that they are no parties that would remit that profit abroad. If multinationals run your cocoa/tea industry then you won't get to have much of those revenues/profits. theenchanter: and if cocoa is sold by Ghanaian or Nigerian farmers, all the revenues won't benefit their citizens alone?
U see why i always tell u guys to go slow on cow blood? U always think kenya is in changri-la and others are just d usual african countries. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Jonraid(m): 9:40am On Nov 21, 2019 |
Here! Mkenya2019: I don't say cooked without demonstrating the cookery if you will. Start with your cooked agriclutural sector.
Yes Nigerian bought new 23 VW POLO in one year - that is very embarrassing - so embarrassing VW project they will sell more VW POLO in Rwanda than Nigeria. VW Polo is an entry vehicle...that cost new around 14K USD inclusive of taxes in Kenya.
Satellite imagery? Dude, I know a lot about Image Analysis having spent part of my life as GIS expert. Kenya you have to understand is not evenly settled like say Nigeria or any other arable country. Kenya has very small corridor that is arable and hold like 80% of the population....the rest of kenya is wilderness.
So if you're going to analyse Night Light - please learn to superimpose settlement ( population density)

There was a case of phantom FDI's and we now have a case for phantom revenues. Country A might have sold oil worth 5 billion dollars but this sum has to be shared along many parties in the end the tax man of country A gets to only walk away with 2 billion dollars. Export revenues are good when you don't share a lot with foreign investors or parties. If a Kenyan farmer union sold avocados worth let's say 10 million dollars, all of that cash as revenue will benefit Kenyans and Kenyans alone. Mkenya2019: Precisely. Considering they are not feeding on gold or diamond or aluminum or oil ...the exports is all in vain - economic wise. That is why Africa countries need to really diversify their economies from minerals and build robust domestic economies. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Jonraid(m): 9:22am On Nov 21, 2019 |
Forget about the figures,I was trying to prove that high export revenues may not necessarily mean high revenue collection from the tax man. theenchanter: just imagine this one too, see the thrash he's saying.... seems y'all have already inherit rvp's traits. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Jonraid(m): 8:53am On Nov 21, 2019 |
What has changed much from that? You might be getting 17 billion dollars as export revenues but your revenue body collects less than 10 billion dollars from the economy. Just because you sell much doesn't mean that you collect much. For Kenya, this is so different. We get six billion plus as export revenues but our revenue body is on road to collect 20 billion dollars as total government revenues. Your gdp per capita is nothing but a product of high exports,I just realized that you collect child sums revenue for your own budget. vaxx1: Don't be ignorant dude , you present simple calender year as evidence and it is even against time and date . Be logical enough to know each financial year or calender can change the whole economical history ... And at that , the army first two quater were impressive. you may need to do the Google... |

And may you never know if we exist ! You are a developing nation, not developed! psychologygh: very funny with how a drought infested famine cursed Turkana,Alshabab terrorist prone country , mountain climber, slum infested country is talking about refugees with the most peaceful and most stable nation in Africa. Your sex slaves are being sold online to Kuwait, Oman,Lebanon etc and your men as hungry as stick to the extent that they commit suicide more than any people in the continent. What's your suicide rate.Hungry idiots Turkana ghosts like you.
The Ghanaians outside the country are majority professionals, students, workers who are exposed and contribute billions of dollars of remittance into the country which is third largest in the continent after Nigeria and Egypt. Do you know the number of diaspora US of all nations have.At least their nation is the greatest nation buh they still find opportunities out there in other nations.
Stop disgracing yourself by telling us our history cos you look very dumb.Nkrumah overthrown in 1966 and JJ being president in 1981.
Tell me how these two stories correlate. Are a you that dumb not to realise that they are two different eras and one never knew or met the other.Nkrumah died in the 70s and JJ was just a junior soldier by then.JJ had a Ghanaian mother, born, raised and stayed in Ghana all his life, speaks three different Ghanaian languages, all his life saw himself as a Ghanaian, never met his dad,got into the air force, won the best pilot, planned a coup, was arrested,Ghanaians started a revolution and broke him out of prison, toppled a military government, instituted democracy and handed over power, till then Ghana never looked back.
That's how you guys learn about us in your schools buh we don't even know if Kenya exist.Ghana now is rated among the most progressive and most developed nations in Africa.Hunger does not kill our people. Our free and effective policies makes our human development index always ahead of your Drought infested country and will beat you in all economic indices.
Our 17 billion dollars exports dwarfs your 5 billion export country with foreigners owning all your tea industry and lands. Terrorists will continue to torment your hungry souls.Stupid Kiberian slum monkey like you rats. |
