chiraqDemon: Bro it's why u are a man, women were built to talk, as a man u just ignore them. A man that beats up a woman for talking too much lacks self control and definitely should forsake his "man" title. On the other hand, if she had slapped him first I would support the man for retaliating, but I certainly wouldn't support him doing it in front of his kids, and I certainly don't support him beating her up and even going as far as drawing blood. The man went too far in this circumstance. Both parties in a relationship should exercise self control in words and in deed. Women can talk no mean say there shouldn't be caution. Most times words have a very damaging effects on whom it's being addressed to. Words could lead to low self esteem, frustration, lack of confidence. There are better ways of handling a nagging woman, beating no be solution because the woman would always gain the sympathy of the public. |

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), and the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), have pledged unalloyed support for the transformation stride of the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Dr. Maikanti Baru.
Speaking during a solidarity visit to the GMD, National President of PENGASSAN, Comrade Francis Johnson, said the unions and their members considered it appropriate to rally round the GMD and the NNPC Management to pledge their support.
https://news.assure.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/PENGASSAN-NUPENG-Pledge-Support-for-Baru-Photos.jpg
Comrade Johnson said the unions’ support for the GMD was based on his ability to walk his talk since assuming office last year.
“The National body of PENGASSAN and all the NNPC in-house unions are here today to show our support for you. You have brought stability to the NNPC and we are happy today that staff morale is high. You were Chairman of NNPC Anti-Corruption Committee for over five years and that was what informed your appointment as GMD of NNPC. Today, all the bullets you are taking are on behalf of members of staff. We will continue to pray for you, God will continue to guide and shield you,” Comrade Johnson assured.
The PENGASSAN President called on Nigerians to be cautious of their comments on the controversy, adding that any wrong information was capable of discouraging investors from the oil and gas industry which is the highest foreign exchange earner.
The unions’ visit came on the heels of the recent controversies over a letter the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu forwarded to the President alleging non-adherence to due process by the Management of NNPC in some contract administration.
The NNPC Group Chairman of PENGASSAN, Comrade Sale Abdullahi, who also spoke during the visit to the GMD, stated that their concern had to do with the need to protect not only the GMD but the NNPC as an institution.
https://news.assure.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/PENGASSAN-NUPENG-Pledge-Support-for-Baru-Photos2.jpg
He noted that Dr. Baru had streamlined the processes and procedures in the Corporation leading to the full restructuring which was beginning to yield positive results.
“Today, the GMD and NNPC Management receive inputs from staff and this gesture by Dr. Baru has given members of staff a sense of belonging. Today, our inputs are being implemented and we are highly motivated,” Comrade Abdullahi stated.
Supporting these positions, the Group Chairman of NNPC NUPENG, Comrade Udofia Odudu Benjamin, said the unions would continue to pray for divine guidance for Dr. Baru and the entire NNPC management
Earlier, the Chairman of NNPC Corporate Headquarters Chapter of PENGASSAN, Comrade Mathew Duru, reiterated the continued support of the unions for the Dr. Baru-led management.
“We just want to tell the GMD from the bottom of our hearts that we are with him and the Top Management; that we are behind the GMD who has done very well in turning the fortunes of the Corporation around”, the union leader stated.
He said since Dr. Baru assumed office, he had succeeded in clearing the air of uncertainty that prevailed in the corporation because of visionless reforms that left NNPC on the brink of collapse.
He also said the GMD succeeded in resolving the NNPC Pension challenge that had led to disenchantment among staff. “We are with you. We want to let you know that you are not an orphan”, Mr. Matthew emphasized.
https://news.assure.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/PENGASSAN-NUPENG-Pledge-Support-for-Baru-Photos7.jpg
Responding, Dr. Baru dismissed the allegations of award of contracts without regard to due process as unfounded and unfortunate. He explained that as a former chairman of the NNPC Anti-Corruption Committee, he would be the last person to breach the procurement process by disregarding extant laws and rules.
The GMD said both the NNPC Act and Public Procurement Act vested procurement powers on the NNPC Tenders Board, the President and the Federal Executive Council (FEC) depending on the cost threshold, stressing that the NNPC Board had no role whatsoever in the process.
“I know for those of you who are following what we are doing here, you know that there’s no money lost and no process has been breached. Our contracting process is perfect and we will continue to follow the process. The NNPC Board has no role, I repeat, has no role as far as the contracting process is concerned”, Dr. Baru emphasized, adding that the NNPC Tenders Board was made up of the GMD as Chairman and the Group Executive Directors as members.
On the crude term contract and the DSDP agreements, he explained: “These are not contract as such, they are essentially pre-qualification of off-takers of crude oil and in the case of DSDP, of those that will take crude and give us products in return. So there is no value to them. But humongous figures have been put forward mainly to incite the public, it is most unfortunate”.
On the allegation of lop-sided promotions, the GMD asked the union leaders if their members felt disenchanted to which the unionists chorused a resounding “no”.
He urged the union leaders to enlighten their members on the facts and encourage them to go about their duties without distraction.

Politics › Re: Kenneth Ugochukwu Asks Court To Arrest, Repatriate Nnamdi Kanu From UK by JuicyStar: 11:48am On Oct 09, 2017 |
CeterisXVII: Sir, this dummy will not fly. In fact the person flying this kite, has just shot himself in the rear, by doing this. Let me explain. If Kanu was able to find his way into the British embassy in Benin Republic or Cameroun, as a British citizen he may ask for help on medical grounds or whateva humanitarian grounds, he can think of. The embassy has an obligation to help its' citizens in need. All they need to do, is give him a temporary travel document with which he can travel to the UK. Once he gets abroad, he can start processing another passport through the Home Office, under the guise that his passport went missing, or was stolen, or whateva. I have seen it happen before... live!
Secondly, British embassy officials cannot be summoned to answer any case in Nigerian courts in respect of Kanu, due to the diplomatic immunity they have. They can provide answers to the foreign affairs ministry, who would then tender their documented 'official' position, responses or written letters in court.
Thirdly, the level of British commercial interests or trade in Nigeria is worth millions of dollars. Trade between Nigeria and UK is expected to reach $4.5 billion dollars post-Brexit period. Do you think Britain would risk the value of these investments for Kanu, who has Nigerian ancestry (and not even British one, o!) even though he simply carries their passport? Think again.
Would Britain jeopardise that volume of trade and antagonise the Nigerian govt, in favour of Kanu? I think not! He is not a member of their royal family, secret service, armed forces or government, o! His group has also been branded a terrorist group by the Nigerian govt, and Britain has strong anti-terrorism laws and regulations in place now, especially with the recent occurrences in Britain!
Finally, Kanu's brother has just tightened the noose around Abaribe's neck. If the Federal govt gets a good lawyer, they will turn the case around and compel Abaribe to produce Kanu. Failure to do so, will lead to a drama that will not be easily forgotten. Kanu's brother and lawyer are doing all these to pre-empt the October 17th case. We are all waiting and watching to see how this drama plays out. Thanks for this analysis. Some people would just come out with their beer parlour analysis and believe they are making sense. People should learn to use facts to substantiate any assertion |

mdokaba1: It was a very stressful week for me as it involved lots of travels and all. So its a Saturday and I was paid for a project I did for the month past.
Going by my tired nature, I knew deep down me that there was no way I could have made it to church the next day and I was hell bent on paying my tithe because of the inherent blessings therein and the last thing on my mind would be to give it to my nebor to pay it for me. (The guy broke and besides I didn't want him to start calculating my take-home (Na sharp man). And I knew deep down that if I keep the money till the next time I would be in church, I was sure I would spend it. (God have mercy on me sha)
So I decided even before getting home to package my tithe and while in the market on a shopping spree I package my tithe and dropped it in the plate of an old beggar. (A mulsim beggar precisely)
Instantly, I saw 50 shades of shocks on her face as she looked at me for a few seconds and I could read her facials more like "For this Buharia?" Lols. And before I disappeared into the crowd, I could see/read her lips mutter prayers pointing towards me. And deep down, I felt blessed and fulfilled.
But was I wrong to have given my 10percent to a beggar instead of to the alter?
Opinions please. I appreciate ur good heart by giving to the poor BUT in this case u are wrong. Don't call this Giving of Tithe better still call it Giving of Alms. Whichever way u choose to give ur money, there's certainly a reward attached. |

It's painful to see people who have a good course fight it with a wrong strategy. Agitation is not a bad movement but carefully defining ur goal and mapping out strategy to achieve same is key. Rather than abuse everyone and turn the nation to chaos why can't they mount pressure on the politicians from the east to initiate a constitutional amendment process to accommodate referendum.
One thing is certain that no politician benefiting from the present structure wants restructuring and sessation. All these meetings are shakara just to appear that they are making moves. Is it a senator or rep. member that is earning fat salaries and allowances that would want to give powers to the states thereby reducing the money that goes to the federal? Is it a senator or rep. member that is enjoying in Abuja that would want Biafra to go thereby making them unqualified to be a member of nigeria national assembly. Abi na successful ignore trader scattered around nigeria that would want Biafra?
I bet that even if referendum is to be conducted, u would see how politicians from the east would mobilise their people against it.
My advice is that the Agitation should rather be against perceived marginalisation and need of inclusion in the scheme of things. |

I'm really not understanding what's happening here. Soon after the attack, Kanu's brother said he knows where Kanu is but wouldn't disclose it to the public. Also, after the Army declared Ipob a terrorist group this same lawyer said that he has been "briefed" by his client Kanu to challenge the declaration. So if he was taken aware by the army how then was he briefed?
Oga lawyer u are getting something wrong; Kanu need not be in court for the issue of his sureties can be addressed by the court. In fact his non appearance in court makes it easy for the court to conclude that he has jumped bail. The only way of escape is to bring concrete evidence that he was actually taken away by the Army.
As it is, it's either the Army or the Lawyer is lying as to the whereabout of Kanu. The truth can't be hidden for ever. Na the sureties I just dey feel for. |

The reason I responded was ur opening comment which related to the price and how 400k can change ur life. That shows that ur major issue with the phone is the price. Living above ones means is not about the price of a thing but about ur monetary capacity. NaijaTechGuy: Alright a couple of days ago, Apple launched the new iPhone X alongside the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus cleverly skipping the iPhone 9.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-OJrB-3D7Uoo/WcE_Flbi6KI/AAAAAAAAKwE/afG7QwNFz9wHKct-7l7gvv-wQoHFZhAUQCHMYCw/s2560/%255BUNSET%255D.jpg
Like most Apple devices, the iPhone X broke the bank, costing over £999 (that's basically almost N400,000 in my currency)
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-StnOZhhkJj0/WcE_FFnmVYI/AAAAAAAAKwA/09hH-XPK6iIcTsLLDSO5as4FD362yEitgCHMYCw/s2560/%255BUNSET%255D.gif
Me right now.. Trying to figure out how N400k can change someone's life
I'll be quite honest I can't see any ground breaking feature on the iPhone X.
Is it the Design?
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 obviously does better.
No Physical Home Button? Yeah.. Probably because Samsung ditched theirs
Yeah they dumped the head phone jacks for Airpods?
I'm not trying to be a cheapskate but why should anyone get wireless headphones that cost $159 (N60,000). I'd rather get a quality headset (Beats By Dr Dre). And what happens if one gets missing?
It has secure Face ID that can only be wrong one in a million times?
Did you watch the iPhone X launch at the Apple Headquarters in Cupertino. Face ID couldn't unlock the phone. I guess that was the one in a million times they meant. Apple didn't tell us what happens if identical twins try to unlock one phone.I guess the passcode is just a secure way to bypass the whole debacle. Samsung comes with Iris Scanning and Fingerprint Scanning.
Dual Camera Setup and Wireless Charging ? I shouldn't be saying this but you and I know they're not the first to do this. There's totally nothing new here.
A lot of us expected Apple to add the touch ID beneath the screen but they never did. Vivo actually beat them to that feature.
With all the smartphones available in the world, I'd say it's really unwise for anyone waste $1,000 for stolen, exaggerated, reused and almost useless features.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-zDLk-h4fzTw/WcE_HOTsbBI/AAAAAAAAKwI/9nom02wXolMbb8LifX32A5W8xgxNC6lrgCHMYCw/s2560/%255BUNSET%255D.gif
Apple has always been trying to sabotage Samsung and the entire Android OS. The iPhone X’s screen is quite inferior to that of the S8 in terms of pixel density and brightness and they had the nerve to market it as "the future of smartphones".
Seriously "$1000" for a smartphone is daylight robbery. You can even get any affordable smartphone with similar features for less than that price.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-L-v4BD4Xmq8/WcE_I4XCSeI/AAAAAAAAKwQ/gYeIzlaguM4elnpvduWhw-J2XTeRKD9nQCHMYCw/s2560/%255BUNSET%255D.gif
Apple definitely has a very strong marketing scheme that causes people to go crazy over them. I don't know how they do it, but congrats to them but I'd rather not fork out $1000 for a new smartphone.
You'd think Apple would listen to people and fix a lot of things on their Anniversary device to mark the end of a decade since the existence of the iPhone but "No" , they're try to take our eyes off what they've not done.
1.You still can't install Apps outside the Apple Store

Apple makes massive profits from their devices due to the monopoly they enjoy from their O.S and its actually becoming something else.
You might think because it's because I'm a huge fan of Android phones that's why I'm saying their phone is overrated, well don't judge me yet until you hear what Daniel fromTechKnowNG has to say. :
The iPhone X features an edge-to-edge OLED display and comes with a $999 price tag. I don't know how the price tag will affect other Apple iPhone products but just as usual the iPhone is probably going to get a lot of sales based on surveys. The IPhone X has received a number of criticisms from smartphone users and the fact that it malfunctioned on the launch date sparked a number of hilarious criticisms on social media and we shouldn't ignore that.
The question now is
"Is The IPhone X An Overrated Smartphone "
Let's take a look at some of the features
1. The edge-to-edge OLED screen
The feature that makes the IPhone X stand out is it's edge-to-edge OLED screen display. Apple was quite excited about the edge-to-edge OLED display during it's launch, but this feature has obviously been on Android phones for quite a while. It's been available on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Xiaomi Mi Mix and a couple of other Android devices so there's no reasonable way I'm spending a thousand dollars on a feature I can get for less on other devices.
2. Facial Recognition Software
This is like the most annoying part of the IPhone X, the facial recognition system. I'm okay with the fact Apple tried to come up with something new but the question now is will the IPhone X facial recognition system be able to recognize ladies when they're on makeups, fixed eyelashes or users in general when they have an injury anywhere on their face. Probably not, so you will be left with a device that only recognize you when you have a straight face, I'd advice you not to buy something like that.
3. The iPhone X is expensive. very expensive
One of the noticeable aspects of the iPhone X perhaps more noticeable than its display is its price tag. Apple has set the starting cost for its flagship product at $1,000 If you include taxes and the 256GB storage configuration. The device is even more expensive outside the US — customers in Italy, Russia, and Poland, for instance, will all have to pay around $1,600 for a 256GB version of the iPhone X
Generally, I feel the IPhone X is an overrated phone, it shouldn't be this expensive because all the features that Apple has claimed is new are not new, they all have been on Android phones, I mean affordable ones. But the IPhone X comes with an Apple logo at the back of it so I expect the logo alone to be worth more than $400.
That's what Daniel thinks but what do you think about the iPhone X.Overrated, Overpriced, Over Hyped.. I'd love to know your thoughts on this. Drop your opinion in the comments. Guy na either of these 3 things dey do u: 1. You no get money, 2. U get the money but ur liver no fit imagine say u go drop that the money for iphone.. 3. U don't like apple devices the same way I hate android phones. All these ur analysis na rubbish to the one that has the money and liver to buy the phone. |

My advise to u is that any blogger by what ever name that ask u any question about ur past, just ignore and if the person no gree leave u break him mic, phone, camera or neck if available...mcheeew |
