PoliticsRe: The Costly Designer Shoes Lai Mohammed Wore To Sambisa (Photos) by Jotter: 1:54pm On Jan 19, 2017
Nigerian blogger have come again oh, I have the black color of this footwear, the shoes cost $200, even here in the u.s, that's what most college and high school kids are rocking. Bloggers bringing people down for cheap traffic...karma is real

This our minister sure knows how to rock designer shoes.

Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, yesterday rocked Kanye West’s Yezzy Boost when he participated in a search sorties for missing Chibok girls in Sambisa forest

These northern minority tribes can be very very ugly. See as him black. Is there any woman that kiss that mouth? I swear he looks barely human and more like a shaved gorilla. She as him head and jaw thick and heavy. grin
Look at his dressing sef. Ugly, unstylish, crude and local nigga.
He will make more money acting horror films than being a Journalist because this one no need any makeup at all to future for these movies. I am sure he is of the Bura tribe and probably have a big, long schlong which is a future of the least human negroid races.

Why will this one be lazy? Does he have a woman that will miss him when he dies? He has nothing to lose na. If I look like him, I will sell myself into slavery if they will accept me
Do me a favor, go to the mirror and tell the person you see "I refuse to live a wanted life this 2017"
Come to think of it, if it was a person from any other country that said this you will be one of the first to yell.
Change your ways
EducationRe: Share Your Experiences As A Postgraduate Student In A Federal University! by Jotter: 8:34am On Jan 08, 2017
dangotesmummy:
you're right. Education is a pleasurable and enjoyable experience. You become eager to want to learn more.but Education in Nigeria has become more of let me do it so I can get a job not really an intrest to learn.as a matter of fact they kill your interest with frustrating and disrespectful experiences.

Professor supervisors yelling and talking down at their students is so unethical. If a student comes to a lecturer and say sir I don't understand the last topic you taught. Instead of saying my friend get out of my office OR go and read your books and say ok we will adress it.the person sef will feel encouraged to learn
the problem is that square pegs are usually placed in round holes.people who have no buisness teaching are professors.a teacher is supposed to be like a parent and not an aggressive toxic dictator
The only way to change this is to change the culture and mind set if the lecturers first, if this can be done, then put infrastructures in place and BOOM! You begin to see results, but we seem to be putting the cart before the horse, it does not work that way.
EducationRe: Share Your Experiences As A Postgraduate Student In A Federal University! by Jotter: 7:58am On Jan 08, 2017
You are totally right, am studying for my msc in the U.S, they are very practical, loving, passionate about their students and they teach not lecture, if u don't understand what they are teaching they are ready to go over it multiple times, I once called my prof about his course and he immediately organized an 1hour lecture with me at star bucks out of his personal time, how many Nigerian lecturers can do this? The diff here is that they lecture because they are passionate about wht they do, while in Nija most of them are there because of the money or they searched for a job but did not get any.
I remember the first time I met my course adviser at UNILAG, mehn, if u see as the man rubbish me eh! In my mind I was like was I married to you in your former life!
The point is if you study in any advanced country you will fall in love with education rather than see it as "make I just do graduate comot here" thing
Mille:
Don't be so quick to downgrade Nigerian universities.

I am an Erasmus Mundus student here in Romania and due to the broadness of my program, I do attend courses in many departments. But mostly with MSc agribusiness students.

In the MSc Agribusiness (Department of Economics) students here take a Statistics course that I have done back in FUNAAB at 100 and 200L and I can tell you most of them have no idea about it. The class makes me look like a very brilliant student because it's so easy for me and funny thing is I'm not offering the course and hate statistics but only attending it because I like the professor (I think she's hot and I like to see her face).

The professor for one of my courses hasn't even attended any of the classes. We don't have the lecture notes (He always promises to send them but never will). Exam starts in 2 weeks, I wonder what we're going to write or how we're going to be graded.

The differences is just that the intensity of courses in Nigeria is much higher but here it's much practicalized. You go on trips, sent on observation, perform case studies etc and you're basically seated in front of a WIFI computer in Classes and you better have good computer+Microsoft office skills.

Before in Nigeria, I was a shy student. But after 3 presentations/week in Romania, you can be rest assured the stage fright is gone. Also the classes are conducive and not too populated (Well, since only 20% attend the classes. I meet the other 80% in Pubs and Coffee shops and they introduce themselve as my colleague)

The red colors you used is too much, more The lettering and the border used for the latest news is okay, but I think you should change the font type for the news feeds and color as well. You also need to work on your mood board, because you have too many colors That don't compliment each other. Look up google fonts on how to combine font type and use the color wheel when choosing your font colors, i hope my little contribution helps you a lot. Kudos

chronique:
How did your wife handle the car? Maintenance is very important. Women aren't known to be the best handlers of cars. There are people driving hybrid cars and enjoying them. A car is as good as its maintenance. Have you ever wondered why it's in Nigeria that we usually condemn vehicles that performs elsewhere?
I don't know much about hybrid cars tho but as for Kia, I would disagree with you because I bought my Kia Rio brand new in 2004 and till date it has not given me issues, never broken down. More importantly I don't joke with maintenance and original spare parts
Jokes EtcRe: Man In Tears After Smoking The Best Weed Of His Life (video) by Jotter: 4:01am On Dec 05, 2016
You have no idea how much some of my yankee friends are craving for osogbo weed, in fact one of them is coming next year, and he said that weed is a must for him...he got the gist from one of his friends who came here during last summer of how dope our weed is ... oya osogbo weed ti take over
nmreports:
Let's be honest... That weed must have been so so so good to make him cry. He loved it. Thats the truth and he is thankful. I envy his joy.

But let's also be honest, he is not thinking right. Something has moved from its right place in his brain. Old man crying to express himself about how a particular weed feels so good.

I'm not convinced about his sanity.

Growing up I was taught to take responsibility for my actions no matter how bad it may be, chidima take responsibility for your actions.

Wow this is very appalling, well anything is possible in Nigeria. Then all gays and homos that have been caught and jailed in the past should be realsed given the same award as well. Smh

Hi guys. lol. more positive reactions. See as my pms full hahaha, Una don use style turn me to motivational speaker. Abeg o, I'm just sharing my experience. It's been great for me. All of una wey wan come my school lol There are hundreds of better schools na, no be compulsory make una come here. I just dey happy say I gain admission into this one. No more long posts. Another thing I noticed. The lecturers here are NOT "lecturers". They are your buddies. Them dey burst my brain and I never even meet them. I'll show you two mails: First from my course adviser then from that lecturer wey I say I famz, wey help me get the application waiver when I dey Naija.

Good morning,

I hope your trip went well. I will be in my office this afternoon. So if it is convenient for you we could set up a time to meet. We will need to do that before you can sign up for courses. My phone number is Bleep-Bleep-xxxx.

J

XXXXXXX,

First of all, welcome to the United States and to xxxxxxx! Second, I will be on campus shortly after lunch and will be there for most of the afternoon. I have a meeting at 1 PM (until about 1:30) but otherwise I would be available to meet you this afternoon. We can take a walk over to the Student Union and find a bus schedule (Bleep has its own bus system that goes all over xxxxxxx and is free for Bleep students). If you need help finding your way to the xxxxxx department (second floor of xxxx Hall), I can meet in you in the xx lobby.

Finally, I've just talked to my wife and we'd love to invite you over to dinner at our home tonight if you don't have other plans. In fact, until the semester gets underway and while you don't have things to keep you busy, you are welcome to spend free time with us. I'm not sure whether you have a phone for calling or texting, but here is my cell phone number: Bleep-Bleep-xxxx. My wife, xxxxx, wants me to give you her contact information as well. Her cell phone is Bleep-Bleep-xxxx and her e-mail address (cc'ed above) is Bleep@aol.com.

Looking forward to meeting you!

Sincerely.

These two mails may mean NOTHING to y'all but they mean everything to me. For the umpteenth time, it's my first time outside Nigeria, I only know about life in Unilag. See course adviser dey ask to meet me when e dey convenient for me. lmao, I remember my cursed adviser for unilag those years, you go wait tire for front of hin office and when him finally show. Him fit just tell you to come back later say him dey busy. Nothing wey you go do. Second email burst my brain. Na senior lecturer be that o. I told you there's no god to man sort of relationship here, lecturers dey do like person padi. The environment is just too relaxing. Again, I didn't get any Graduate Assistanships before leaving Naija but jobs dey here for campus. I'll write more about them when I have more info.

Finally, you can notice how excited I am and how I'm majorly focusing on the positives. It doesn't mean it's 100% smooth and rosy. It means I see my cup as half full instead of half empty. In life, you make your own luck. I have chosen to be happy, to enjoy life to the fullest and worry less about things, to try to fix things instead of remaining sad cos they're bad. You can PM others if you wanna read negative things about living in America, as for me. I am being optimistic and positive. God bless America! I have come here to succeed!
Congrats, attended Unilag as well they are truly cursed, will be in New York next Monday, I never even land the admission office don dey give me warm welcome ahead. But how did u sort out your accommodation cos the lowest I can get in New York is $750 for a single apartment cry that amount na die

Make una come celebrate with me, I just got my visa approved after the 1st attempt failed. My appointment was for 11pm, 5th August 2016. I prayed and seekers the face of God.
Here was I started my trip to the embassy cos of comfort I boarded the blue a.c loaded bet bus from ikorodu to cms, walked down to tfc marina to have a cup of coffe and sandwich cos I still had a few extra hours to spare. fast forward below is the conversation between i and the consular

Me: good morning ma
Con: dead silence on her path
Con: can I have your passport and i20
Me : here it is
Con: staring at my i20
Con: why did u choose TOURO college
Me: I chose TOURO because they offer both theoretical knowledge and practical experience more so I took a full review of their curriculum and I realized that 60% of the content is based on the areas I need to improve myself professionally
Con : how did u know about TOURO
Me: I knew about TOURO when I did an online search and I realized that TOURO had a high rating based on the student review which was 4.5 of 5 according to collegefactual.com
Con: what did u study in your undergraduate
Me: building technology
Con: then why are you changing courses now
Me: graphic deaigning and photography has been my hobby right from my secondary school day, so pursuing a degree in multimedia design will help me improve on the basic skill which I have in using
(At this point she was noodling in agreement with me, I just knew it was going to be approved) adobe illustrator , Photoshop, after effect and other softwares.
Con: congratulations your visa has been approved, you can pick it up in 3working days
Me: thank you ma.
(All this was just in 30seconds)

Guy the key here is Prayer to God, preparation and not entertaining fear. Good luck to those expecting there, hoping to hear good news from u all soon.

There is a government primary school right beside my house, and every Sunday students come there to play football, but yesterday they mistakenly played their football in our compound…here comes the interesting part of my story I have 6 dogs in my home 2 larsa and 4 boar bulls, with the help of my cousin, all I did was just to released one of the boar bull, and they all dispersed…. grin
