[quote author= post=124278828]THERE IS NO CAUSE FOR ALARM

Reports reaching Government is that the appearance of armed masked men in Sienna buses this morning in parts of Onitsha caused some panic among the people.

Truth of the matter is that those they saw were men of the Anambra State Vigilante Group (AVG).

Following the mild tension and anxiety among the people, Government directed the Department of State Security (DSS) and the 302 Artillery Regiment, Onitsha to join in strengthening the patrol.

Normalcy has since returned to the commercial city. Offices and shops have since reopened.

However, a few miscreants that tried to test the resolve of Government to protect lives and property of its people have been arrested by our security agents and they're presently providing useful information.

Reports from Local Government Chairmen in other parts of the State reveal that people are going about their normal businesses while their local AVGs and Joint Task Forces are on red alert.

Anambra State Government is therefore calling on Ndi Anambra to go about their legitimate businesses without fear.

The attached videos and photos attest to the normalcy in Onitsha and other parts of the State.

There is no cause for alarm.

Commissioner for Information

Asimiyu Abiodun Ladepo is an expert in Military and Security Affairs, and is based in the United States. He writes:

“Nobody should be trying to discourage Biafrans from leaving Nigeria. We should make sure we are fair to them by making the process bloodless:

1. Pick a date for secession.

2. Draw boundaries for the intended country. I assume it will be named Biafra.

3. Ensure all communities contiguous with or within 10 kilometers radius of the drawn borders agree to be included or excluded.

4. Compile a list of all Igbos all over Nigeria.

5. Understand that secession means every Igbo based all over Nigeria MUST return home to live in Biafra on or before the date set in No 1.

6. Understand what No 5 means is that all Igbos in the Federal and State services in Nigeria MUST forfeit their employment perpetually and return to Biafraland prior to No 7.

7. Conduct a referendum (funded by the protagonists but witnessed by Nigeria and international observers) on whether or not to secede. We must ensure all Igbos have a say in their self determination. No Igbo person should be railroaded into Biafra if they choose to not go. And they can't remain Nigerians if Biafra succeeds.

8. If secession succeeds, Biafra can go without firing one single shot.

9. Biafrans will now have the same status that all other West Africans have with Nigeria. They can only travel to/through or reside in Nigeria according to Nigeria's immigration laws. They can only do business or invest in Nigeria according to Nigerian laws.

10. If secession fails, it has failed forever. Anyone who brings it up again will be charged with treason”

#COPIED.

This is to let the Igbos across the nation know that you can't eat your cake and have it also.

PoliticsUpdate :presidential Election Tribunal Extends Hearing Judgement Day Now Unknow by julaion(op): 1:04pm On Jul 03, 2023
UPDATE :PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION TRIBUNAL EXTENDS HEARING, JUDGEMENT DAY NOW UNKNOWN !

Hello, everyone. As Nigerians anxiously await the resumption of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, the court has released a new timeline. In the old timeline, the judgment was supposed to be delivered in the first week of August.

However, in this new timeline, the date will be decided by the judges after the adoption of addresses. In other words, after all arguments, counter-arguments, and addresses by all parties, the judges will take their time to consider the matter and then communicate the date for delivering the judgment.

Now, let's look at the new timeline. As you all know, INEC will open their defense on Monday, July 3rd, 2023.

They will have a few days until Friday, July 7th, 2023, to defend the heist that they conducted in the name of the election. Yes, it was a heist. Evidence abounds from all election observers, both in Nigeria and abroad, who concluded that the election was not transparent and was marred by violence and rigging.

It is puzzling why Nigeria would spend billions of naira to adopt technology to make elections more transparent, only for INEC to refuse to use that technology for the election.

So, on Monday, they will start to defend the indefensible. They have already set the tone. If you watch the other video where the INEC commissioner, Festus Okoye, was trying to downplay the importance of iREV, so it will be interesting to see how they will base their arguments and try to counter the massive evidence that they themselves brought to court. because some of the CTCs that they delivered to labor party they brought them to court by themselves.

The next respondent after INEC will be Tinubu and Shetima, of cos they are being represented by one council. They will begin their defense on July 8th, 2023, just a day after INEC wraps up their defense. They will have until July 13th to finalize their defense.

It will be interesting to see how they will defend all the baggage. Where will they even start? Is it the $460,000 forfeited to the United States government, being funds traced to narcotics trafficking?

Or is it the certificate forgeries or lying under oath? Or is it the dual nationality? Which one?

Where are they going to start? They are not even sure of the identity of the man they are going to defend. So, their defense will be very interesting. If this hearing were being conducted live, it would have done a lot of damage to his reputation, if he had any reputation in the first place, considering the past and all the baggage. Many of the allegations against him have gone beyond mere allegations because they have been proven. The judgment against him in the United States happened, and they are not denying it. They are only saying that it is now time-bound, having passed 10 years. On the other hand, they also claimed that it was a civil forfeiture, but we all know how it started. How the FBI special agent, the DEA, and other agencies started the investigation, and his name kept popping up with all the people who were arrested and sent to jail. All of them named him, and there is evidence of how he lied to the FBI during questioning over the telephone. So, all of this exists. They are just banking on technicalities to evade accountability. They say he didn't commit the crime; it was his bank account, not him. It will be interesting to see how they will defend him, starting from July 8th. 🍿

Starting from July 14th, APC will have the opportunity to open their own defense. They will do this until July 17th, 2023. APC will have the opportunity to tell the court how they were able to win the majority of the votes despite bringing Nigeria's economy to its knees and not winning any of the KKK states.
They didn't win Kaduna, they didn't win Kano, they didn't win Katsina, they didn't win Lagos, they didn't win Abuja, all the major cities across Nigeria. They lost woefully.

Where exactly did their votes come from? How did they declare the APC the winner?

After APC's defense, there will be the closing of evidence starting from the same day, 17th July. From 28th July, it will be the time for respondents to address the court. They will have the opportunity to address and state all the reasons and objections they have been raising throughout the court proceedings. They will explain why they objected to certain evidence that was tendered. After their address on 28th July, the petitioners, including Peter Obi, the Labour Party, and Atiku, representing the PDP, will have their own time, possibly starting from 5th August. During this time, they will present the number of votes they received in court, as well as the states they won and the states where they achieved the required 25 percent. Every detail about the election will be revealed during their address.

After the petitioners' address, the respondents will have another opportunity to reply to their address on 11th August.

The next day, 12th August, will be the adoption of addresses. After this stage, the judges will adjourn to review the matter, go through all the evidence, and write their judgment. The date for the judgment will be communicated later, and it will be read in the usual manner, with the lead judgment followed by any dissenting opinions, if any.

Now, let's answer some questions. @teemah_gwandu wants to know how INEC will open their defense against non-compliance based on the preponderance of evidence. Well, they have already started when the Labor Party presented an expert witness from Amazon who submitted reports proving that there was no glitch on Election Day.

INEC responded to this by claiming that there was a glitch that caused the non-upload of presidential election results. However, we all know that this is not possible. Even if we assume there was a glitch, it would have affected all uploads. It is impossible for the House of Reps and senatorial elections to be uploading while the presidential election refuses to upload. It’s impossible!

The second part of the question

“what do you think will be the most likely outcome if INEC admits that it did not upload all the results and IREV is not their primary source since they make the operational guidelines for conduct of elections in Nigeria.”

This cannot be answered because we cannot get into the mind of a judge. It is because of the Nigerian Factor. Ordinarily, when you look at the law and the section that was breached, you should be able to determine the punishment and conclude that there is no way this person will escape it. The law must catch up with the person. However, you can never know how the judges will decide. We must keep an open mind until the Judgment Day to see how they will overlook all these matters. Of course, we must have confidence because when the trial started, they emphasized that every matter would be considered based on its merit, with no room for technicalities. So, we keep an open mind, remain unprejudiced, and continue watching until the Judgment Day.
This brings us to another question that many have been asking. They want to know the chances of Peter Obi and the Labour Party winning not just at the tribunal but also at the Supreme Court. As I have already mentioned, we cannot get into the mind of a judge. However, there are certain factors that give us hope. We might say, "Ah, there's no way this man will escape this." There's no way they will turn a blind eye to all of this or use a technicality to dismiss the matter.

For instance, the current CJN was among the justices who delivered the judgment stating that forfeiture is applicable when a crime has been committed. They stated that one cannot willingly forfeit something without committing a crime. If the government wakes up one day and seizes your property, whether it's in the bank or physical assets, you have the right to go to court and challenge the government if you know you haven't done anything wrong. In such a case, you have the opportunity to win your case.

This judgment was made in the case of Muhammad Abacha versus the federal government. So, considering this precedent, would they say something different this time? Especially considering the fact that Muhammad Abacha didn't go to prison for it, and his case wasn't even drug-related.

It is also worth mentioning that two serving Supreme Court justices were part of the panel that disqualified a PDP candidate in the House of Reps for certificate forgery. They discovered that the candidate forged a certificate, and as a result, he was disqualified. So, after delivering such a judgment, when they consider the case of Tinubu, will they conclude that it is not certificate forgery?

Nigerians are closely watching.
