I've had similar experience lately, especially on Mtn and Airtel. If I download a file of 1gb above it will download at a very high speed but immediately I try to download another file of similar size, the speed will reduce drastically. These network providers are up to something.

So it's not only me.. I believe the network providers are doing something intentionally. I know this kind of thing happens when u subscribe for an hourly plan. They would intentionally reduce the plan.

It won't go into recovery. It will only stay stable on fastboot.

May be the best solution is to backup and unlock the bootloader.

Yes, the battery was healthy and about 80 percent when it got into the loop.

I've been trying to clear the cache or format the device in fastboot mode. But to do anything advance, I have to pretty much unlock the bootloader. But Xiaomi has tied the unlocking sequence as a feature that can only be enabled as a Developer options through settings when the device is booting normally into the OS.

I'm pretty much stuck at every corner.

U can boot into stock recovery and clear the catche from there

We dont need to know about your preference. If you like tecno, just go for it. Nobody will beat it. Its your money and your life.

How I wished everybody would have freedom to say his/her mind on nairaland . Currently I'm using three phones, and who ever ask me on anything about the phones I can answer without bias cos I'm just a user not a seller. My conclusion regarding buying a new phone is I won't accept any reviews from a marketer. Cos all they care is their own commission.

False and op is wrong too. Z30 is a solid phone with a good battery. You might be unlucky to have a defected piece doesn't mean it's the same for others.

I'm planning to have a new phone now that's why Im in nairaland to get more ideas and more enlightenments . I'm eyeing two brands now, xiaomi and realme.

I'm using wifi at my place of work now and I have been moving from my browser, badoo, Facebook and whatsapp for almost 4 hours, I swear my phone is so cool. My phone is techno l8 plus.

I swear to u that I have been browsing with my techno for good 3 hours now no single heat, I swea the phone is as cool as if it's switched off. Look! If a phone can get hot just because of browsing, I swear I won't buy it. U can kill me now.

Samsung A20 is actually a good spur mate for Xiaomi redmi note 7. I spent days and even weeks comparing the two side by side, as they beat each other in certain aspects. They both have type C port and support OTG, and even A20's display (super amoled) is quite superior to that of RN7 (RN7 would have costed more if it were to run on same technology). In terms of power consumption, the Super amoled wil consume less than IPS RN7 is using, but as always a damaged Samsung screen will definitely cost more to maintain.
A20 is cheaper to buy than RN7 (when my bro came home with his brand new A20 and said he bought it 55k, I laughed real hard that computer village guys have scammed him, that it was definitely fake... I never believed a new Sammy can be that cheap. When I confirmed it was real and original, I again concluded that it was stolen until cos of its price until I went to Samsung's thread).
I was skewing towards the direction of Samsung as I even ordered for an armoured pouch already (more like buying a spare side mirror for a car you are yet to buy ) but I felt there was something extra I needed in a phone that Sammy doesn't have (I couldn't figure it out myself)... Until I came across my sweet precious RN7... I no regret my choice even though I still love A20 (which would have been my alternative).
On Samsung thread, you have nice people there too always willing to help out, just like we have here. Its good to be good

It seems like u r not one of those who feels like an insult to talk about any defect of xiaomi phones. Pls can u tell me why people are complaing of heating issue while browsing cos I don't consider browsing as something that can make a phone heat up. I'm right now using cheap phone but it doesn't heat up at all while browsing, not even warming up.

Please my guys, I'm tired of this note 8. The network sucks. My MTN has not been working but inserted same SIM card into my sister's redmi 7A and it's working perfectly fine with strong 4G.

Like I explained earlier, I haven't succeeded in restoring my second space after disabling the lock. All this issues came up after I tried to hid the second space form the setting of first space.
