BusinessAlternatives For Paypal by Judeylive(op): 2:06am On Sep 19, 2012
Hello Guys,
So, I want to start doing some transactions online that requires people to pay me. But the problem is the means to do that. I've read so many posts about paypal on here - but all of them seems farcical to me. I really don't subscribe to the whole clandestine affair of hiding IP, registering with other countries and all those pseudo-illegal methods.

Are there no other ways that are 100% legit and straightforward? Any other site that renders the same services as paypal and generally accepted that do not frown on Nigeria?
PoliticsWhy Are We Been Tribalistic When The Real Problem Is Corruption! by Judeylive(op): 4:13pm On Jun 11, 2011
When I see the kind of posts on here, I just shake my head and spit out at the state of mind of some Nigerians. Why are Nigerians in competition against each other? Why do we rejoice at each other's woe? The fact that a particular tribe did something well doesnt mean the others cant achieve same feat. Why is that if something terrible happens in Igboland, the Yoruba/Hausa will be happy, cursing out at them and excluding themselves out. Why is it that if Hausas started their killings, the Igbo and Yoruba will start cursing the Hausa forgeting the people killed and their relatives. What actually concerned them is that it is Hausas that did the deeds. Tell me, don't Igbos and Yoruba kill their brothers for rituals? Now, I'm not excluding the Hausa from the crimes, but it will be more effective if we all join hands and fight against against the killers. Afterall, not all Hausas are killers and not all Igbos and Yorubas are saints.

Why do we keep biting at each other throats when we know the terrible things all the tribes are doing have a cummulative effects on all of us in Nigeria?

If we can have a profund affection for a brother from Ghana, why cant we extend such grace to our fellow country men?

While we are busy fighting each other, our leaders, who are the real problems are uniting together to rob us all of our birthrights. Doesnt it amazes you guys the way the House always unanimously agree and vote instantly for their salary or allowance increase? But they will never implement any law that will provide jobs for you and I. They will leave our universities unfunded, below standards and they will send their children abroad for schooling. They will leave the hospitals unequipped and go abroad to check the extra strand of hair growing on their hands or for any slight headache. Meanwhile, who will go to those hospitals? Is it the politians or the Hausa, Igbos and Yorubas?

For the Igbos, is a honest hausa/yoruba man doing his trade sincerly a more enemy to you than your representatives in the house siphoning monies into his account abroad?

To the Yorubas, is that Igbo trader a more enemy to you than Bankole who connives with other leaders to steal our money?

To the Hausa, are those dudes from the south helping your economy out a more enemy to you than your governors using all the allocations to his state to run around marrying a million wives?

Cant you guys see you are vesting your anger and annoyance on the wrong set of people? G.E.J and Sambo wont be on each other throats like we do on Nairaland, instead they will be strategizing to either move this country forward or to enrich their pockets. Whatever they decided to do, they will do it together forgetting the part of the country they come from.

The problem of Nigeria, as we all know, is corruption. And i'm sure 'corruption' is not from any particular tribe in Nigeria but from our politicians who will do anything to enrich their pockets.

Why cant we all join hands together and fight against our enemy instead of ourselves. And we all know who the real enemy is.
TV/MoviesThe Matrix: Which Pill Will You Choose, The Red Or Blue? by Judeylive(op): 5:01pm On Feb 26, 2011
You've all seen the movie Matrix right?

Do you guys remember when Morpheus offered Neo two pills. The blue pill that would return him back to his old life in the matrix, and continue wallowing in ignorance. And the red pill that will show him the truth about the world as it is in its harsh condition

My question is: Which pill will you take if you are offered the same choice?

Please provide a detailed reason for your choice.

thank you!
Christianity EtcRe: Christians Protecting Muslims During Their Prayers In Egypt by Judeylive(m): 4:31am On Feb 04, 2011
Hmmm, Like someone said earlier, you guys should see it this way, let's imagine there's an holocaust invasion in nigeria, Like a million angry and hungry whale-sized, fire spiting dragon are feasting on Nigerians, are you telling me there will be regionalization? i guess we will be helping each other out, but come to think of it, our northern "un-brothers" can actually let the dragon eat up a southerner cos he will perceived him to be an enemy of the north and Islam. Just one infidel that he helped out of the way will go a long way in helping his jihad.

But my God, Islam is a peaceful religion. Trust me on this, cos I was a staunch muslim before I saw the light, The people practising it has basterdize the religion especially our northern unbrothers. Along with Islam, they imported so many arabian culture that go parallel to our belief here down south!
PoliticsRe: Presidential Debate - Battle Of The Campaigners by Judeylive(m): 6:51pm On Jan 17, 2011
Gbawe:
Good post Debosky. Fans of GEJ should also tell us why GEJ , if he is not "more of the same" ,worked for the return of a man (Uduaghan) deemed an election rigger by a competent law Court when Mr. President had hypocritically told Nigerians earlier that Nigeria would not make progress unless votes count? Does anyone feel that a President truly aware of one of Nigeria's biggest problem (election rigging) and dedicated to finding a solution should be the one working for the re-election efforts of discredited election riggers instead of fighting tooth and nail to ensure legislation come in ASAP to back the automatic banning and sanctioning of those who truncate the electoral will of Nigerians?  Simply Incredible !!!

Can Nigerians see any gains in a Jonathan Presidency when Mr. President sold his soul to the devil with how his hideous deals ensured many indolent misrulers have now been returned as PDP Governorship candidate?  Who is not ashamed for Oyo State with how they may have to parade alao Akala as their Governor for another four years? Self-defeatist is it not? What good Governance does Jonathan want to deliver with the likes of Alao-Akala effectively articulating his leadership at state level and 'quenching' any allocation disbursed to his State? Has Jonathan , indirectly, not let down the people of Oyo State? Why does GEJ have to be part of a deliberate effort to impose wicked and indolent leaders on Nigerians if he is not wicked himself ? Why ?

Jonathan began the attempt to get Mark and bankole on board early . Nairalanders , pray tell me why a President who wants to be effective would seek the return of a Senate present and Speaker of the House who will ensure he has a very indolent, frustrating and self-serving legislature to work with? The problems with jonathan are too many and too obvious . All his desperate choices , calculated to gain him power, will ensure he is "dead on arrival " and incapable of doing anything good for Nigeria. There is no doubt about that. Nothing explains this notion more than how the most ruinous hands alive in Nigeria's history are right behind Jonathan. One really has to question the way nigerians view things with so many of them still willing to cast a vote for a man who has shown he represents indolence, corruption, expediency, patronage system, inducement, etc etc.

I've noticed certain trends here in the US among Nigerian immigrants, and from my observations and readings of Nigerian newspapers, those trends are also true in Nigeria. If this makes me a "tribalist", so be it.

PoliticsRe: The Brain Box Of Nigeria: Anambra Or Ekiti? by Judeylive(m): 9:49am On Nov 19, 2010
chino11:
You have continued to expose the typical Yoruba void mentality on the alter of NL. Face reality for once in your live. The entire SW (except lagos which is not yorubaland) tell me what the SW can easily boast ofhuh? From oyo to ogun, ondo to ekiti you still have mud houses in their respective state capitals which are over 100 decades. What is the essence of education if not to give us (humanbeing) a better life and living.

An average Igboman in the SW is seen as an oyibo because he lives in a good house and eats good food. Little wonder whn you behold an Igboman he is well fed, unlike an average yorobaman who resembles their almajiri brothers from the north. Like I said before what is political power without economic powerhuh? Obj ruled for 8yrs and you still have those caves and mud houses in the whole of SW capital cities. You stil have touts all over the SW killing pple all over the yorubaland.

You still have your state capitals look like glorify local councils. GEJ culdnt have made a political statement in Anambra, because the whole world not only in Nigeria knew that Anambra is an economic power. Ok tell me that UN Habitat made a political statement when they selected Onitsha among the five fast growing cities if the world huh

Ok read anuofia ofe mmanu : http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/features/powergame/2010/oct/17/powergame-17-10-2010-005.htm
Why do uninformed people make such a big fuss like this? You know what you are saying is totally wrong but you are saying them,anyway. Maybe because you are a liar, or you got carried away by the argument.

The bolded part: What Igbos do in Ondo and Ekiti is petty traders. They sell buns, icecream, aba-made stuffs and spare parts. They live in a room rented apartments and they own not any form of transportation except their goods cart. Not even a bicycle. I cant take it from them, they are hard working, and tis only an Igbo man that will mount a box full of buns and hawk around the street shamelessly. Their forehead has turned to ridges.

I said Ondo and Ekiti cos I grew up there and I'm 100% sure of what I'm talking about.

Oh yes, you can reply with insults and abuses. It is only here on nairaland that you see educated childish illiterates. They attack your FACTS with insults.

Good night by the way, I am outta here. . . . 4 now. LOL
The bolded part just show how uninformed you are. Yeah, you can reply with 'insults' and 'abuses' cause that's how underdogs vent out their frustrations!

SalisuOri:
No offence to you sir, but if you believe that tony blair is still relevant in UK politics you are mistaken. He is all about the money now hence his work for the big financial institutes as an "advisor". If Blair really wanted to endorse GEJ and help him keep power, he would've kept quiet and done his bidding silently. This is about chopping GEJ's money before they desert him one by one for a leader who the west can actually work with. GEJ is not on the same intelligence, charisma, experience level of Blair or any senior statesmen i.e they will not leave Nigeria's oil in GEJ's inexperienced hands knowing he and his "aides" will loot everything to the highest bidder.

PoliticsRe: The Brain Box Of Nigeria: Anambra Or Ekiti? by Judeylive(m): 12:26am On Oct 20, 2010
I'm surprised at most people here claiming Anambra can't be compared to Ekiti state and going on talking about resources and development when the basis of comparison has been stated to be BRAIN BOX! How do you guys manage to pass up to this level if you can't interpret accurately a simple question?

What is brain box about? This have to do with the intellectual prowess of an individual, but in this case, a state. Ekiti is the fountain of knowledge of Nigeria, but that has nothing to do with brain box or intellectual, and it dwells on academic achievement. Today, Ekiti state has the highest number of professors. A single town in Ekiti State, Okemesi-Ekiti, has over 30 professors. A single town!  shocked shocked shocked

While Ekiti pack up profs, Anambra has been producing industrous people to include
Professor Chinua Achebe - a native of Ogidi and best known for the classic, Things Fall Apart was the first African writer whose books are standard curricula in schools and universities across the world.
Emeka Anyaoku - the first black Secretary-General of the Commonwealth;
Nnamdi Azikiwe Owelle of Onitsha - the first President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and historically, the only man whose name appeared in the Constitution of his country (Nigeria's Republican Constitution of 1963).
Nwafor Orizu - the first Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Professor Kenneth Dike - a pre-eminent scholar of African History and native of Awka, was the first indigenous Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan and founder of the National Archives.
Professor Ben Enwonwu - a native of Onitsha was the first Nigerian sculptor of international repute with artwork gracing the United Nations headquarters.
Pius Okigbo, CON - a world renowned economist, was the first economic advisor to the Federal government of Nigeria (1960–1962), first Nigerian Ambassador to the European Community and renowned for bringing to light over $12 billion missing in oil windfall receipts from the Central Bank of Nigeria during the first Gulf War.
Professor Samuel Okoye - was black Africa's first PhD in Radio Astronomy who along with Anthony Hewish of the University of Cambridge discovered the radio source of Crab Nebula neutron star.
Chief Jerome Udoji - from Ozubulu , a social reformer was the first African to be made a 'D.O' (District Officer) by the Colonial Administration.

Chimamanda Adichie

Others include:
Chimamanda Adichie - an up-and-coming writer who won the Orange Prize for Fiction (2007) and a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship (2008);
Dora Akunyili - ex-head of NAFDAC and current Minister of Information won international awards for cleansing Nigeria of the scourge of fake drugs;
Cardinal Francis Arinze - once considered a potential Pope;
Cyprian Ekwensi - MFR, a writer of international repute
Philip Emeagwali - winner of the 1989 Gordon Bell Prize for Supercomputing;
Prof Chike Obi - a Mathematician famous for his work on non-differential equations won the 1985 ICTP Price [11] and developed a special solution for Fermat's Last Theorem
Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu - a native of Nnewi who was the first Nigerian millionaire and first president of the Nigerian Stock Exchange;
Dim Emeka Ojukwu - the leader of the secessionist Biafra Republic;
Osita Osadebe - a popular Nigerian Highlife musician who also holds the Nigerian record for the highest selling album
Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo - a famous economist who spearheaded Nigerian economic reform from 1999–2008 and was ex-head of the Central Bank of Nigeria;

Now, if we want to talk about development (which is out of the topic)

Anambra is rich in natural gas, crude oil, bauxite, ceramic and has an almost 100 percent arable soil. Most of its natural resources is largely untapped.

In the year 2006, foundation laying ceremony for the first Nigerian private refinery Orient Petroleum Refinery (OPR) was made at Nsugbe-Umuleri area. The Orient Petroleum Resource Ltd, (OPRL) owners of OPR, was licensed in June 2002, by the Federal Government to construct a private refinery with a 55,000 b/d capacity.

Furthermore, Anambra state is a state that has many other resources in terms of agro-based activities like fishery and farming, as well as land cultivated for pasturing and animal husbandry.

On the other hand, Ekiti only resources is in agricultural resources with cocoa as its leading cash crop. It was largely known that Ekiti land constituted well over 40% of the cocoa products of the famous old Western Region.

Now compare and contrast yourself,

What can a million packs of prof do with 'agricultural resources with cocoa as its leading cash crop' that will be measurable to what industrious and elite people will do with 'natural gas, crude oil, bauxite, ceramic and has an almost 100 percent arable soil' ?

And if you want me to provide you with links for all the datas above, i will, www.google.com cool
