Greeting Boss.
please is it possible for a car to have a knocking sound without the oil light blinking. i asked cos thats the issue am facing now. when i start the car in the morning it will sound well but when warm, a slight knocking sound will be heard in the background. and i have driven the car from where i observed the sound to my house with no issue and till now the oil light is still not blinking. put in mind the oil light is working cos i have checked it. but am yet to see my mech. any suggestions please. other codes after scanning are P0325 and P1349

Clear codes, and rescan again.

I HAVE DONE THAT SEVERAL TIMES. INITIALLY ALONG WITH THESE CODES, I WAS HAVING P0171 AND AFTER SOME ONLINE RESEARCH, I DISCOVERED MY INTAKE HOSE WAS NOT CLIPPED WHICH I DID AND THE P0171 STOPPED. BUT THE OTHER ONES ARE STILL THERE EXCEPT THE P1305 AND P1310 THAT COME TIME TO TIME. AND P0340 THAT SHOWED ONES AND NEVER AGAIN. EVEN AS OF TODAY, THE CAR ONLY CRANKS BUT WONT START.

GOOD DAY BOSSES IN THE HOUSE, RECENTLY HAVING A HARD START SITUATION WITH MY CAR. SO WAS ABLE TO SCAN IT AND GOT THESE CODES:
P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0335, P1305, P1310. MY SPARK PLUGS ARE NEW. PLS HELP, AM THINKING OF CHANGING THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR BUT AM NOT SURE. AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST, SO AS TO USE AS A GUIDE
ITS A TOYOTA MATRIX.

Good day Boss. The mechanic said I will need to change my camshaft. Pls what do you think. Am worried for the engine.

Greetings gurus in the house. Pls I need help with my 03 matrix. Just yesterday while going to work, I notice some strange noise from the engine side around the belt. So to be on the safe side I parked the car around the spot I noticed the noise. Cus it was loud. Checked my oil and trans fluid, scanned and no code. So I left the car there. Wen coming back in the evening, I picked the car when on speed u will not hear the sound but in traffic ithe sound will come back. Along the way, in the traffic the sound stopped and everything was normal. Only for me to later discover my drive belt was melting and smoking which was not like that before I picked it after work. And after changing the belt the sound returned again. Pls what can be the issue.

03 matrix: 155-165km on #2500 fuel with AC.

Thank you for this. Please, did u have to change the pipe? or the AC system was just flushed? Did you use freon of the cylinder or the can?

Gud day, I changed d 2 pipes and put new gas. D can type but each can was 4.5k. Initial problem was dat d car only cool when am moving.

I just solved similar issue yesterday. Mine same symptom. Turn out my ac pipe was blocked. The AC guy said weak compressor can cause it too

Go under the vehicle , the O2 sensor wire harness is frayed and currently causing an intermittent closed circuit. Tape it up and both problems will go away.

pls just want to knw if using wrong oil spec on a car can trigger the CEL, cos my matrix had d CEL for about two months now while I was on total quartz 5000..20w-50. I just serviced it some days back with d recommended spec 5w-30 Mobil super 2000 semi- synthetic and boom, I have been using since then and no CEL. can d oil cause this.
