ASUU too are heartless! Can't they for the sake of their students lessen things for now?,even if they would fight for whatever should it be this year that has already wasted?...Can't they shield their sword now that students have lost a year already?.. What exactly are they fighting for?
My dear ASUU is not heartless! The FG is criminal and need to be held accountable. Lecturers allowances had been withheld for over three years. Their salaries have been withheld for months. Meanwhile our elected politicians smile home with millions and billions that they don't deserve. They know what to do but instead prefer to keep dribbling the country with their truck load of lies. May God help us in this doomed country.

No work, No pay. Is there any country in the world that you go on strike, & you still get paid? That is holding the Government to ransom, having your cake, & eating it too, there must be consequences for every action.
It is obvious that a lot of young people are not properly informed. ASUU went to strike shortly after FG stopped their salaries for no just cause. Go and read about the evil IPPIS. Try and get the information first then you decide who is at fault.

My friend try to get informed. You have a Yahoo goverment that prefers to kill and feed their youth and citizens with lies. The least you can do is to seek the truth for yourself before making comments. If not for ASUU FG would have turned public universities into the unthinkable. As a youth you should call out your insincere govt. Do not afford them any form of support.

EazyMoh:
You will definitely loose her respect and the respect of everyone around you. If she had agreed to marry you as a Muslim but later convince you to change then no problem. But forcing you to change sends an ugly message that you don't exert any authority in the relationship especially as the man. It means you forfeit the right to have any strong opinion that may oppose her own in the future, and she will feel entitled to make you change yours and accept hers. If you are ready to let go of your religion now, then don't come complaining when she asks you to change your job or settlement or country or diet or anything else that may be fundamental to your life.
If you want to convert convert because you are convinced Christianity is the best religion for you.
Just like I won't advise any of you to change to the other's religion as a condition for marriage.
If you love each other and have been dating each other up to this time where you are convinced you are meant for each other, I don't see why then you have to change your religion at this time of the relationship.
That is not completely true. In Christianity, the man still remains the head of the family. i think he should forget about the marriage if he still wants to stick to his religion. If his religion is more important to him then he should go for a Muslim woman.

OP, your so on point, So ladies think a man marries them because of sex, but that's a big lie. Most men don't get married because of sex, its over rated, so any woman who gets married and wants to kill herself because her husband cheated on her, Can do so, its her life.

For most men, the reason they get married is for companionship. So if he finds u gud enough to be his companion, then bother not abt his cheating habit, but guide him better and talk with him if u suspect that he's cheating. Show how much of a gud companion ur to him. That's why he married U
I hope u will also be comfortable when u find out that your wife is cheating on you. i know u may not kill yourself, but please don't kill her or divorce her.

Richydos: Deari u still dnt get moi point!!! Dis has been their claim 4 d uncounted strikes n wat m asking is dis....if govt met em demands nw will it forestall future occurence of strikehuh Dat will be no.....lest i 4get since da inception of their strikex way back yrx ago...don't they ASUU get money for infrastructural devhuh Wher's is d improvement in our various unis....xo wat av they ASUU been achievin frm all dat strikex way back cox ther will definately be anoda strike in d nearest future
The university system does not work that way. ASUU has never had any business with the money meant for infrastructural development into the universities. Their issue with govt. is that it has not been providing these things in the universities. ASUU's job is to teach while govt. should provide facilities for making the teaching experience beneficial to the students. If govt. claims that they have been providing money for infrastructures, then whosoever they disbursed the money to , probably a corrupt government contractor hasn't been doing a great job. That is why ASUU is asking that universities be autonomous so that they (ASUU) will also be part of the monitoring team to ensure that the money is used solely for infrastructural development.

Richydos: Sorry deari i heard u talk abt brilliant group.....cne u plz tell moi is dis so called brilliant group hasn't been fytin dis xme cause since da inception of their formationhuh Is their any dev in our dilapidatin infrastrustures ?? Or is ASUU trying 2 say predecessor govt dnt give em money 4 infrastructuaral dev.....deari d truth is dat even da ASUU is corrupt,,,,i stand 2 be corrected if m wrong
ASUU are not going to collect the 200 billion from govt as they are not directly involved in its disbursement. The money is to be disbursed to be the governing council of all public universities in Nigeria. They include the vice chancellors, pro chancellors and council members who are ironically mostly persons appointed by the government. The issue is that govt. did not keep to the 2009 agreement where these issues that concerns giving universities infrastructural uplift where included as such ASUU had to resort to strike to get govt. to honour their agreements. It will be a good thing if our public universities can compare favourably with other universities outside Nigeria. I can tell u that if you should do a programme in any University Outside Nigeria, then u will be more sympathetic with ASUU's demands.
EducationRe: ASUU Versus FG Face Off: The Verdict Of Channelstv!!! by juju2008(f): 11:28am On Dec 05, 2013
Federal Government is so insincere. Do they think that they can take ASUU for a ride. Those are among the most brilliant group of people that we have in Nigeria. What is so difficult in showing ASUU the purported documents they used in paying the 200 billion into a CBN account, Instead of going to the media to spur lies? I mean GEJ and the tout called Wike are terrible creatures.
PoliticsRe: ASUU, How SE/SS Universities Betrayed ASUU. by juju2008(f): 5:56am On Dec 04, 2013
olabukola: It's no longer new, now we have seen where betrayers come from. From subsidy struggle to ASUU struggle. During the subsidy debacle not one of the above mention region joined the other regions to protest, now they have shown who they are by towing the line GEJ.

Is this not enough now to term them BETRAYERS.
My dear, I am from the Southeast but I agree with you and this is so unfortunate. It is unfortunate that it is only in universities in the southeast that lecturers are signing registers. What they do not realize is that 'igwe by ike'. How do they imagine that the federal govt. can sack all the lecturers in a university. The recent change in government stand by extending the deadline should be a lesson to them that it is impossible for a govt. to sack all its academics. However there are also many lecturers in the South eastern Universities who have vowed not to renegade. So don't blanket everyone. And mind you many of those lecturers who signed are not also teaching.
EducationRe: UNN Break ASUU’s Heart, Lectures Holding Today Across Departments by juju2008(f): 8:37pm On Dec 02, 2013
Why is it that South Easterners are saboteurs? They will always be the ones to renegade. This is unfortunate. Such will never happen in the northern or western part of Nigeria because they are always together in fighting their cause. That is why it will be difficult for us to have a president who is Igbo.

CultureRe: The "Rumus" Of Rivers State- Denying Your Igbo Identity. by juju2008(f): 10:36pm On Nov 30, 2013
jmoore: It doesn't take a genius to know something went wrong when you arrive Rivers state. A notice of names of places such as Rumueme, Rumuola, Rumuokwuta, Rumuokoro etc keeps you wondering why the prefix "R" was added to the words. Remove the 'R' and you will get the normal Igbo names like Umueme, Umuola, Umuokwuta, Umuokoro etc.
What went wrong? Why the change of name? What must have triggered the "adulteration" of one's identity? Ikwerre is Igbo and the denial of their Igboness led to these changes after the civil war.
But why stop there? There are more things they should do to deny their Igbo identity. They should change their names too. Okoro should be known as Rokoro, Amaechi should be known as Ramaechi, Ikechukwu should be known as Rikechukwu, Odili should be known as Rodili, Opara should be known as Ropara.
Don't mind those people. My mum's home town in Ngor-Okpala Imo has boundaries with etche and ikwerre in Rivers. The inhabitants of the towns speak similar dialect as my mum's and yet they deny being Igbo.
