The way Dede uses it sounds like he's saying for the sake of

Sample examples would be:

Onye a biana afia taa, n'ifi na afia a diro taata. Nobody should come to the market today because there is no market today.

Onye a kpana nwa agu aka n'odu, maka na nna ya nwelu ike ino nso. Nobody should touch the tail of a tiger's cub because its father could be close by.

Maka ifi gi ka m jili biaba olu taata. Because of you I came to work today. (Literal translation. A proper translation in English would be, I came to work today because of you. Or M bialu olu taata maka ifi gi.)

Ooh you were using a negative command I thought u were using perfect tense. But thank you!
So from my observation could u use n'ihi when I want to say for the sake of something

Learning should never be discouraged. He may only know "maka" as because. After all there are differences from dialect to dialect
Thank you! That's exactly the case i used context clues to understand the sentence when I heard it used but I wanted some one to directly tell me what it is

'N'ihi na' is used to buttress a point or give further explanation to an earlier spoken statement. It simply means, 'because of'. Mainstream Anambra would say, 'n'ifi na'. A synonym for it in Igbo is, 'maka na'.

Sample examples would be:

Onye a biana afia taa, n'ifi na afia a diro taata.

Onye a kpana nwa agu aka n'odu, maka na nna ya nwelu ike ino nso.

Maka ifi gi ka m jili biaba olu taata.

Thank you for your comment and I understand it Now! and just to make sure I understood what I read could you please rewrite ur Igbo sentences in standard Igbo (izugbe) or English If you're not use to that

When he was listing all the artists like Mr Raw Bracket Flavour etc, why was he saying 'na 042' when not all of them are from Enugu

After saying icholiya there was another word he used just repeating those two words for the whole chorus. Do you know it?

If you say nnunu will people automatically assume your talking about hot chicks or can it still be used as 'bird'

Sorry for all the questions grin

They were born in Enugu that was his point we all know phyno and favour are straight from anambra immediately u listen to their music
But illbiss is truly an nkweree boy
And phyno is from Akwa while flavor idk and wait lmao. Mr.raw used to say ABIA
in his music

Icholiya is just phyno saying do you want it it's not really slang

In this context, it's more like 'a brave/fearless beast' or 'a hard-hearted animal' than 'a beast with a conscience'.
But now how do you apply this tho do you call somebody this when they're being a boss like

Exactly! Most of these artistes music is full of slangs.

These are a few:

Odieshi
Anu nwelu obi
Nkwanta - Skirmish/little shoving match
I chago kwa anya, i se go kwa ife?

Is odieshi like when people joke about bullets can't do them anything they say they have odieshi?

Cuz like in phynos song nnunu phyno says nnunu machawa Akwa anyi ga kupu there
What does kupu mean in that instance
But thanks a ton daalunu!
Radoillo:
A few I remember from my old hood (Enugu):

Ikpa owa -- to drive (especially expertly)

Ikpu Uzu -- bodybuilding, especially if it involves weight lifting (Literally ikpu Uzu refers to blacksmithing)

Gbawa door -- get out (Literally meaning: Kick down the door)

Kupu -- same meaning as 'Gbawa door'.

Ndi Asai -- mad people (Asai comes from assylum) 'Kupulu ndi Asai (as Phyno said on the track) means 'Stay away/Get away from mad people'.

Ndi Eke -- The police (literally 'python people' --- I don't know how they got that name)

Oringo - means 'fun'.

Ita mgbe/iñu mgbe -high school slang that means 'playing truant' or 'skipping classes'. Literally means 'eating/drinking time'.

Iku olu - to stop one's plans from succeeding. ('Ha cho k'olu m kuo' - they want my plans to fail [Phyno's line])

Ito isi - Means 'giving a girl oral'. tongue (Literally sounds like 'undoing braids')

Hopefully not.

I thought maybe he's an Igbo boy that doesn't speak Igbo? Iono

And the winner is.... Mrs phyno.
For goodness sake how in the world did I appear anti Igbo it's ridiculous how words can lose their meaning when transferred to another persons screen. I'm learning to speak Igbo atm. Well I wouldn't say I don't speak tbh. I'm comfortable speaking while asking for a word here and there but I don't know that much slang and listening to Igbo music doesn't help because I'll here what they say but I recognize it as a slang and don't know what it means. I think this happened because I took more interest in proverbs than slang so here I am asking Igbo
people to tell me some. And I just got called anti Igbo.

What do mbaise people talk like I've never met mbaise people in mbaise so I don't know what their dialect sounds like please educate me.
Please don't describe the sound but write a sentence that it's obvious it's them. Like Isi nini for owerri
Another question
Who tf are the people who started this whole thing of instead of using present continuos with na-a/e they just add a ga after the verb they've got me speaking like that sometimes but I wanna know who started that!
