The family are very happy TB Joshua's inefficiency and greed led to the death of their loved ones abi? Only SCOAN members would believe the above trash.
Hey bro - don’t be too quick to judge. Have you read that any of the family members took TB Joshua to court? In fact, I read that many of these family members even followed Joshua to Mexico for his recent crusade. By all accounts, they are still 100% behind the ministry...

Maybe ‘cos it wasn’t inefficiency or greed - it was an ATTACK!
PoliticsAs Predicted, TB Joshua’s Election Prediction VIDEO Surfaces!!! by jpaul5(op): 10:11pm On Apr 01, 2015
A friend just sent me this - uploaded on ‘Emmanuel TV’s YouTube Channel a couple of minutes ago grin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atJg_wKrJmg

Summary - in April 2010, TBJ said a new party would rise that would challenge the ‘super party’ of Nigeria
In January 2013, he said disunity would bring the ruling party ‘to its knees’.
In February 2013, he insisted he cannot take sides as a pastor and said once again that the newly formed party (APC) would bring the existing government (PDP) to its knees.

Comments anyone?
Christianity EtcRe: Did TB Joshua Predict Germanwings Plane Crash??? by jpaul5: 8:14am On Mar 25, 2015
Whenever the issue of Prophet T.B. Joshua comes up, I would like to remind people that we should be careful of what we say. A look at TBJ’s track-record will show his words carry weight. He has, on many occasions, made predictions that came to fruition, hence the reason why people tend to take note whenever he talks.

The facts on ground here on clear - the prophet told congregants to pray from 19th to 23rd March to avert a plane crash. He re-emphasised his message on Sunday 22nd, specifying that he had also been praying astutely to avert this impending calamity. Alas, on Tuesday 24th March, the following day, the plane crashed in France, plunging 150 souls to a premature grave.

We are not in any position to explain the exact spiritual outworking in this case but you cannot deny that TBJ has spoken concerning this.

These are Pastor Bakare’s own words. Where is the propaganda there? The writer is just trying to sensationalise by bringing Osinbajo’s case into it but you cannot deny what Bakare said. And if you follow the train of thought, if Tinubu’s grand ambition is to become VP, there is no better person for him to use than Osinbajo going by the strength of their relationship.

Just saying...

PoliticsRe: T.B. Joshua Refuses To Endorse Jonathan Nor Buhari. by jpaul5: 8:25am On Feb 05, 2015
I believe that most pastors are taking sides because of personal or material reasons - because they will benefit or have benefitted in one way or the other by taking such a stance. This type of issue really separates TB Joshua from most of his Pentecostal colleagues. Whatever you say about him, you cannot fault him for his neutrality when it comes to political issues. Even when Atta-Mills was seeking to be President of Ghana and came to SCOAN, he never allowed him to campaign in his church or speak publicly in his service. It was only after he became the President that Atta-Mills held a thanksgiving service at SCOAN and it was not a political message but rather a humble testimony. I pray other pastors will learn from his stance when it comes to such a heated issue as politics.

These times are really showing us who the real men of God are. While Adeboye, Oyedepo and the likes are being embroiled in political scandals and controversies pertaining to the pursuit of worldly wealth, Prophet T.B. Joshua has distinguished himself as someone who genuinely is not driven by politics or material possessions.

The experience of Ifekoya Adejoke is as harrowing as it is heart-breaking. Lured by a false promise of ‘greener pastures’ abroad, the young Nigerian ended up a merciless victim of human trafficking, chained to a bed in a dingy, dirty Libyan room and forced to sexually satisfy up to 30 men in a single night...

Adejoke, a Lagos indigene, explained that an impoverished background led her to survive by hawking water as a young girl before she becoming an apprentice hair stylist.

“When I lost my dad, his family claimed my mum was responsible for his death,” the 21 year old tearfully said, sharing her experiences at a popular church in Lagos. “They left us with her and ever since then, she has been the one catering for us.”

Aged 19, a middle-aged lady walked into the shop where she was styling and approached her with an unusual proposal. “She came to me and said there was a country she was staying in and if she took me to that country, I would make money and would be able to cater for my family.”

“My happiness knew no bounds,” she recalled, her judgement veiled by the blind promise of greener pastures. “I said, ‘Finally, an angel has come’. Unknown to me, she was a devil in human’s clothing.”

Just one week later, without even informing her mum or siblings, Ifekoya was in a vehicle with the mysterious lady en route to Libya. “She said when we got there, we would board a flight to Spain where I would start work as a stylist”.

The long journey by road through the infamous Sahara Desert was nothing short of hellish. “We were seeing dead bodies strewn on the ground,” she reminisced, shuddering at the grisly recollection.

“Even the vehicle that was following us directly passed on top of a buried bomb; the vehicle just exploded and everybody there died.” Ifekoya witnessed scenes far too horrific to repeat as masked men attacked a vehicle close to hers, beating the occupants to a stupor and raping the women inside.

Finally making it to Libya’s capital city of Tripoli, Adejoke was taken by the woman to a duplex. The first glimpse of her new home was a shock to behold. “I met five Nigerian girls there who were half-naked,” she stated. Smiling wryly at her bewildered confusion, the woman said she would ‘explain everything tomorrow’.

“The following morning, when I woke up, she brought some underwear for me and said these were the clothes I must use to work,” the young Nigerian narrated to the sober crowd.

As realisation dawned to what she had unknowingly entangled herself in, Ifekoya bluntly refused. “That afternoon, people said they wanted to meet me because I was new but I protested,” she continued.

“So, the woman went outside and brought a cane. They really beat me up until I was very weak. She then took me to one of the rooms and tied me down there. She tied my hands to the back of my head and tied my legs separately so that they were open. That very day, 30 men used me in the room where I was chained.”

Shackled as a sex slave alone in the dark, dirty room save for the ravenous men who forced themselves on her, Ifekoya’s willpower slowly began wilting.

“After two weeks, the other girls came to me and said that if I didn’t accept to do this, she would tie me down for two years. When I knew the whole thing was like that, I just accepted.”

Informed that she would have to repay a total of $9,000 to the devilish lady to ‘cover the costs’ of her travel to Libya, the young Nigerian prostituted for almost one year before finally ‘earning’ enough to ‘buy’ her freedom.

However, as hope finally beckoned that she could leave such hellish lifestyle, fate struck another venomous blow. “Immediately I planned to leave the place, I started falling sick – seriously sick.”

Nearly one year of sleeping with multiple men on a nightly basis had taken its toll on her young body. “To my greatest surprise, my womb fell. I had to be taken to the hospital where they operated on me to remove it.”

Feeble and practically penniless, Ifekoya now faced the ominous challenge of making enough money for the journey back to Nigeria. Her options were limited. “At the end of the day, I had no choice. I still had to resort to the same thing to come back to Nigeria,” she admitted.

Eventually ending up in another brothel, she began saving up for the return leg of her nightmare journey. After encountering a fellow Nigerian prostitute who had a similar story as a victim of deception and exploitation, the duo struck a strong friendship and resolved to make the journey together.

At this point, they made what turned out to be a life-changing discovery. “It was when we were in one of our friend’s houses that we were introduced to Emmanuel TV,” she explained. “We started watching and praying along with it.”

Almost 2 years after her intrepid trip across the Sahara Desert, Ifekoya and her friend embarked on the journey back to Nigeria. Inspired by the clips they had seen on Emmanuel TV, the television station of controversial Nigerian pastor T.B. Joshua, they decided to make The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) their first port of call.

After receiving prayer for ‘deliverance’ from the ‘spirit of prostitution’ and hearing of their sordid stories, Joshua decided to give the ex-prostitutes N200,000 ($1,200) each to restart their lives.

“God has kept me alive to pass this message across to the youth,” the young Nigerian emotionally concluded, admonishing her age-mates not to fall prey to the same tactics used to lure her into slavery.

NAN reported Komolafe as saying the following yesterday:

“I don’t even need to listen to this application, just to tell you that nobody is being prosecuted or being put on trial.
“The point I want to make is that, that fellow, whoever, he is, he is not above the laws of the land and he dare not try it.
“Take that message back to him, that not on earth should he try to rubbish the court and never on earth should he try to use his hand to touch the sword of the state because if he does, he would have himself to blame.
“What I am saying is that Joshua should respect himself and not drag the law of the land into the mud,” he said.
Komolafe further lashed out at Joshua:  “Let me give this to you, so that you don’t create the impression to the world that anybody is after anybody, because, in fact, you saw me writing; it is the bench warrant for that man.
“But you see, let me give him a long rope to pull.
“The court cannot be taken for granted and nobody, I repeat, nobody can do that, not even him. I just want you to advise him accordingly.”

It appears to me he is taking this on a personal level, thus jeopardising his ability to act in justice and fairness. Such statements cast aspersions over the integrity of Komolafe’s judgment in such a serious, sensitive issue.

What the church did was Biblical. Situations like this call for us to pray and worship more. If you read your Bible in Job 1:20, Job fell down and worshiped after finding out he had lost just about everything, including his children.

CelebritiesWho Is Nigeria’s Most Internationally Recognised Celebrity??? by jpaul5(op): 10:20pm On Aug 23, 2014
Yesterday, I chanced upon a list put together by an African blogger chronicling Nigeria’s most internationally known celebrities. Intriguingly, the name sitting at the pinnacle of the pack of film stars and musicians was a Christian pastor who seldom leaves Nigerian shores.

Above the likes of musicians D’Banj, P Square, Wizkid, Flavour, 2Face and Nollywood legends Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Ekeinde and Ramsey Noah Jr, the controversial Pastor T.B. Joshua was ranked as Nigeria’s most popular international icon.

The question begs – is this just a bloggers personal opinion masked perhaps under an impressionable meeting with Joshua or is it a true reflection of international outlook toward Africa’s most populous nation?

Well, a quick look at the facts certainly gravitates towards the latter conclusion. Social media stats put Joshua near the top of the pack with nearly 1.3 million Facebook followers, bettered only by Omosexy who has over 1.6 million. The other celebs on this list to have topped the million margin are P-Square with 1.1 million and D’Banj with 1 million.

Joshua’s international acclaim is certainly evident in Nigeria’s tourism industry, recent statistics from the Nigerian Immigration Service stating that six out of every ten foreign travelers coming into Nigeria are bound for The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN).

Even the recent threat of Ebola and the menace of Boko Haram have not stemmed the tide of international visitors to Joshua’s ministry, an estimated 10,000 having flown into Lagos to meet ‘the prophet’ in the last month.

When it comes to headline-making activities, it appears the Nigerian pastor is a hands-down winner. This week alone, Joshua has featured in newspapers from UK, USA, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey, France, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Namibia and even China (to name but a few) in respect of his unique response to the deadly Ebola outbreak.

Followers of online blogs, particularly within Africa, are inundated almost daily with T.B. Joshua related news, more than any of the other celebrities chronicled in this piece. The controversy surrounding his persona is further mirrored in the comments sections of such articles which often turn to heated debates over authenticity and relevance.

Malicious messages sent through social media gain untold momentum when attributed to Joshua, the alleged ‘salt-water’ Ebola cure that swept across Nigeria being a recent example. There was even a time when nationwide panic ensued among 2go users due to a purported message ascribed to Joshua that calamity awaited users of the popular service.

Although the likes of D’banj, 2face and PSquare regularly have sell out concerts in foreign countries, none have neared the feat Joshua accomplished last month when he packed an Olympic Stadium in the South American nation of Colombia, a reported 100,000 in attendance.

Joshua’s television station Emmanuel TV has been touted severally to be among the most viewed stations in the African continent as the name ‘T.B. Joshua’ has become increasingly synonymous with the nation of Nigeria in the eyes of onlookers.

As a Nigerian who travels frequently throughout Africa, I can affirm that the question most commonly asked me once Nigerian nationality is established revolves around the popular pastor and his ‘supernatural’ antics.

Although it is practically impossible to gauge exact levels of popularity, I think it is safe to say that the bearded cleric certainly ranks in the upper echelons of Nigeria’s international flag bearers – and there seems to be no signs of his influence waning.

Here is the list as opined by the aforementioned blogger:

1. Pastor T.B. Joshua
2. 2Face Idibia
3. Flavour
4. Wizkid
5. Ramsey Noah Jr
6. P-Square
7. Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde
8. Genevieve Nnaji
9. D’Banj

Do you agree with this list? Is anyone missing? In your opinion, who is Nigeria’s most internationally recognised celebrity?

Onazi: How we stopped Bosnia

EXCERPT FROM COMPLETE SPORTS, SATURDAY, JUNE 28, 2014

Super Eagles midfielder, Onazi Ogenyi has shed more light on the secret behind the team’s 1-0 win over Bosnia Herzegovina in the ongoing 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.

In Complete Sports Saturday’s usual style of digging deep into rumours making the rounds, it was gathered the Lazio FC of Italy midfield enforcer had gone spiritual to ensure that Nigeria broke her 16 years no win jinx and progress to the knock out stage. According to him, he had put a call through to his mentor and spiritual father, Prophet TB Joshua to support the team with prayers after the team’s unimpressive goalless draw with Team Melli of Iran in Nigeria opening group match, after which he was instructed on what Super Eagles must do to carry the day.
Besides, Complete Sports Saturday’s decent source revealed Onazi was equally worried that since Ghana had secured a 2-2 draw against the mighty Germans, Nigeria could turn out to be the laughing stock of the West African rivals should Super Eagles fail to beat Bosnia. It was gathered that the former My People FC star was distressed following an unconfirmed report that Ghanaian press had mocked Nigeria’s poor display against Iran.
Indeed, CS scooped that NFF brass had braced up for the team’s exit with immediate changes in travelling plans altered after the opening draw. The feeling in camp was that Super Eagles stood no chance against Bosnia whom Argentina laboured to beat 1-0, hence the loss of belief in the team by officials.
Our source revealed that Prophet TB Joshua had informed Onazi that Nigeria will score just one goal in the match and that any attempt to seek for more would be counterproductive. Onazi was instructed to inform his teammates during the interval to fall back and defend the goal. Nigerian went on to score the only goal of the match after Emmanuel Emenike’s pass was coolly slotted in by Osaze Odemwingie.
Nigeria fought like a Trojan and defended their goal to win the encounter after Edin Dzeko was ruled offside.
