With Hindsight, what was the job of Matheu Lahoz as the Video Assistant Referee in the clasico that he couldn't call for a booking for Ramos' flying elbow on Messi.. There was clearly intent in that challenge.
Even if the Ref on the pitch didn't see it, its the VAR's Job to call for that incident to be reviewed as it was clearly cynical.

Laliga won't cease to amaze with terrible refereeing.

Valverde was spot on today..

Also my main fear is the ball movement.. Barça's game has always been about quick movement of the ball with quick thinking players.. The ball isn't moving fast enough and so it's difficult controlling the game throughout so the next thing is to return default setting which is pass to Messi.

Quick ball movement will solve this issue short term.

Watched this on CNN the morning..It's sad really, the boy can't enjoy his normal life anymore, can't go to school nor play with his playgroups..The talibans think messi would have given him lots of money and as such they want their share.

Only prayer would be for Messi to see the report one way or another and get him and his parents out of Afghanistan asap.

The reason Coutinho keeps starting is because there is no one else to play that wing, Malcolm can't cross from the left wing, all his football is cut in from the right, but he can't play there because that's Messi's wing, Messi entering the middle is to create overloads through the middle and with his passing range he is better in the middle or from his wing.

Imagine talk, play Semedo as a left winger, what kind of football do you watch man?
Do you know that more space is on the wings with less people to dribble from there yet Messi chooses to operate often from the middle behind the other two forwards, he is also effective from there too. Even if it was Valverde that told them to sometimes play in some sort of 3 5 3 formation with the central midfielders in a diamond beside Messi who is behind the two forwards, una go complain.

After Watching the game against Bilbao again, its clear Valverde isn't the way forward. he would rather die than substitute Suarez, Someone here said Boateng is a back up..What the hell does a back up mean if its not to play in place of the misfiring "first choice"..You signed Boateng, then play him..He cant be any worse than Suarez really.

Valverde also will rather give Coutinho 1000 chances to somehow magically proove he's a Barca Player when clearly he's out of sorts and form. A more refined and attack minded coach wouldn't start Phil at all, he would have started Malcom(since dembele isn't fit) and Semedo on that left side.. At least there'll be serious threat coming from the left. it took Forever for EV to make subs.

Messi will get too crowded in the middle because the midfield is trash.. The middle zone is Messi's zone but he can't do anything if he doesn't have players, technically gifted players to play with. Teams know all they need to do is to crowd Messi out in the middle, one player bodies him while another gets the ball..Repeat over and over and the same thing will happen.

Also Alba is our 2nd most important player this season..Extremely important..second only to Messi really.. He hasn't played 8 matches this season and we only won 2 of those games (both against cultural leonesa)...It's a shame we don't have a credible replacement nor has his contract been renewed.This isn't the Barcelona i fell in love with.

The performance last night has to be the last of its kind, the players were too close together, no runs, Alena came in and was overwhelmed too, kept passing to Roberto repeatedly,

If we have this kind of performance again this season then thats the end of our aspirations really.
