My short advice is; Never try to learn web programming if you are not yet mature in web designing! Many star confuse these two thing (web programming and web designing).

Above is what I call the wrong approach, follow the right approach thus;
1) Start learning WYSIWYG editors such as: Komposer (Download here: http://kompozer.net/) or SiteSpinner (Download here: http://www.virtualmechanics.com/)
2) Start learning Mark up languages/code such as HTML, CSS, PHP, JS, etc See http://www.w3schools.com/
3) Learn CMS such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupla etc

This is my personal suggestion based on my experience. I hope it works for you!

This would have been easily done if you had a backup to ur website!

I have a daily backup of my database. So if I need to get data back I can go back to any particular day and get it from that day's db backukp.
There are several extensions that can do this for you!

Depending whether you are installing joomla on "Local" or "Live" server, the processes are pretty the same.
Let me assume that you are installing on a local server, proceed thus;
1) Download and install a server (WAMP or XAMP)
2) Donload Joomla in .zip
3) Extract the zip (joomla) into a folder in your server's root folder
4) Open your web browser (Explorere or Opera)
5) Type "localhost/name_of_folder_used_above" and hit enter on your key board.
6) Then follow the installation wizard,

This is an obvious problem of jumping into a new unstable CMS versions immediately it is released. For me. it is not long when I just migrated from J1.0 to J1.5 and never tested J1.6 or J1.7 (may till 10 years from now lol).
