webarse:Lovely idea bro, nothing to forgive, I think apart from lots of teenagers now on Nairaland I know there are lots and lots of average income and middle class people here especially on property and business section, this section is the serious part of nairaland not romance or celebrity. People with ideas don't really new need to reveal all, you can still conceal the main part of the business till you connect to someone that may be interested in investing. Ofcourse you have seen a couple of episode of shark tank, though some of them have their ideas on patent but still there are more without patent and they always share brief details about the business. I think it can happen on this platform.....lets be patient |
lol, maybe people dont have that much ideas or probably no enough traffic to the thread |
taryour:hmmmm, ok oo |
OK that's nice, we hope and wait for my views and comments |
just views, no comment?? lol |
The aim of the thread is to discuss the business idea here, am sure you have seen some episode of shark tank, lets discuss here, if any investor is interested, you guys can they take it private so others can learn a thing or two |
YEA, interesting, i hope people will plug into the idea or what do you think |
Hi nairaland, I recently stumbled on a programme on YouTube, it's called Shark Tank, am sure many people here must of watched it since something like that was aired in Nigeria a couple of years ago, I think Dragons Den was successful then but don't know when and why the programme was stopped. I'm thinking we may start something like that here on this thread where entrepreneurs, business minded men and women tell us about their business model, type, if and how they making profit in the business and have identified what they need in order for the business to be more successful or if they would like to expand the business. We also expect investors, especially young people that have legit means of livelihood to meet with the entrepreneurs, let's see if we can replicate those deals they make on shark tank. The watchword here is honesty, many people have the means(money) and many others have got ideas but no money to progress the business but if we can honestly connect money and ideas together I believe we can improve our economy. I also hope the thread can be pushed to get more traffic. So let's get the ball rolling, what ideas have you got? What business are you doing, how much do you need to expand and what percentage of the business are you willing to part in exchange for the required fund. Please remember you not soliciting for loan, just ask for how much you need and the percentage of the business you willing to part with. God bless Nigeria cc - lalasticlala Seun |
Thanks Mr Lastpage for the response, have asked some agents about it and all of them are claiming ignorance because they know no more agency fees and all that. The site is even showing less than 100permits have been completed so far which means many people are not aware. Online is the way to go wish they can do same for applying for c of o, governors consent etc without using all those fake agents and lawyer |
Morning house, does anyone know about the lagos state e-building plan permit? As anyone successfully completed process? Is it different from the old building approval we used to? It is called lagos epp |
Are the trucks still available? Do you have pictures?? |
Bro, you can start by working for free for some of the builders on this forum, there are a lot of them, follow up, offer free services, learn about practical building methodologies in Nigeria and from there you never know what can happen. Don't wait for someone to call you for an interview eventhough keep applying and keep praying. I know a lot of guys now into construction that didn't know jack about the profession few years ago, you at an advantage. Make use of it, the Lord is your strength |
Bros, this una camera na wa oo, do you really need to post these pictures No blur ou eyes abeg . Good progress though |
Welcome back Mr lastpage, we missed your colours ![]() |
What other fees are attached to each allocation? I know most estates one will pay some kind of fees before developing and lastly is it a dry land as in very dry and strong |
^^ so how do the manufacturers and importers store the product? Or you think cement is sold the same day it s produced? |
^^^, Yea if you got a means to prevent moisture your cement can stay as long as you want it to, Nigeria is currently producing more cement than we require so I don't think importing is a good idea now not even with the current forex crisis. Eventhough the manufacturers want to jack up prices but not this much; not sustainable, every other product in naija has increased lately so cement won't be an exception. |
The price will come down in a while, the increase is not sustainable |
Cement can be stored for as long as you want just make sure you don't allow any kind of moist to go near |
Lol then you guys can push it to the right thread, it was funny to me ni, no be me be Buhari wey cause hardship for una not to laff na ![]() |

USAutoBuy:Sir, how do you mean by diesel gen beats natural gas? Diesel is obviously more expensive than gas abi you get your own refinery ni? @Oga Egun, what's going to be the source of your natural gas for the gen abi NGC pipeline pass through your site? |
Land for ewekoro @500k |
@oga Ugo, why picking on only excuseme and not maverick, both of them should let us have peace jare; can't believe adult men can be exchanging banters continuously like this....na wa for una tot being in diaspora suppose to make one to be refined but it's not the case on NL. Shame |
NLresidentQS:Lol, I like your marketing strategy, keep it up bro ![]() |
Good one @NL1960, the QS should only give quantity of material and not price; my architect did something nice in my plan, he included the sqm for every part of the building, rooms, pantry, verandah etc, it has made estimate easy, for finishing stages one can easily know the quanity of tiles to buy, etc many of the workers charge per sqm so it will be difficulted to be cheated unless the builder doesn't follow the measurement in the drawing. Ofcourse for big projects, commercial buildings etc QS is a necessity |
So if I may ask sir, are you building currently and have you engaged the services of a QS? How much do they charge? |
@all, are you advising/advocating one employ the services of a QS personnel for a small private duplex? And I can see you including prices, is this advisable in our ever changing prices in the construction industry? |
danowena:Am with you on this sir, my house is full MDF in the kitchen with granite top and MDF stand alone wardrobe in the bedrooms, had plenty insects and ants in the kitchen for a couple of months when I moved in before eventually getting rid of them and I can tell you no effect whatsoever on the wood, still as clean as before |
noble71:Baba no go build house wey go collapse oo; irrespective of the clients taste that amount won't fly; don't cut corners, don't be too desperate....abi are you one of brabus protégé? ![]() |
noble71:Hmmmm, dem don come oo, 4m to finish a 4bedroom all ensuite |
babalose:OK sir, good and happy Sunday, project started last year January, Bosun estimated 6months for carcass which I don't think it's impossible within that duration. This is August about 18months after that means he has defaulted by 12months. Sir, what have you been doing about it for the past on year? I mean physically, offline... I went through your post I didn't see anywhere you castigated or spoke against nxthome why now? Why online? You need to do something about it. That money is not beans the economy is not smiling even the rich men are feeling it something drastic most be done asap, Bosun shouldn't escape this shyte this time. That chateau most come down. I hope he comes out to defend himself as he usually does........... |
