PoliticsRe: Sack Threat Will Fail – ASUU by juju2008(f): 9:36am On Nov 29, 2013
take dat: Why? Is it because ASUU is the only guilty party here? Is the FG a victim? Has ASUU not agreed to call off the strike if the Government is able to implement the resolutions of their NEC meeting? Isn't there a planned meeting between the leadership of ASUU and the President? ASUU gave the FG three conditions;

• commitment from the President that any
review or reconsideration or renegotiation of
the 2009 Agreement will not substantially
affect the Agreement which is the cause of
the ongoing strike;

• immediate payment of all outstanding salary
arrears and allowances of varsity teachers
without victimisation; and

•a written commitment from the President
that the Federal Government will commit
N225billion annually to the funding of
universities for the next four years.

They have already agreed that the 2009 agreement can be reviewed to some extent. They also agreed to the N1.2trillion offered by FG. The only disagreement is the immediate payment of salary arrears. I believe the FG ought to have waited to see the outcome of ASUU's meeting with the President which should hold either this week or the next before this empty threat. If half of the lecturers decides to call the bluff of the FG and they are sacked, it will take us years to replace them with new and competent ones. Note that the universities are currently short of staff so it will be foolhardy to sack more lecturers. Continuous dialogue is the only way forward, this divide and conquer approach will not solve the myriads of problems in our university system. The students are the victim here and not FG. The two sides are at fault.
You are right except that I believe that FG is solely to be blamed. They are not sincere.

Using Nigeria as q point of departure, I would say that Africa is a rich country with poor citizens because we have always elected corrupt, incompetent and self centred persons as our leaders.

RomanceRe: Guys, Are Stretch Marks A Turn-off? by juju2008(f): 5:37am On Nov 29, 2013
I repeat some Guys/boys are terribly immature. They view life as though women are objects meant to be static and unchanging. They never face reality that life is ephemeral. So what would you do when your wife starts ageing? Honey you have to reverse your aging process or else I will abscond. Shows how silly some people can really be. Are stretch marks not part of the aging process.

leavestory: are u insane?so because a guy said that if a lady he gets married to has stretch marks that he and his wife would find the solution to clear the stretch marks or is it that the guy said that many ladies when they start giving birth do have stretch marks at the stomach region is what has made him an immature man or boy?woman!!!u are insane.
I expect that soon u would get married and if your wife gets stretch marks after child birth, which is inevitable, then be ready to run for your dear immature life. You should ask your dear mum if she got stretch marks on her tummy after giving birth to you silly boy.

leavestory: Definitely YES!!!!but I discovered that many ladies when they start making babies tend to have stretch marks especially on the stomach region!!even young chicks also have stretch mark too, though I do not know the reason for it but am sure there should be a solution,so the woman am going to marry must find a solution to it if she has stretch mark
There seems to be quite a lot of immature men/boys here.
CultureRe: Why Do Igbo People Detest Marrying Other Tribes? by juju2008(f): 3:15pm On Nov 28, 2013
The fact is that cultures differ and as such people like to marry their own. I am Igbo and I married an Igbo man. All my relations that I can think of married from various parts of Igbo land. Even the ones living outside the country all came back to marry from an Igbo family. However that is not to say that there are no exceptions. Our family friend's son married a Yoruba moslem, though as a condition she had to convert to the Catholic faith.

Richiy: Imagine that your boyfriend/fiance/husband that you trusted so much went behind ur bk and cheated. You found out and 'went on strike'. After he 'repented', and brought his folks for negotiations, would you just jump into his arms? Wont you make very sure, ie if you want him bk, that what hapnd b4 would'nt happen again? You would check every line and angle b4 making you decision ryt? That is the exact thing ASUU is trying to do. Once bitten, twice shy.
Thank you my sister.

Arobam: Mr Man, How come you know more than 60 percent of the striking lecturers who voted nationwide for the strike to end?
Your s.tupidity on this platform is grossly underestimated. If you can spare some time to use those brains in your skull, you would come to realise that you have been spewing rubbish.

At no time has FG refused to stick with its latest agreement with ASUU. the bone of contention is that Fagge has refused to heed to the call of majority of his fellow lecturers to call off a strike but is still insisting on a 2009 agreement that ihe knows FG cannot implement.
My friend keep your mouth shut. If u don't have any meaningful trying to say then shut your laptop. Stop spreading lies.

Mandelaguy: Here comes the resident retard on Nairaland with his i.mbecilic comments as usual.
President Jonathan is the first president to enter into direct negotiations with ASUU. He didn't do it out of weakness but a genuine desire to end the strike and get Nigerian students back to school.

It took the President 13 hours to reach a feasible agreement with ASUU (while you were asleep) and they had an understanding which includes a variation of the unimplementable 2009 agreement that ASUU reached under Yaradua.

President Jonathan told ASUU (and the facts are verifiable) that he is the president who has invested more in Education than any other.
He told them that he increased Education funding in the Budget from below 300B to 450 B. he also specialized tertiary funding through TETFUNDS.

He has undertaken the establishment of 12 new Federal universities to ensure that no state in the federation is deprived.
Since the strike started, FG has committee 100B for infrastructure and 30 B for earned allowances (no other administration has done this much)
In the same meeting, President said that despite the increased budgetary funding to Education by 450B, he will also mobilise 200 B in fulfillment of the agreement for the next 4 years.

So what is ASUU's problem? Since you were born, have you heard of any President that offered this much to ASUU just to call off a strike?
It's so unfortunate that politics has beclouded our sense of reasoning in this country.
President GEJ has tried, let FG go ahead to reopen the schools and it will be a popular move as you can see from comments on this thread
This is so UNTRUE. Your facts are completely untrue. Aside from the 30 billion, the federal government has not committed any additional 100 billion for infrastructural development as it has continuously claimed. It is unfortunate that our government is filled with insincere bunch of crooks starting from the president down to his ministers and advisers, who have no interest in repositioning our tertiary institutions. What is most pathetic is the way
ignorant and selfish people on Nairaland support and encourage these blatant lies by our corrupt leaders instead of thinking of ways of making them accountable for the dilapidated state of our public academic institutions. This epileptic scourge that seems to have held us back from progress will certainly not depart from us until we learn to keep selfishness aside and hold our government accountable.

sicily4u: In free and fair election, Ngige will beat Obiano and Nwoye hands down, is obvious the election was rigged in favor of Obiano
No you are wrong. On the contrary, Ngige tried to rig the election using all those touts and kidnappers- turned- security men that he housed at his Olde English Hotel in Awka. But when he realised that the number of security personnel around Anambra on that day could not allow him to sufficiently rig as he would have loved to, he started crying foul.

Don't mind those APC sychophants. Tribalists who would never let an Igbo run as a presidential canditate under their political party. Yet they won't mind using Ngige to cause confusion in Anambra. If they love him that much, let him be their presidential candidate in 2015. Nonsense.

My dear it is one thing to have voted Ngige as an individual but results from INEC, though inconclusive, place Ngige at a pitiable third position, not even second!!! Ngige is in denial no doubt. So do try and assimilate that Ngige has no place in Anambra politics. Mark my words, I am almost certain that in 2015 Ngige will not smell that senatorial seat again. Never !!!

am_joseph19: since when did an idea of a person considered as world view. as far as am concern, ngige is a well respected entity in Nigeria as a whole. few apga die hard fan may not like him but most anambrians and people from other state cherish him. in my state abia, we wish to have someone like him as a governor.
It is ridiculous for you to see Ngige as a respectable person in the society. An individual who could not even sponsor a bill at the house of assembly but is proud to publicly say that he used his constituency allocations to build VIP toilets. Nonsense and I repeat Nonsense. My friend I am almost certain that something is not quite right with your thinking faculty.

APGA has come to stay.
Don't mind these APC infested maggots who only sit in their toilets and rant rubbish on Nairaland and Facebook about my beloved state, Anambra.
