My Honda CRV 08 had a flat battery after parking it for like 5days. Gave the battery to a Charger to charge and the car starts fine. However, the radio is down, central lock does not work and there is no sound when i put the key in the ignition. Dashboard light doesnt come on too until the car is in start position. The car starts fine though.

What's the possible cause for this and remedy? Thanks

Change fuse number 23 under the hood, it's a 10amp fuse. It happened to me, same car that's how I solved mine.

Wow! Thanks so much for your response. Actually, the noise goes off within 30-40 seconds. And then when I press the gas penal, it'd draw the sound out a little. It's been persisting for months now. I hope this info still speaks to the fact that the issue is coming from the cylinder as you suggest.

Now, if the mechanic isn't good, what do I stand to face as a result? Can I replace the whole cylinder stuff? If yes, at what cost?

Pour some talcum powder on the serpentine belt if d noise disappears, it means ur belt needs to b replaced. That's how I diagnosed mind.

Should be the other way round. Are you sure of your diagnosis? In over 10years I have only replaces a faulty MAP once on a Toyota carinaII. Those parts seldom fail.

MAP was replaced and the car is running fine now

Sorry it's MAP sensor attached to d engine body, he disconnected it and d misfire and rough idle stopped, when he connected it back it started again. It's MAP not MAF
