Taal17: I Time will tell the effect of puberty blockers when these children hit their 30s and older Puberty isn't just about your sex hormones it's about how your whole body grows into an adult, your bone density, brain function and other organs
It's just setting up kids for a future that medicine has no data on. Sigh It's sad and in some provinces, children don't even need the consent of their parents to take this huge decision |

njambert: No I'm not dreaming of a complete reversal, but I'm hoping for a PM who isn't a woke tom boy as Trudeau is. A PM who promotes traditional family values and that's what PP has been doing. A PM who clearly defines the two sexes as biology teaches, and not one who can't differentiate a man from a woman. A PM who doesn't join to match for gay parades. Not a PM who serves the interest of gay people than he cares for the needs of the average Canadian. A PM who wouldn't promote policies to have gay flags printed on crosswalks in the guise of fighting for minority rights. I'm hoping for a solid leader and not a sissy. I get you, it's obvious he wouldn't win in October, I guess that's why his party members forced him to step down so they could have a fighting chance |

njambert: What about the fact that once there's war, Canada brings in refugees that neighbouring countries could not take; from Afghanistan, Syria, Ukraine. That's importing. These have proven to be counter productive, time and time again. Or what about promoting degenerate sexual tendencies; including homosexuality, sexual reassignment surgeries, transgenderism, adoption by same sex couples, etc has got to do with right wing media? Why did you leave Nigeria for western countries if there aren't any desirable values that brought you here?
"You seem to forget that Trudeau govt is a coalition govt with the NDP (or so)"
Which explains my point. Trudeau has been under minority government and needed the NDP to get things done. If PP wins as the polls are showing, he will have the overwhelming majority and can more easily implement his policies. It's seems you moved here recently, read about Canada history, it's what they have always done irrespective of the Prime Minister from the days of giving Black Americans who were slaves at that time refuge, some of them are still in Nova Scotia till date, whenever US or some other country invades another country, Canada is always giving them that refuge, it should be balanced though because we're not the cause of any of these wars and shouldn't suffer it in anyway. Before you moved here you already know that Canada is pro lgbt, when Pollievre enters you would be dreaming if you think he would reverse any of those laws, something that has been in existence since 2005 and conservatives didn't bother, it's in 2025 that they would now change anything? As long as they remove children and teenagers less than 18, we're good. |

Chanting death to Canada doesn't make sense to me though even if you are born here no matter the reason
Which Christian values did they abandoned ? The one that made Leopold of Belgium to brutally maim and murder millions of indigenous people?
The one that made Germany killed thousands of people in Namibia and millions of Jews ?
The one that made French army to torture, and commit all form of attrocities in Algeria?
Or the one that made the head of a catholic diocese resign due to sexual abuse of boys ?
What's liberal police ? Police is Police, even when Conservatives are in power, the police move like that, something needs to be done about it truly though
"Moving to the USA even illegally is a dream for most who are in Canada. Again the bigger picture" For most ? Only few people who were denied US visa and managed to move here and they're also the ones clamoring for 51st state so bad, let's them leave and move south after all your loyalty lies in there.
Immigration, giving birth talk, do you think if Canada has enough people they'll be interested in bringing new immigrants especially person of color like you ? I'm sure you prayed and fasted before you get it. CPP and CPP2 is increasing this 2025 |

Jostoman: let them give my state that 51billion monthly allocation that lagos state is getting, lagosian will know that they have been in bondage for the past 24years Enough of all these jare. You and the people in your state are in more bondage. You are from which state? Even though there are embezzlement here and there, Lagos is the only state working in Nigeria, again, you're from which state? |

I'm tired of this excuse, look at Bayelsa, look at Rivers, look at Akwa Ibom, small population, small landmass, huge revenue from 5% of Oil yet they are still worst! Where is your state |

Jostoman: Am also done with nigeria election too.
Funke Akindele we still love you, it is just that lagosian still prefer their 2derica of rice, 2 indomine and 1000 naira from their oppressor. Lagos is still one of the striving states in Nigeria better than your own state without oppressor |

lilbro: Now that you have said all these, i will be quite frank and honest with you, I am an American citizen but born in Nigeria and Nigerian Raised, left 9ja after my college days. My wife ( high school sweet heart) on the other hand is a Canadian citizen and was an advocate for us raising our kids in Canada but thank God i let her have her way (until she saw the truth) and now we are happily living our lives with our kids in the US. and yes i am an American and a Canadian.
I also am in the Power Generation Industry Nuclear turbines and CCGT. The USA has so much unlimited opportunities when it comes to our field but in Canada only the white Canadians are allowed to venture into such fields ( even in the military only on very rare occasions) speaking from my experience i think I've seen it all. i will not discourage you but i will encourage you to go back to your drawing boards and do some more research. The USA gives you options as a professional and depending on your specialization they will welcome your experience from other countries but that is not the case for Canada, not only that, you have got 50 states to choose from even if you want a Nigerian weather its in the US!
Another key aspect is education for the kids, the opportunities are just immense in terms of sports and talent seeking, their High schools are top notch. In Canada when my kids were in middle school and high school the educational level was just too poor and laid back, they don't drill the kids with extra homework and assignments. I can categorically tell you my kids went to one of the best top rated public high schools in the us ( which was a struggle for them the first year, but the had to sit up) and we have been so glad we left Canada ever since.
Just like every other western country you just have to look for a home where the schools in that vicinity are highly rated in terms of academics and sports, trust me when i say true born Canadians are leaving Canada for the us because of lack of opportunities. the Canadian economy thrives on immigration and it will get to a point where if not well managed the structure will start to deteriorate. Indians have messed the country up and they have carved a niche for themselves that they look at Africans and Nigerians most especially as big competition for them and they will go all out to frustrate you. But guess what? they have little or no say in the US! my family and I have tons of experience with Canada and we r so glad we left and now living our American Dream! With this mindset, it's obvious why you had to leave. Yes, there are more job opportunities in US but every other thing you wrote is only in your mind |

Travel › 5 Months In Canada by Journe(op): 7:52am On Dec 31, 2022 |
Thanks to travel section which increased the desire in me to move out of Nigeria. I started the process just before covid and I eventually left months ago. The reason why I choose to put this out there is because I was always kind of excited to read threads about people's experience abroad. I created a new account different from my usual one because I can decide to give personal information since I want to create savings plan in order to save $20,000 by Dec 2023.
I started my job mid August with $2300 after tax and I eventually got another one which was about $4000 before tax and take home became $3050 per month. Between then and now, I have acquired 2 plots of land around Mowe/Ibafo, each was between 300 and 500 hundred thousand naira because I'm someone who really believe in real estate. I'm not planning of acquiring more next year though. I now have about 2M in my naira account which was half of my POF which I got from a plot of land that I sold which belong to my family and I feel obligated to return it. I also currently have about $4000 in my Canada savings account, I might attach this.
Before coming here my income was between 130 and 180k naira and I almost lost it because I was already been told that business is slow, thankfully, I got my PPR a month after.
Note: I work from home and I'm not in Ontario. I want to note few things too but that could give hints because some of friends are in this section too
