Thanks for you response @toslad. By positive assessment do mean the equivalent of an Australian bachelors degree? Because I saw on caanz website that the minimum qualification to get a work assessment is to have the equivalent of an Australian bachelors degree. So what I really want to know is if a degree from a state university can be assessed as equivalent of an Australian degree.

Your chances are 'high' if your syllabus covered the required areas by the assessing bodies. Please go to their site and check if the courses you studied are in sync with what they required.

I know people without ICAN or ACCA who got positive assessment outcomes but I recently read of someone who got negative. So please go through the sites - CAANZ, CPA or IPA thoroughly.

OK thank you. I pray I get answers soon. I am trying to send my documents to CAANZ for accounting assessment and one of the documents required is a copy of my syllabus for each course . pls did anyone send something like this ?

I understand how you feel but Patience is a virtue on this journey

Some people may not answer because they ain't knowledgeable in the field you are assessing whilst some are actually busy.

I'm sure when they are free and come online they'll answer.

Remember you need a truck load of patience on this journey.

Please Accountants in the house ,what chance do I have of being evaluated positively with only a bsc degree from a state university without any certification from ACCA or Ican?

I read a post on Quora this morning stating that what the Canadian government is actually after is the children of immigrants who they are sure will receive the best Canadian education and contribute to the economy of Canada in the future and not the parents. Might not be true but then worth knowing

My question is that I have a bsc in Accounting but no professional qualification like ACCA or Ican or masters . I have worked in operations in the bank for 11 years now. Can my occupation and skill be assessed as a general accountant ?

Does it mean a degree obtained over 15 years ago cannot be used if there is no second degree?

Just realised I won't be able to put my first degree in my personal history as it was 15 years ago,I only put my MSC which I evaluated on my profile. I now want to add my Bsc to my profile while choosing that it wasn't evaluated. My fear however is for it not to throw me out as ineligible after the update just as it did to @TEECAN I really cant afford that as I'm expecting ITA this draw or next. Pls i need your advise.

CIMA lecture notes ate also on opentuition.com . But from what I can see on the site ,it seems purchasing their lecture note is compulsory and is quite expensive .

But i found this site www.astranti dot com. He has summarised notes, exam kits and mock questions all for free.

You must be ready to dedicate time and be ready to read and master the exam questions techniques and even the syllabus.

I think paper f1-f3 in ACCA is easier than this cima. But it seems the hard way seems to be the only /fastest way for now.

The exam is administered by pearson vue centres so you can write your exams at any time you wish.

Physical calculators are not allowed as only the onscreen calculator is being used.

But if you are an efiko, you can do it in record time.
If you want to land in canada on time, you can do it.
If you read Economics or anything related, Paper BA1(first paper) will be a walk in the park.

I have personally tried to attempt some of the mock questions. Not bad in my opinion.

Just dedicate time to it.

All these info I got from Google including the snaphot of the husband claiming his wife got 1 year college certificate evaluation from wes.

The trick is that if a qualification is uk / European based, there is a high probability of positive evaluation from wes.

I am studying for the ielts writing test on Saturday using jay and ielts Liz . Now jay says to put in the introduction a statement like '' This essay shall discuss.....' And Liz says not to do that as it is overused. Pls those who have aced ielts did you do anything like that?

Wait ohh but how can we get ITA and PPR if we don't ask of ACCA and transcript issues. Its all part of the process now. And its because you have no issues with these that's why you are biased towards asking here. Some of us need these ACCA and transcript issues to be sorted out in other to get ITA (which is the reason for this thread) so allow us ask pls.

Could this be because of the exemption you had in F1? Would it have been a year diploma if you wrote all three papers?

Congrats to all ITA Choppers! it is well with you. Based on the information here, i decided to submit my ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business (F1- F3, I had exemption in F1) to WES for evaluation. My evaluation came out as college-level certificate (one semester) and i contested it but they still said its correct. I am now trying to look for alternatives to improve my CRS score after maxing out IELTS because that is not eligible for Two or more degrees. Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

Please has anyone written ielts exams at Enugu center and how was the atmosphere? I haven't received a mail with the venue address from BC and my exam is on the 2nd of June. Please who has an idea about the venue and the general atmosphere?

I would recommend you go the ACCA route. Its faster and more assuring.

I do know how to do a search and I have done that. Reason why I made reference to what people said about NOUN and NTI PGDE. What I am asking for is if anyone knows how soon NTI PGDE result is available for use after completion of the programme. I have already filled the form and I'm bring prompted to make payment but I was hoping to get info on the above to enable us make an informed decision.

While I appreciate you taking out time to respond, you do come across as dismissive. Anyways, thanks for reiterating the ACCA bit...I found that helpful.

Why don't you get the ACCA diploma instead which takes a shorter time?

Hello Family.

Knowing that UNILAG Diploma + Bsc doesn't give extra points really broke my heart. (Currently 435)

I'm left with the option to gain an extra certificate; which is my on-going (ACCA Oxford Brookes University) certification. I already claimed the exemptions though. I'm thinking of going for an MBA programme too.

Just want to know if my options are on track, or are there quicker options.

PS. I have no sibling in Canada.

Please help!

It is expected to give you Completion of College Level Certificate (1 year)

You should choose 2 years. 3 years may be viewed as misrepresentation .

Good am EE fam, I have 2years work experience but within these years I worked more than the hours stated on cic website , will I fill 2years in my crs or 3 years?
