How long does it take for results to be released with CBT?

rosepetraa:

I did both PBT & CBT. If you re good at typing ( not necessarily typist skill level); i will say go with CBT. It is so much easier to re-arrange your paragraphs, move some sentences around, and tweak your essays if typed as compared to cleaning with eraser.

In addition, i found thé Reading CBT easier. There's minimal fear of loosing marks due to not obeying instructions. For example, some questions say choose A, B or C. Exam tension may make you write out thé answer in PBT( I know this cos it happened to me) For CBT, na to just click correct alphabet o. You can also just copy thé answer from thé passage and paste in thé given space ( risk of spelling errors eliminated)

Finally, the fact that you get to do thé Speaking component on thé same day is the icing on thé cake

Safe delivery ma'am .May your new home favour you.

…and my journey to the Maple leaf country began.

My Express Entry journey ended with receiving COPR in August 2018, but we decided to stay back in Nigeria because I needed to spend what would be my last Christmas with my family for a long while to come. If you are from a very close-knit family like mine, packing up your life and leaving won’t be as easy as it is for some. My parents were happy for us and for the new life ahead of us but the realization that we would be continents away did not make it an easy thing to celebrate.

So I have been 6weeks in Canada and I can say that God has been so faithful, so much so that my greatest challenge many a times is making the best choice amongst many good options. Here are a few highlights:

Thank you @ArcUgo. This worked. I received a mail today to pick it up at the Abuja office.

ArcUgo:
Mine has taken more than 15weeks since April 25. After sending several mails without any response, i was able to contact them through facebook messenger where i had a long and fruitful chat because apparently my EOR has been lying in their Lagos Office for God knows how long (I'm based in Port Harcourt). Long story short they have sent me a mail to pick it up next week. So maybe you should try what i did. Good Luck

My husband booked his return ticket to US some weeks ago and had no issues at all. They are genuine and have very cheap rates.

Saintp:
Plz guys who have traveled, did you use Travelstart for your flight bookings? Did you experience any issue with them? They seem to have the cheapest fare rates but I'm reading a lot of negative reviews. Are there better options?

Verify your BSC and CISA only. You will scan a copy of the certificates to WES with hellofax and request transcripts from your school and cisa to be sent directly to WES.

Temitayo1949:
Please am trying to do the ECA...Now i have secondary school (waec),bsc, ican and CISA certificated to be evaluated....The question is how do i go about ensuring that WES gets this documents.....Will i go to WAEC,UNILAG,ICAN to request that this documents are sent to them or i do the submission myself(since i have originals of some of this documents)...

F2- F3 ACCA will not give you 1 year diploma equivalent. You can consider F5 to F9. Besides all that will only add 1 point to your CRS score as you are not the PA so think well.

christokers:
congrats to all the ppr clinchers , may this joy be permanent in your lives.
I have noticed some really good people here who sacrifices their time and knowledge to see others achieve their dream , don't want to mention names so I don't miss out on anyone who falls in this category ,but we all know them and those of them who who is expecting the golden mail I pray ur good news will soon come.
As for me , lol, the dream is just beginning , started the whole process two weeks ago, I have been doing lots of reading , na only when I dey university I read like Dis o. so I can catch up.
ielts coming by middle of august hopefully we will get our int. passports by Nxt week ,applied for it last week Tuesday at the immigration HQ Abuja
wes verification under way. waiting for school to dispatch mail of me and wifey .
crs stands at 426 (wifey primary applicant)with bsc for both of us, I dey pray make crs drop like last year .
planning on starting MSC for wifey @ noun this September as wifey is younger than me , and also i am thinking of doing f2-f3 acca to claim 1year diploma, claiming exception for f1 cos I have a degree in accounting.
house hope am in order with my plans .

You do not necessarily have to attend classes to up your score if you devote time to self study. Practise is key and lots of test questions can be found on good sites like ielts Liz, ( she helped me a lot in writing), jay on YouTube for the speaking test, and majinta on YouTube .
Using adequate and appropriate vocabulary in writing and speaking is so important. I learnt most of it from Tony ielts box on youtube . I highly recommend his youtube channel with link below.

You should be the primary applicant because of Age. The best place for you to start is Page O. Go there and digest all the information and simulate your CRS score with you or him as primary applicant.

Separately . Each of you will have yours.

adeptonlin:
Hello house, me and my spouse are about sending our transcript to ECA for evaluation. Are we to generate a single ref number on WES or separately?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by Joyce2020: 2:38pm On Jun 10, 2018
Yes she can. Read page O to get all the details you need.

adeptonlin:
Hello house, can a wife who is a MSc holder apply for a PR together with her hubby with ND with the wife as principal applicant? And is it compulsory for the husband to write the English language test too?
Travel / Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by Joyce2020: 2:04pm On Jun 10, 2018
OK . thanks a lot. After I adopt her she would need to change her surname to mine right?

Blackbuddy:

Hi, you will have to formally adopt her, get the court papers to prove this then add her to your application like any other family member. Once she crosses 21 years of age, she will have to apply on her own and cannot come as your dependent.

A recent story on canadavisa website got me thinking. The required skills that Canada requires may change soon and affect CRS scores greatly. They may soon begin to look for experienced professionals in certain skills they require. This is what obtains for Australian PR and Canada might be looking that way soon. This is the link to the publication

https://www.cicnews.com/2018/06/what-will-the-future-of-express-entry-look-like-0610749.html

For those of us just starting and trying to get two or more degrees ,I advise that we pursue professional courses in our disciplines or other disciplines but not just bland pgd courses or diplomas that have no relevance to our fields.
