Haba. Are you saying it is better we'd kept EV? I never thought I'd see this day. That post up there or that article should be taken lightly. As much as we know, Messi and Sarabia might have been having a normal discussion. This is just media putting out what is not there because we're currently not in the right state.
Judging a coach, that came in during the season is not fair. I'm not supporting Seiten but I can't judge him just how many months into the job, without even a full transfer window. Even EV was given 2 years abi 3. In as much as we didn't get a favourable result on Saturday, we actually played well, better than some of our recent games. Let's just agree say na because say Madrid dey top na why you go even think say e better make EV dey.
No ooo.. You are getting it wrong, I never said EV should remain, I'm only saying EV self no worse like this when he first came in. Zizou came in January and won the Champions league that same season, Enrique in his first season didnt get it right until January when the messi for suarez switch happened. So January to June is a lot of months really. There's a reason Sieten was number 5 on the list of probable managers to take over. He was a mid table manager at best.

Oh yes we did play well on Saturday before coaching decisions cost us the game. Emphasis on Coaching decisions.

I don't support the idea of the players chasing him out, it will just feed into the egos of these players that they can do whatever they like and it will be the club that suffers it.

I'm in for giving the coach chance to prove himself, 6 months is not really adequate, besides, about 3 of the 6 months was spent on the corona break. But with all this news coming out, I think his time is up. We can't have a coach that the players don't respect.
Player power is in these big clubs really. Drogba, Lampard, Terry always controlled the dressing room in their time, if they don't like you thats the end. Its the same power Casillas, Ramos, Ronaldo et al had at Madrid and same goes for Messi, Pique, Busquets and Fatty Suarez(due to his by force friendship with Messi). Big Players determine the longevity of a coach. It was always said that Messi and Enrique really didnt see eye to eye but Messi did deliver, infant i can almost say Messi never really liked any coach except Tata but truth is he did deliver. So Messi must have a reason for disliking Sieten and his ideas and if it means Sieten and his loud mouthed assistant should go then so be it.

Sieten has absolutely no authority, even EV wasn't this bad. Asking Suarez twice in two different games if he's tired and wants to come off like what nonsense is that. We need a proven manager to tame these players and if we have to get a rookie it has to be Xavi who knows them in and out.

Who has seen some clips of Messi shunning the Ass. Coach and Rakitic fuming at another coach during the match against Celta?

I would have taken it as normal stuff, but there has been reports of players having issues with the Coach.

I wouldn't be surprised. Players power play is just too much at Barcelona, especially when they don see Coach wey never win any trophy for him life. SMH
Yeah, let them use player power to chase him out abeg, he's not good enough, he's had 6 months with these lads and no improvement, Nothing.
EV never had any trophy before and in his first season Messi was already looking out for him. If you have it you have it. Sieten no get anything abeg

Yes we can always buy, but how has the buying helped us? It will help us better if we allow our current set of midfielders grow together.
Barring any great misfortune, Madrid have a great project on their hands because all their youngsters are growing together.

I feel you have forgotten some of the times he put up great performances. That boy dominated Kroos and Modric during one el classico oh.
I understand this really but it's not overtime we can get a Xavi and Iniesta who grew up together and played together, midfielders/players are always changing and subject to the coach. Tottenham players have been playing together for years and have nothing to show. Its not always a straight line graph really. The flip side is Sieten said this morning that the club haven't informed him of any of such deal.

I can still remember him against Tottenham in London, where those Tottenham workhorses couldn't come near him.

Of course, we won't miss him now, because he hasn't reached his full potential. But we will surely miss him later. Clubs are stocking up young players with different skillset and nurturing them, with the hope that they become world beaters. Look at Madrid, no Matter the nonsense Vinicius plays, he is still a regular, because they know he has potentials and he is improving. Once he is able to get right his finishing, then he will be a complete terror to opponents.

That is what we should do with Arthur. He is already contributing more goals now and he should only get better. Midfielders of his mould are not easy to get these days.
To further butress my point, look at this pass by Puig, he passes the ball with purpose, always looking for space, that's the way it should be really. Not saying Puig is better than he is I'm only saying we expected way better from Arthur.
Arthur just appears too basic for my liking.

We've been watching football for so long to know that if you have it you have it. Arthur is 23 and in his 2nd season in Europe. What he has we can get it in Dejong without stress. Puig will do similar if he gets a full season with the first team and a run of games in his legs. We were sad when Alena, Malcom, Munir, Charles, Cucurella and several others but trust me none of them would be missed like Neymar. If you have it you have it.
Barca is a big club and can always buy players of his quality. The only issue is how poorly run Barca is.

This is not entirely true. When Arthur came, aside from being press resistant, he also made the midfield fluid with his passes. A player that offers nothing can't just become a fan favourite like Authur was in his first season.

He was already improving his offensive parts of his game, by giving more incisive passes in the 18 box and even scoring wonderful goals until his injury.

I don't know what went wrong for him, but the complacency of the entire squad would have contributed to him losing form. Get that guy a good coach and a team with good movements and see him do wonders.
Hes good no doubt but the love for him is based on the potential he has, not actually based on performances. I'm sure you can't give one game off the top of your head that Arthur was exceptionally good in except that long range shot he scored that caught the keeper unaware earlier this season. Trust me he won't really be missed.
I love him really, I really do but I'm not angry at the SALE, I'm angry at how he was sold and what we got afterwards.

So you guys are not going to rant about swapping Arthur for Pjanic? Wasn't the guy supposed to be the next Xavi? Whoever is in charge of transfers at Barca must be smoking dogshit.
Whereas Im angry with the deal but Arthur is nowhere near Xavi, he's midfielder round about at best, just turninonunown every time.
Arthur offers little to no creativity, no flair, his best ability is being press resistant and thats useless when we play teams that parks the bus which we face 90% of the time. No creativity can't take you anywhere as a controller.

Very stupid move still by the board for swapping a 23 year old for a 31 year old, I'll have preferred a straight sale for 80m but then Bartomeu ET Al have decided to ruin Barça before they hand over.

Atletico is 6th on LA Liga table, there's absolutely no guarantee they are going to qualify for next season's champions league yet they just beat the best team in the EPL at home.

Best league in the world indeed.

We started the season with 6 attacking players.
Agreed.
Then We started January with 3 fit Players, loaned out Perez and Ruiz, heavily relied on Dembele to be back when he isn't even a striker, scrambled to sign Bakambu only to tell him at the airport we don't need him anymore, tried causally to sign Moreno from Valencia yet reluctant to pay his release clause. Now we are apparently going to sign Braithwaite who can only play in the league and not the Champions league. It's a comedy club really and I'm very disappointed in Abidal.

Bully? Will Barcelona get the player for free? The player has a release clause. If anyone is willing to meet the requirements of the release, the club has no objection. When PSG activated Neymar's release clause, would you also say Barcelona was bullied? This is business bro.
@LaMujer has adequately responded bro, they can't get a replacement, the rule allowing any club sign a player mid season in the league is BS. A big club like Barcelona should have been prepared for all possibilities instead of having just 3 fit attacking players with one of them being a broiler starter (Ansu Fati).
Its poor from Barcelona but then so far the guy go ball, why not if not. grin grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by jonsnow92: 10:26am On Feb 18, 2020
LaMujer:
Ali Dursun, the agent of Leganes forward Martin Braithwaite, is believed to be in the city of Barcelona to negotiate the player's transfer to Barcelona to replace Ousmane Dembele.

Given the length of Dembele's injury, Barcelona have been granted permission to make an emergency signing and Braithwaite is the player they're currently looking at.

That was reported by Mundo Deportivo earlier on Monday, before RAC1 broke the news of the player's agent being in the Catalan capital.

Dursun has worked with the Blaugrana before, as he is also the agent of Frenkie de Jong.

Barcelona have 15 days to sign a player, but they want somebody sooner rather than later so that they can start working with Quique Setien and so that they can be available for the weekend's match against Eibar.

At Leganes, they will only let the 28-year-old player depart if his release clause of 20 million euros is paid.

If the Braithwaite option doesn't come to fruition then Barcelona know they also have the possibility of signing Angel Rodriguez from Getafe and Los Azulones may even be willing to negotiate on the terms of the transfer for the striker who has a release clause of 10m euros.
It's an annoying scenario really and it epitomises the loopholes in the running of laliga. Now Barcelona can bully legates into selling their most prized asset irrespective of them fighting relegation and more worse is the fact that they can't sign a replacement for Braithwaite either so indirectly we might be sending Leganes to relegation because of the ineptitude of Abidal, Bartomeu and the league itself.
