PhonesRe: Guys Using N900, Advise Me, Am Planning To Buy The Phone by Judeylive(m): 12:14am On Oct 06, 2010
texazzpete:
Yes, to use the appstore you need an itunes account. And creating an itunes account for free is extremely easy. There are tons of guides floating round the net for that. Plus you can also you gift cards to purchase stuff from itunes if you want. However, there are loads of free apps that can easily fill your phone, and lots of commercial apps that show a high degree of polish than most Nokia apps can't dream of.
Unlocked iPhones are everywhere, firmware upgrades are never too far away if you know what you're doing. Jailbreaking your iPhone is far less painless than much of the tweaking you guys do on your N900, and it gets rid of that 'walled garden' in many ways. The iPhone does mobile computing and mobile entertainment very well indeed.

I won't argue with you, the N900 is a great device. Just pointing out a few things as a long term iPhone user.
Texazzpete, Plz I need to discuss something important with you. Are you on facebook? Or can you give me your email addy?

PoliticsRe: Can The North Secede? by Judeylive(m): 9:36am On Sep 27, 2010
MacJive, you are so disillusioned. You just mishmash several parallel ideas. Lemme just point one point clear for you. A country is a geographical land mass not defined by tribe. Do you know many Yoruba speaking people in Togo, or hausa peope in Chad? Are they Nigerians?
PoliticsRe: Can The North Secede? by Judeylive(m): 4:46pm On Sep 26, 2010
Clearly, only few people here really know what they are talking about. Very few! Secession is a very delicate and trivia issue, and it should be treated as such. Some people might see Ojukwu as an hero today, but that's because they weren't alive when the war was going on, or they didn't get stumped in life because their parent were no more to take care of them emotionally and educationally! Yeah, no doubt, the northerners were killing Ibos, and the foolish northern head of state didn't do anything about it, but Ojukwu didn't reason ahead, he didn't pause for a moment to think about the possibility of the failure of his actions. He even ran abroad during the war, and would probably have muttered to himself; 'Foolish people keep killing each other' while sipping a cup of hot coffee! What is the outcome of the war he caused? Political segregation of the Igbos and South East and South-South at large! Enmity! Mistrust! Exactly what is happening right now in this forum!
For the people championing that North could, and won't secede, why is North clinging desperately on Nigeria, why did they fought the civil war with their lives?
While you guys are busy lashing out at each other, maybe you should take sometimes to reflect, The United States of A that we know today is not made of only one tribe. Matter of fact, the land currently known as USA is owned by the red Indians. My point is: It doesn't matter how many tribe we have, or the land we occupies, we can still work/walk as one! We can still work together to make Nigeria a great nation. Divided, Biafra, The Norths, The Wests are just powerless small nation with no significance in the world. But unified as Nigeria, we are powerful and strong, and with proper leadership, we can bring the world to our feet.
But definitely not on the current system. Not on a system where we worry ourselves on rubbish things like 'zoning'. Where the Northerners can't bear the thought of losing their grip on power! If any zone should be screaming for zoning, it should be South East!
And Nigeria is where it is right now, a very poor and unstable country because of the northerners. Eat my shorts, if you will!! Nigeria gained independence almost 50 years ago. Out of the 50 years, how many times/years has the power been with the North? The zone that produced the likes of Abacha and IBB! (Do I need to say more?) The zone that is synonymous to religion conflicts (like they know anything about the Q'uran or the Hadith. Nowhere in the Quran was it stated that you should kill your fellow men/women because of Him (Allah), not to talk of any other things.)
I'm sure you guys have heard of 'boko haram'! Western education is a sin? Can you imagine such profanity? But the illiteracy, that is bringing their overly barbarism out isn't a sin? I don't even want to make a comment about that. The North has caused more harm than good to Nigeria.
But yet, 'secession' isn't the answer! And deliberating about it here, more like fighting and exchanging abuses here surely isn't the way either!

PoliticsRe: Why I Formed New Political Party —soyinka ! by Judeylive(m): 2:14pm On Jul 24, 2010
For all ye critcizing Soyinka's action in forming the Political Party, I have some questions for you, What do you know about him?(Aside from the fact that he is a Nobel Laureate). Do you know what he has endured in the face of tyranny? When he was advocating for democracy, where was all these idiots ruling you now? (state governors and ministers). When he was thrown to jail for been a thorn in the flesh of oppressors, where were they? He has single handedly fought for the masses more than all the political leaders combined together. When the issue of Niger-Delta got to a peak, he conveyed 50 of his fellow Nobel Laureates to Nigeria to advocate for peace! Who was paying him to do all these? Your fathers? Now, he has decided to even risk his life further, by forming a political party, which will put him directly infront of open fire, you guys are opening your mouths and allowing maggots to come out? I bet you guys were giving thanksgiving in Churches and Mosques when IBB made the statement that youths are too stupid to rule Nigeria.

Do you have a better alternative.Any alternative at all?
PoliticsRe: Lets Participate In The Change: by Judeylive(op): 11:54am On Sep 17, 2009
I was asked to discuss some Nigeria issues, i never said anything about going on air with my plans. I cannot do that,

So, Afam, Apart from talking, what else have you done about this Nigeria problem? After the talking you'll probably feel cool with yourself and go back to bed?
Plz i dont want us to start talking back at each other here, because apparently thats what most people do here, Abusing, arguing, showing off their knowledge,
I was doing this before, untill i decided it wasnt going to change anything, I have to stand up and put my words into action, I started writting and posting it everywhere, untill i also knew thats not gonna change much too, Its like an ant cry among elephants. So i went back thinking. I thought so hard untill i was sure i was going to go mad, Then i came up with a plan, And here we are. So,what have I done wrong? I thought you guys thats wise enough to bother checking the Politics Forum will understand me. I thought i will be encouraged, But you guys are picking on me, Criticizing me.For what? Are you guys comfortable with this situation in Nigeria? Everything is going wrong? Why are you attacking someone that is ready for the change. Why are we still divided even among us? Why are we been cowards? Why cant we just come together to change things. Why cant we just share ideas and come up with a formidable plan! Anywhere two or more intelligent people are in agreement cant remain the same.We can get more than 50 patriotic intelligent people in Nigeria, We can do this! I need help! I cant do this alone, I'm begging you guys to come forward, Its going to be hard, but it cant get harder than it is already, You guys might not understand this because you can still afford to browse, Some people cant afford to eat all, Millions of people! We have the resources.Nigeria is rich enough to feed half of Africa if we are governed well, We Have to START from somewhere!!

PoliticsRe: Lets Participate In The Change: by Judeylive(op): 9:54am On Sep 16, 2009
I've re-read this thread and I understand the skepticism. A lot of people have stood up in the past in this site, gave some people hope, only to disappear into thin air along with the hope of people!
Its so sad. I know!
But still, giving me chance to explain myself a little bit might be helpful considering Ive be online for the past two days for this plan to work and ive gotten just one positive response, which is frustrating. But i wont give up!

Believe me,i'm not planning something small to just include talking. All we do is talk. But we all know the problem we have in Nigeria, even a baby knows, A baby would have heard it thousand times, We all know who to blame, We all know who is guilty of corruption! The annoy thing is : They are not hiding it anymore, they probably think Nigerians are stupid, they might be right because we know the truth, but do nothing about it,

From all angles,it has shown these leaders are cowards. All thieves are coward anyway! With a little bit pressure, they will buckle, We just need intelligent and brave people to appy the pressure,
We know their weak points, they dont want to be exposed. We expose them, How many investigative reporter do we have in Nigeria? None? We raise them up.We establish a newspaper to carry this out (I have a crazy idea how we can get one), Haue u guys seen Punch lately, the only paper in Nigeria that tells the closest thing to the truth? It has become an ad paper! Over 25 pages of ads!

Let us plan and use their own resources against them. Lets utilise their ineffectiveness to their disadvantage,

These and many other stuffs, I know what im talking about, I know its not gonna be easy, I know its not gonna happen overnight, Thats why it requires intelligent people coming together to plan!

Lets be the REVOLUTIONARIES without the violence, or at least a controlled violence,
The amount of people a soldier will kill within a period,it will require a lesser time if done by a scholar!
A lot of people are out there hiding, all they need is people to guide them and they will fight for the cause,
By now we should know that only a Positive FORCE can solve the Nigeria problem,
Talking cannot solve it again. The way i see it,a lot of good Nigerians are turning to the opposite, We Can Do This!

PoliticsRe: Lets Participate In The Change: by Judeylive(op): 9:21pm On Sep 14, 2009
Yeah, I know. I know there are people like you out there who dont believe,do nothing about it but plenty talks, who discourages the few ready to take action!
But I also know, i will not give up, It might take some time for me to gather committed and patriotic fellow people to carry out my plan, but I wont give up!

PoliticsLets Participate In The Change: by Judeylive(op): 12:37pm On Sep 14, 2009
The Nigerian Issue! The few of us thats truly interested in the change, thats apalled by the situation of Nigeria, have done nothing but talks, talks and talks! The truth is we have been talking for too long and for a long time now! Nothing have changed, things are getting worse. Our (we) youths have lost the way. When the present leaders were youth, they werent as corrupt as us! Now,imagine the present youth taking up the leadership of this country!
Nobody is taking a bold step to effect the change. These days everybody has gotten used to the song of change! Politician sings it. Corrupt people sings it. It has become a theme song! We graduate from a University that is paralysed into a sick society that caters for nobody except the rich. We dance and merry while the money that belongs to over 150 million people is been squandered and laundered by less than 25,000 corrupt leaders! Our senators are fighting over 'allowances' abandoning the mass that voted for them,

You know the situation,so i dont need to start ranting,

Before, we still have people fighting for us albeit unsuccessful, now, they are getting old and dying off!

I say we stand up against them.I say we use our patriotic spirit and our intelligence against them. I say we use their resources against them, I say we stop talking and give it back to them in force.I say we do it now, once and for all!

Im trying to locate people like us who is ready for actions,we can deliberate on some sketchy plans i have, turn it to a masterplan and execute,
People are out there hiding, waiting for a push! I say we get them and work together,

Plz email me at: change-nigeria@yuurok.com so we can discuss at lenghh!
PoliticsNigeria For Change by Judeylive(op): 11:21pm On Sep 13, 2009
Believe me,Nigeria is no near any change at all.
We cant start counting Nigeria's problem, No Road! No Water! No Electricity! No Job! So, what do we have? Corruption. We keep talking,no Action! Its time we rise up to the Challenge,
Our youth have lost hope. They have started following in the step of the adult, They've shown us force in forms of corruption, let us show them force back! How can we allow the fate of over 140million people to be marshed upon by lesser than 25,000 corrupt leaders!
Our leaders have shown us that they believes NOT in negotiation, what they need is force. They abandoned Niger Delta untill ND start kidnapping people! Now they want negotiation! Same with ASUU,
Nigerians are loosing hope, lets be the source of hope for them!
I need just few over 300 PATRIOTIC people, and we'll embark on a masterplan to change Nigeria once and for all!! Plz inbox me or send a mail to change-nigeria@yuurok.com if you are truly interested in a change for Nigera. If we continue talking and doing nothing,we'll be getting worse everyday. Ghana was down before, they lost their value, They were broke and they ran to Nigeria, We pursued them away after sometimes, sic GHANA MUST GO BAG, they went back to their country and rebuild it,today Nigerians are running to Ghana, Inbox me now and lets plan!
