Martians! Kazikazi: |
You are arguing with beings having a low IQ. Goodluck in your endeavour ! Lionessza6: |
The KCSE exams tests you to the marrow. Our standards are high no doubt. When I go back to the Kenya forums or just Facebook groups made up of Kenyans, you see people reasoning out stuff so maturely and this get's you to say,''We have the brains" A Kenyan form two student would do well in Nairaland,I'm sure they would think the form two from Kenya is a University student! Don't Nigerians have debates in their schools, write essays,go for academic trips and stuff? They just seem dumb. It's only that forgiveness guy who has tried to present his case well but has failed! Others would just call you stupid and write nothing of substance.Just from the posts you can tell this one is a Nigerian and this one a Kenyan. When this thread was at like 1000 pages, there were some few Nigerians who would really post issues and we would thoroughly tussle with facts.I just don't know where they dissapeared to! It seems that they too couldn't handle the heat from us! rvp2018: |
This thread is not primarily a 'culture thread' So,you wouldn't see much of Kenya's culture posts here! ednited: |
It's easy. You steal like 200 million from every billion and still do a fantastic job with the 800 million balance! ![]() People will still see your work and acknowledge you as a workaholic governor. In the end, that's how politicians play us all! Yobeezy: |
I think you settled this with rvp2018. And the clear winner was seen. But your brains have always been small to pick whose ahead of the other. We ranked higher at 25 in retail, higher than you.We showed you how your telecom sector isn't really making the money commensurate with it's population and even GDP.In the banking sector, your bank assets don't just seem to match that big good for nothing GDP.Our numbers are really solid per capita wise. This is our point.Take it or leave it.It seems Yemi Kale has really done your heads that your thinking has been limited. You just don't see the broad scope of things. When Kenya has 3 x,Nigeria with that GDP and population shouldn't be having 4x or 5x but rather 9x or slightly more! We are talking of a 350 billion GDP that should be showing more not slightly less to Kenya or worse! forgiveness: |
Devolution should have been there since independence in my opinion. It has been transformative in the sense that we are opening up new investments at the grassroots levels in a much quicker pace than before. I've personally felt it but just like the World Bank says,we need to strengthen it.Going forward,I need to see the economic blocks made up of various counties doing big things. On the other side of the coin,it has been controversial in the idea that it has devolved corruption and lead to over-representation. However,I always choose to remain an optimist, devolution to me is one of the cogs that we needed for our growth and prosperity. I need to see more funds channelled towards strengthening devolved governance. Overall to me just like the way a Kenyan would put it,devolution has been a gamechanger. It's the best thing to have come since sliced bread. If we strengthen it,we will reap much from it without a doubt! Yobeezy: |
My Nigerian lass says it every time bantudra: |
We just came here to debunk what Nigerians see themselves as.We are here for the banter! This is not to say that Kenya is near to the gods, but the message we are passing across is that Nigerians are the biggest cheats! What makes it sweeter is that it's a Nigerian who started this thread! We are only buttressing his points! |
Your English is perfect. It's not like its pidgin or something! ![]() Lionessza6: |
Kenyans are more informed, well a majority of us are.We just don't go around making ignorant statements.I can't wake up one morning thinking that all Nigerians are Igbos and look like such! Kur17: |
And that's what I've meant by "revamping" Wouldn't mind some English schooling if I'm still on the wrong! Lionessza6: |
It's nice seeing that you are now revamping your technical education. As a matter of fact,we are doing the same.We were nearly plunging into a degree crisis(many Kenyan students were on a white collar job courses,Universities were preferred as technical institutions struggled with the numbers) but we have beaten the problem and made technical education the 'thing' right now.The economy needs those who will be doing the dirty work, glad that the government saw this and intervened. https://www.nation.co.ke/news/education/State-to-enroll-1-million-students-in-technical-colleges-/2643604-4676206-9yotrp/index.html Lionessza6: |
Here is the information about Kenya's tribes and its demographics https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Kenya https://venasnews.co.ke/2016/02/10/list-of-kenyan-tribes/ ednited: |
Even though there is the 'urban poor' case.Counties in Northern Kenya are the ones leading in poverty rates(we ought to do better here!).Well,I didn't know being a pastoralist with like 500 heads of goats and cows means you are poor. But let's leave it at that. It's not how much you spend in education that makes the difference,it's how you do your things. It looks like we might school you a bit when it comes to ironing up your education sector. There are some few lessons you can learn from us! https://www.biznews.com/africa/2018/03/05/south-africa-kenya-education-schooling https://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/compare/Kenya/South-Africa/Education Lionessza6: |
‘A flawed metric’ “Unfortunately, [the doctor-to-population ratio] is a flawed metric,” The ratio doesn’t reflect the geographical spread of doctors or whether they are in private of public practice. And not all doctors are able to provide the same service, as some may be specialists. forgiveness: |
Is that the best you could have come up with? 4kDdullard: |
When they just begin to take those farms, whether by diplomacy or force. The first thing is that the stock exchange market activities would fall down like a house of cards within a few minutes.Investors are very sensitive to a country's stability.Huge monies would later be sucked off from the bank coffers of the country as the wealthy stash their cash in safe havens. No one would risk it keeping his/her money when things are in mayhem. That's how things goes,I hope this won't be the scenario in SA! I think they'll engage with a consultancy firm with a reputable experience in such matters so as to not make things more murkier! An economy can fall within days, literally! |
You using 'lads' is the coolest thing today! TayserMahiri: |
Boko Haram says hi! 4kDdullard: |
If its by swimming,I'm afraid that's going to be a long swim! You might as well ask our West African brothers how they do it! Lionessza6: |
If Injera and Anjera correlate then I can say that I've taken the meal. There are Ethiopian restaurants in Nairobi BTW,maybe I should go there? It seems that Injera is a household name in the horn of Africa, including here in Kenya.Have you personally taken some Injera? ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1exTIxVkaE?t=65 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLfcaMSgyPQ?t=1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xjx5kjR2vc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Np82kB2xIAU?t=2 rvp2018: |
A fifty fifty arrangement would be much safer, the lands not in use by the white farmers might also be repossessed back.Taking all of it from the white farmers would be a huge gamble. The continuous growing of the economy is one thing and satisfying the black masses in expense of the economy is another.Anyway, they should come up with a win win plan for all or else risk taking their economy down on a downward trajectory! TayserMahiri: |
As the world moves towards less fossil fuel driven economies. I don't know where Nigerians would stand! At that time, governments would be using more of cleaner sources of energy! Dubai and Saudi Arabia are already planning to cut their reliance on oil! Nigeria should diversify more than they have now because let's face it,oil still contributes significant amounts of revenues for them. They may say that they are a diversified lot but up till now, when the oil price per barrel changes the economy goes with that change! rvp2018: |
Every president in Kenya was keen to leave behind a legacy, you know? The presidents want to stand up one day long after retirement and brag that they did this or that,I find this cool by the way! The man Uhuru Kenyatta is also keen to have that long lasting legacy.I'm afraid he will have to do much. But with the right moves,he will do it! The 'legacy talk' is so big that even the media are doing it.They are discussing what the president might be remembered for when he leaves his office! The president was wowed when a young girl student asked him about his legacy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VArrcUZ_U5k?t=36 Lionessza6: |
I know a Somali food known as Anjera and yes Injera is a player of Kenya rugby,he's either number one or two in the number of all tries scored in the rugby seven series.I'm yet to know what Injera means! But I'll find it out just for you ednited: |
Nigerians have a thing with dark skins, maybe they find it ugly. Seems everyone is either lightskin or white in Nigeria! ednited: |
The Kenya Rugby fans The best in the world! All nationalities would love sitting at the Kenya fans section in the stadium because we are 'cool' Sitting with the Kenyan fans is 'priceless' ![]()

Kenya Rugby Rugbeh! Rugbeh! Rugbeh! Picture one and two showing them lifting the president. Buhari would have died of heart attack if same was did to him!

Keep the jokes coming! samsobo24: |
Even Mariakani,a small town along Kenya's highway has a better station than that which you've posted! Nairobi does not need a BRT model transport system. It just needs commuter trains. We are putting emphasis on trains instead of buses! samsobo24:
