It seems that someone is taking things to the heart and avoiding the elephant in the room! No Kenyan has said that we are numero uno in every field, the giants of Africa or sort,rvp2018 has been mentioning where you guys should really be! He has shown you the ranking, you shouldn't be competing with us in some aspects. We have gone along admitting that we are no world beaters. No Kenyan here is arrogant to admit our own country's shortcomings! The truth of the matter is,the blacks in SA got a raw deal there AND THAT'S THE FEELING ON THE GROUND.It seems that you are heading towards believing that our economy is run by Indians and Europeans just like the Nigerians.Well go on and mention this Indians,Europeans and their companies.Mention the stakes Kenyans have in the economy compared to the whites and the Indians you are mentioning.Come up with the computations and convince us if you are truthful! Runalong333: We know this is your little attempt at trying to generate black South Africans, just like you have been trying to do to other Africans and you keep on embarrassing yourselves. Malema was born in the 80s and is a graduate of UNISA which is even rated better than some of your own Universities , and Zuma does not have any degree so I don't understand what you were getting at by mentioning him. Yes , they had unknown schools because they were badly funded for sabotage , duh!. I'm starting to suspect that some of you are paid from outside of Africa to post here , you are too out of touch with African realities including those of kenya lol. Actually we have heard of them , that is why some leaders in Africa studied there silly . You have been glorifying white privilege all over the place , and we are called the white worshippers by you Kenyans . Nigerians have pride , not this silliness. How many white South Africans went to these Universities compared to the majority who didn't even have grade 12 certificates ?. The South African universities were mainly meant for the privilledged not everyone , read and learn and stop reasoning with your changa drinking anus. You mentioned those whites, where are their Kenyan black counterparts ? . They achieved all of that after you are independent and able to attend " your world class universities " , why are you not on par with them?. Nigerians would never delude ourselves , white South Africans had a head start from all blacks in Africa, not even one black country has been able to compete with them favourable. Where are the Shuttleworths of kenya ? . Why are is your manufacturing dominated by Indians and the British even after going to the same schools as you for 55 years ? . Why are almost all the multi- nationals headed by white people and a few ceremonial heads if you all are better educated than most Africans?. It seems all this education you are bragging about is only benefiting the none blacks , because we hardly see any positives from the black Kenyan populace , all we see is the increase of their slums and starvation. Nigeria with our coup and wars , we are dominate everything in our country unlike you loud mouths who think degrading trying Africans will somehow elevate you to something you are not. No wonder you once said your dream is to be like whites lol. That alone made me suspicious about you and your intention here , i doubt any self respecting black man would say that. We can only take you serious when you end starvation , poverty , diseases , non- black economic domination, and produce a better middle class and rich people who are mainly black. For now, you are some pained oppressed blacks who want to drag others down to your hopeless level. Move over and let the real owners of kenya talk . Yes , you admire anything that has white involvement we know . Just like some Europeans take Kenya tourism and development because serious, because they can see the obvious British domination and leadership . Give those British pigs less power over your economy and let's see how fast Kenya ratings will go down , we all know how it works . The more whites get more food than the locals, the better the country is perceived. South Africa is not favourably because they are changing that , Kenya is the new love child , and guess what the slums will continue to grow for the indigenes and the foreigners wi be getting richer . |

With the mediocre leaders we have it seems that the 'poorer' Kenya can brush off shoulders and sit on the same table with the supposedly economic powerhouses of Africa without even trying much! Kenya is like that clever but lazy school boy who get's a B- grade everytime. If only this boy knows his true worth and starts working hard then he'll be a force to be reckoned with! Meanwhile, let us go stealth on our development agenda only for our African counterparts to look back and see that we are almost equals now. That would be a shocker for them! rvp2018: I think South Africa need to fix their education - they seem to be competing with a way poorer kenya - at least according to GEF 2017-2018 1) South Africa 2) Kenya 3) Nigeria - the laggards http://www3.weforum.org/docs/GCR2017-2018/05FullReport/TheGlobalCompetitivenessReport2017%E2%80%932018.pdf |

Bantus mainly practiced farming, hardly a question this is! There was no reason for them to own the vast arid and semi arid Northern Kenya! They chose only the green places! Nowenuse: What is tribe? Why do Bantus have the smallest landmass with the largest population in Kenya? Can you explain that?

Breaking that barrier to the developed world requires no mistakes. Brazil has stagnated at this point for a longer period of time.Hosting a world cup,the olympics and being one of the world's top air-plane manufacturers just haven't gotten the brazil to this developed 'status' Seems SA would have to come up with a strategy to get back to a growth of 5% or more if they want to escape this trap.To make that next leap of becoming a developed nation, you must have a GDP per capita of not less than 25000 US dollars. This is not an easy fit.I can't see SA reaching here in the near future unless miracles happen! https://www.investopedia.com/updates/top-developing-countries/ rvp20182: You're describing marginal utility with lots of words but what ails South Africa is the Middle Income/Class trap.Very few countries ever transition to developed world.Think of the whole of Latin America and only Chile seem to have escaped..likes of Mexico are stuck.South Africa needs to become a developed world and that a Herculean task. |

Thanks for your insights. However by this climax,I didn't mean total perfection but rather a country's highest level of growth it can achieve within a longer period of time.Like to put a question, can the US economy grow at 10% at this times? This 10% for the US is nearly impossible currently speaking! Yobeezy: No any country will ever reach the economic climax or maturity including the world's largest economy US itself because that means they have reached full employment levels which has never happened in any country before cause for other economic sectors to run market equilibrium levels needs to be arrived at despite almost reaching the excess production capacity. So a country like RSA has almost produced what it should have in the economy therefore it has to cut down production at some point to maintain the economic equilibrium levels hence slow growth rate of national output. |

Most probably a deal has been signed not only on the minerals(oil, gas, coal and others) but also on other critical areas such as agriculture, blue economy, energy, people to people relations and governance! tlann: they signed a gas deal |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Jonraid(m): 6:23pm On Nov 21, 2018 |
Is this the 'economic climax' I'm talking about? Yobeezy: Well as for me I think South Africa has almost or nearly exhausted most of its economic sectors but not all because the production levels in the economy is almost excess to reach the brim of a country's production capacity thus the national output growth inform of GDP will lower down,SA has already filled the gap of economic pushing factors like infrastructure, technology and good governance at some point and so they don't need to spend much on these while developing countries like Kenya,Ethiopia,Nigeria etc needs to invest more of them so as to maintain the market equilibrium levels because consumption rate is higher than the production rate. As for South Africa's case,I think production rate tends to equalize the consumption rate since most of their economic sectors have been highly utilized making production capacity to be relatively lower because its almost achieving it's excess production capacity,it's the same economic phenomenon that happens inin developed economies like US,UK etc That's why the GDP growth rate of south Africa tends to be lower as compared to developing countries. My point though. |
