Education / Masters Of Research With A Nigerian Bsc; How Feasible by josephni12: 9:50pm On Mar 16, 2019
I am currently a Nigerian undergraduate student in chemistry, although not in my final year. I am planing and hoping to do a Masters by research outside Nigeria when I'm done with my Bsc for two major reasons.
1)The ease of getting a fully funded scholarship
2) I would really want to do research in chemistry
However, I've not really heard of Nigerian students doing an MRes straight after School. I kind of don't know how feasible it will be considering Nigeria's educational system; cramming and pouring, much of theories, etc. Advice and Opinions needed from experience.

I want to apply for a masters by research in a good Australia university and would also want to apply for an RTP scholarship. Although am yet to start an official application or contact with a supervisor, I will to find out more about the scholarship in the following areas.
1) the possibility of getting the scholarship as an international student ( someone said they mostly consider Aussie citizens first)
2) any tips of getting the scholarship
3) any other financial obligations upon getting the scholarship eg( will one still require a sponsor to get a visa?) , (will the stipend be enough for a frugal student even if he/she decides not to work) etc.
