sodiqyinka: Y'all worrying about Jamb reg number should calm down. If you are admitted through Jamb( i mean if you wrote jamb), do not be bothered as you won't be facing any issue(s) during registration. If you didn't write Jamb but have you the Jamb letter of admission( the one your school gives to you), do not worry as well as the only thing you need do is to regularize the Jamb reg number on the Jamb.org.ng website. The only people who should panic are those who do not belong to any of the two groups i mentioned above. Enjoy a stress-free registration come next week. Good morning everyone. Morning Sodiqyinka. Is it compulsory to go to camp with school ID card. Cos my school collected it from us immediately de gave us our certificate. |

Agriculture › Re: Cost Analysis/How To Setup Plantain Plantation In Nigeria With Pictures by joyjoomla(m): 1:18pm On Feb 04, 2015 |
world1: Hello everyone, Am an Agribusiness Consultant based in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. My company is Natural Nutrient Limited.
LET'S DISCUSSED EVERYTHING ABOUT SETTING UP A PLANTAIN FARM. What is a Plantain? Plantains are a member of the banana family. They are a starchy, low in sugar variety that is cooked before serving as it is unsuitable raw.
Unlike starting other tree farms, starting a plantain farm and growing plantain are easier and less complicated. Although growing plantain still requires ones attention, the level of skill required is not as intensive as other trees. Here are a few guidelines in growing plantain and starting a plantain farm.
Step 1. LAND PROCUREMENT The first thing to consider in starting a plantain farm is looking for the right climate. Plantain cannot thrive in an environment that is too hot or too cold. The proposed land/soil for your plantain farm must be a well drain land that is rich and naturally fertilized but If such is not available, you can create compost and add chicken manure to your existing land.
Now that you have the land what next? Welldone sir, I have being following this thread and some other threads on AgroBusiness, such as threads created by Magnam (water melon) Okine4real(oil palm), Legsupnigeria, jasper and you. Am eyeing going into plantain farming this year, which am going to interplant with vegetable and water melon in either Ondo or Ekiti State. Here are my questions, sir How many time will one harvest in a year? According to what I envisage, and also which a farmer told me, after the first harvest one will be harvesting plantain every four months because as the main one grows young suckers will be growing as well with maturity/fruiting period of approximately 4 months interval. How will one cub d menace of monkey in plantain farm Another thing I want to be sure of is how to control wind How many worker (permanent) will one need to work on 10 acres of plantain plantation, and how mush do you suggest I can pay them as salary How possible is it to get an acre of land for not more than N50,000 in either Ekiti or Ondo State What is the rough estimate of the amount (in naira) that will successfully nurse 10acres of plantain to fruiting, including the cost of the land (N500,000 if at N50,000 per acre). I have known some things about marketing and am still going to do more research on that, atleast b4 fruiting. Am expecting ur comprehensive answers, sir. Thanks. God bless you, God bless farmers. God bless Nigeria. Agbe lo'ba lojokojo! |

horlasunkanmi: this is one of the reason why I always don't want to associate myself with you people, you are everly ready to criticize!for GOD sake why are you taking panadol for someone else headache?everybody has freedom to express the features he want in whomever he want to partner with, and those are mine,so what's the problem? This is a deal that's going to run for a very long period of time and I'm trying to choose someone that will understand the islamic principles as regard to business,so I need to choose someone that my opinion according to islamic business law will not be different from his own,so as not to bringabout misunderstanding in the nearest future, success in business sometimes also has to do with your spiritual level sometimes,so if my partner is of a different believe how are we going to be able to offer our prayer in one voice in a difficult situations?and a good muslim who is keen on making janah and is ready to follow the quranic injuctions and sunnah will never cheat on his partner cos the fear will always be there, these and many more reasons made me think that muslim is definitely going to be best bet for the deal, and am sure any reasonable person who his thinking faculties is still very active should get my point right, I mean no harm,I love christians I love jews I love even atheist cos we are all creature of one God,but these are my own personal opinion and I shouldn't be crucify for it Hope you are also going to sell the products all to muslim alone too, I think they shld also be d the ones that understand islamic law of patronage n purchase. |

Lesgupnigeria: Plantain farming is one of the most preferred farming in Nigeria by farmers because of its high rate of return on investment, good cash flow monthly and easy management of farms when well established. Demand for plantain flour for medicinal purposes especially for diabetes patient coupled with high local consumption demand also make plantain profitable. This is the cost of our plantain management programme 1st Stage Land #60,000/acre 1st plough #5,000 2nd plough #5,000 800 suckers@#50 per sucker #40,000 Planting @#15/sucker #12,000 2nd stage 1st weeding #9,000 3rd stage 2nd weeding #9,000 4th stage 3rd weeding #9000 5th stage 4th weeding #9,000 Harvesting #9,000 Total Cost =#167,000 After 10 months,Assuming 700 suckers survive and about 500 sucker fruit at 10months after planting with 1 bunch/ plant = 500 bunch of plantain. #800/bunch(conservative price, its usually #1,200 - #1,400) Income = #800*500 = #400,000 2nd year 1500 bunches are produced (lets be conservative with 1000 bunches. Income for year 2 =#800*1000 = #800,000 Year 3 Income =#800*2000 = #1,600,000 and the income keeps increasing every year. The payment interval between each stage is 1month To participate in the programme, send email to yusuffgbenga@gmail.com like our page on www.facebook.com/lesgupnigeria Hello bros............ Is it once in a year that one will be harvesting? According to what I envisage, and also which a farmer told me, after the first harvest one will be harvesting plantain every four months because as the main one grows young suckers will be growing as well with maturity/fruiting period of approximately 4 months interval. I will be glad to hear from you soon sir. |

Business To Business › I Need The Service Of Expert In LGP Retail Station Construction by joyjoomla(op): 3:30pm On Jan 03, 2015 |
I want to establish LGP (cooking gas) mini station in Akure Ondo State. It's a mini station intending to be filling up to 300 12.5kg cylinders per month.
I want to know the cost of starting the business on the small scale I specified, like how much it wl cost to construct storage tank that can accommodate 300 to 400 12.5kg cylinders of gas. The machinery needed such as dispenser pump, etc and their cost. How to get a reliable supplier. How mush is the current price of 12.5kg from the supplier. Also must I be registered with any regulatory agency or join any association before I can start the business. If yes, what are the conditions for certification, And will I need to under go training before I can be certified. I know I have to register my company with CAC. What are other things needed for this business. I will be grateful for your response to these and other things am yet to know about the venture.
My projection is N1m. And I want to start it after many NYSC. |

mayorde: your gladness, there is no need for you to beef me, that i am working in a gas company doesnt mean i am paid like those working in shell, i work in a gas company that has a gas plant say like working as an accounting officer in a filling station so beef me not i aint that rich yet im coming soon.
To answer your question(time did not permit me the other time, i had important issues to attend to). what matters most is location and how you can market youself. If u can find a shop very close to where most of the people use gas or at least a reasonable percentage of the people use gas and that is quite far from a gas plant(need not worry, gas plants are quite scarce) then i would say u are in biz. u can also do home delivery, market yourself to fastfoods, hotels and other poeole that use gas regularly(hostels, catering schools etc and some companies like Nigerian brewries, evans or those that use for industyrial purpose) u could be their supplier. it dosnt require much. A delivery van if u can afford or a bike depending on how big ur dream is. just go to any plant and register as a distributor se fini. Please what does it take to be registered as a distributor. Does it require any expertise, legal issue......... Pls I wl b glad to hear from you. |

Business › Re: Starting A Magazine - Is Print Media License Required ??? by joyjoomla(m): 2:28pm On Dec 31, 2014 |
ikeGod2: @ Poster: I have as well been looking at that line of business and My researches have been indeed helpful. Now Let me outline these: 1. You need a name for your magazine and that name must be exclusive to your publication. 2. your publication must havea targeted audience and the content of your publication must be conspicuous on the name of the mag. 3. you will either go for a business name with CAC (corporate Affairs commission) and then publish as you mag as a publication of that business name and that will cover every other processes that may be consequence to that deal. 4. You need to have a current account in either the business name or the mag name if they are different, but most advisable is in the business name so that you will be able to make available all the bank wants. I have been going through these processes and for more info reach me here: deinfoworld@gmail.com
Now talking about how to make money, you need to be very sensitive to your aduience and how to build it. The more copies you sell, the more money you make. The more areas you cover, the larger your audience.
I have deviced a means that anybody that comes across the map MUST buy my mag when it starts running and of course you will not regret it cos of the content.
Contact me for consultation and you will see something different. You must lay down good plans before starting if not you will fail but God forbid. How to deal with the editorial issue, who is your editior? And please must the company name be thesame as the magazine name? For exmple my company name is Abuk Investments and I intend my magazine name to be JULLYMag Wl be glad to here from you. Thanks for d help already provided. |
