Prettiepearlz: Nobody said its easy, Nothing about my post talks about how easy it is. Nothing good comes easy! If you have all it takes, which is work experience, age, education, money for the proof of funds for the number of family you intend to migrate with, can write IELTS and pass, funds to evaluate your degree with an evaluating body, then you are good to go! If you are expecting an easy way out to migrate, then you aren't ready. There is no easy way out in life. That is just one of the valid ways of migrating that I know, if you know any, please post yours for others to learn. For the records sha, migrating to Canada through Express entry is not difficult if you have all that is stated up there. You haven't tried it but here you are being pessimistic about a program that has helped thousands to migrate out of Nigeria. What exactly do you mean by the bold? Take time to read read and understand what the guy is actually seeking. Did he tell u he doesn't know there's a thread for Canada/Australia Express entry? Someone is talking migrating and doing business in Nigeria, you are asking him to go and start processing something that he cannot finish in the next 2yrs |

Prettiepearlz: If you have the experience and education then try Canada Express entry to be a permanent resident or Australia permanent residency program. Read up their threads on Nairaland. Wealth of information are on those threads, you don't need any agent to help you.
Ps: No one should pm me Easier said than done. Do u forbid Canada and Australia? |

babakb: You peeps don't seem to understand, do you know that it takes a Canadian employer a minimum of 6 months to sponsor work visa for a foreigner, some even run to a year when the employer can just hire residents within a week, or at least hire students to work part time? You just hit the point. I think that's d reason it's almost impossible to get foreign jobs from here. I've tried it on so many sites even with the best CV, still nothing |

mrphysics: Yeah, call them underdeveloped and you will be right but it doesn't matter. What matters is that they are collectively building their country, making it stronger and better everyday. Men and women, children and adult, working together with their government. But in Nigeria, Government is stealing, citizens are blaming, no one wants to own responsibility and build the country.
Or you think these people that go there to break their laws are Nigerian government? Absolutely no, these are same citizens with even means to migrate, when they find the opportunity, and get there, they assume it's their country where they can be so lawless. They exude who they are, but no, the country of their host does not support it because they know what it means to them.
That is it bro. Yeah you are right |

mrphysics: Take time to read it bro. I had a classmate that is Jordanian. I don't think their country is friendly or worth going to hustle if you are considering that option. The guy seemed more like a racist.
I am shocked we are considering Jordan. Though the people are very intelligent and I am sure, the schools there are doing very well in producing people with such intellectual quality. However, I think its not worth it. Hmmmmm this green passport is really a very big setback. Even the underdeveloped countries still place restrictions on naija passport holders |

eRex: Auto transmission for me was ok... Just dat you may not find such with 4plug engine.
2002/3 to 2006/6 model engine we made in conjunction with ford... They are with timing chain and 5speed auto transmission unlike the 1999 2001 model that came with timing belt and 4 speed transmission.
Driving the higher model 2003-2006 ... U get that ease as the 5th gear gives the engine such ease.
Chai ... I miss my MPV oo Thank you Rex.... Seem like I'll opt for the 2002 and above. Thanks again |
Autos › Re: Would You Advice Me To Buy A Mazda Mpv As My First Car. by jpride(m): 7:47am On Mar 12, 2020 |
eRex: I have never bought a toks o... I buy Nigeria used the models between 2003 and 2005... Price varies due to the soundness of engine and body..
Most of my purchases had one or two fixes.. but I don't buy if it has any engine or gear issues... Major issue I fix is the beam... 35k dem and roughly 5k for workmanship, brake oil etc
If you check my profile you see them all as I also sold dem all..
I use dem for approximately a year and sell off.
I buy Nigeria. Used .. do fixes and use and sell off. I have always made a slight profit in all sales so I don't use dem for long save for the last one I used for two years to avoid Lagos drivers gbas gbos... Engine has never given me issue neither gear... I rarely use ac. Cos the back windows wind down and that was my essence of getting a MPV over the 2000/2002 sienna
Interestingly one of my buyers is a younger brother to my current landlord wife.... He bought the very first MPV I sold in 2005 and he is still using it till date.
I also make use of dedicated MPV mechanics here in Ikorodu... MPV is a common transport vehicle from Ikorodu to ijebu ode.. Ikorodu to Epe so dey have the dedicated MPV mechanics here.
For toks ...it could range between 1.5/1.8...
If you have to go for commercial... I will not recommend the 04/05 model.. it is more of curvy and fancy-full In shape... It's is not as sturdy as the lower models Personally I prefer auto transmission. Is it advisable, considering it's going for transportation? Again, I heard the 2000 model engine ain't as powerful as the 2002 to 05 models. Is it true? |

eRex: No... Best it can do is lift the back which is also a plus because that back bumper when fully loaded can touch the floor on bad road and breaks easily... So raising it helps too
Scenario of how the beam breaks.
If u are over loaded and u gallop( like hump bumps) or hit a deep pothole during speed... You can likely have the beam break.... Not it does not break into two at once ... So I might still have the grace to manage till your destination.
I have used one with a broken beam from Osogbo to Ikorodu Thanks very much brother. Are u using yours for transportation or private? What is your general assessment and advice to intending buyer? |

Autos › Re: Would You Advice Me To Buy A Mazda Mpv As My First Car. by jpride(m): 7:34pm On Mar 11, 2020 |
eRex: Yes and no..
Yes cos it will lift it up for commercial purposes... MPV is normal soft with spring on the back which gives its smooth shock absorbing mechanism...
The "no" part of it is cos once u increase spring.. it becomes sturdy when u get on bad/ not smooth road. U won't enjoy the shocks especially when the back is empty I got your point. But will the extra spring help to protect the beam from breaking? I'm asking cos I'm considering buying this car for commercial use. I've used 2004 Sienna. I don't see any special thing with Sienna. After 8months of use, the engine started smoking and consuming 1litre of oil for every 4hrs drive. I'm thinking of changing d engine and selling it. I'm seriously considering this MPV since it's cheaper to maintain |
Autos › Re: Would You Advice Me To Buy A Mazda Mpv As My First Car. by jpride(m): 2:16pm On Mar 11, 2020 |
eRex: Yes it is. *But*
Do not "overload".
The back suspension can only carry as much weight as stated in the manual.
The running suspension (called the beam) is very smooth but once it breaks due to overload, it cannot be repaired ... It used to cost 35k as at when I bought it last..
Now that is the issue .. what is commercial vehicle without load.? What about adding extra spring? Does that help? |
Romance › Re: He Rough Handled Me On My First Visit To His House!!! HELP by jpride(m): 8:38am On Mar 07, 2020 |
Mimiey: Hello Nairalanders.
He rough handled me on my first visit to his house, claims to want a serious relationship. Can he really be serious about being serious or he is just a play boy?
So I met this guy about two weeks ago close to my street. He calls but I hardly pick. Eventually, I picked and he asked if he could pick me after work and we hangout. I accepted. He picked me up after work last week Friday. He was quite interesting and funny, he talked freely like he had known me for years but he was really so touchy, I had barely spent 5 minutes in the car and he was already touching my shoulder and even when we were inside the bar, he tried tickling me, at a point, he put his hands close to my waist, I removed it. We both discussed if we had someone we are currently seeing, I am not seeing anyone which is the truth, he said there is an Ex but they just have sex and she has her own relationship. When he was dropping me off, he asked for a close hug, I hugged him and he wanted to pull me closer and kiss. I broke free and got down. He said I am not nice.
Well, we met again on Monday, I took just water intentionally. This time I minded the distance between us. He wanted to see again on Tuesday, I declined. Then at work yesterday, he asked to see after closing. I told him he can come briefly to my work and we can talk a bit in the car and part ways. He said he would like to host me at his house instead, I declined.
Anyway, he came, I got in and he started driving and saying, I will know his house today and besides his phone battery his low. My mood changed immediately and he tried to guilt trip me and said okay should we stop on the road and get a place to charge his phone. I then told him to continue driving to his house. He stopped on the way and got snacks. We got into his house. It was nice and neat.
Then we were watching a movie, he sat down and placed my leg on his, I was cool with this. Then he made moves to kiss and I declined and pulled away. All of a sudden, he started breathing fast, hugged me so tight and kissed me despite I kept pulling away and didn't kiss back. I am weak when it comes to my Bosom, then he got there and gave me the roughest and painful squeezing I have ever experienced. I haven't been with any man in about 7 months now, I am single and It's hard for me to do a little thing as even kissing randomly. So he got me there when he got to my bosom but it took only just few seconds to snap out. He continued panting and begging for me to reciprocate, he is so hard and hasn't felt this way in a while.
I told him I don't want this, he went in frustrated, stamping his feet, I tot he had agreed, only for him to come back naked and saying okay, he has heard no sex and "I don't want to force you", so he asked for a dry hump and wanted me to turn my back. I didn't. He still kept breathing hard, like he wont survive the next minute. Then he started begging for a Mouth Action. I declined and told him I wasn't up for that. I tried pulling, away and getting angry. He became even more aggressive, removed the hands I used to protect my chest and forced his way into my bra. It was a struggle and then back to begging till I made it clear in a thunder voice for him to stop and take me home.
Then he agreed, wore his cloths and kept complaining that I don't know what I have caused and he wont be himself. We left his house and he tried stopping at a Pharmacist and said he needs to get ibuprofen, then he didn't stop again and just continued driving.
This morning, he is apologizing and repeating the things he said when we got to his house that he wants something serious with me and he wants us to start something and want it to work out. He asked to come see me at work today but I declined. With this red flags, is there a possibility that he is truly serious like he said? Or he is just doing the usual lies to get the cookie and go away. He has a nice ride and nice house, I suspect he may have girls around him. My concern isn't all these, I just want to be with a serious man who is in for commitment and not just sex.
He rough handled me on my first visit to his house, can he be sincere about wanting to be serious? Even after seeing all the warning signs, you still can't let go because of nice house nice ride... I pity your situation. Besides, u have nothing to offer this guy. You don't know what it takes to build a happy relationship, so grow up first |

akinola001: call it a scammm... i already have a pattern and it is simple.... u only target 10% of your investment... deposit 16k..... most vlf has 8games per day.... bet on all the games draw.. that is 8 bet.... after the game bet on the row/no team that you loose .....before day 18all row must have draw and you have all your money back..... for the calculation on amout to bet and the excel spreadsheet you can ibox me.... 100% sure no lost....
target 10% of 16000=1600 1600 from 8rows/game. 1600/8= 200 that meas u want to win ju 200from each row. and odd for draw is always high.... i.e. you have 16000 to win 200.. but at the end of each season you have 10%of that 16000...=1600 if you can play 5season in a day then u have 8000perday....NO SINGLE LOST .
