IPOB to Buhari: Supporting Western Sahara secessionists but rejecting Biafra is hypocrisy thecable.ng. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has berated President Muhammadu Buhari for “strongly backing Western Sahara’s agitation to break away from Morocco” but rejecting its quest for an independent Biafra. In a statement issued on Tuesday by Emma Powerful, IPOB spokesman, the group accused the president of hypocrisy. Buhari had said in his Monday broadcast that Nigeria’s unity is “settled and non-negotiable“. He said he had agreed with Odumegwu Ojukwu, late Igbo leader, that Nigeria will remain as one. But IPOB described Buhari’s claim as “comical and unfounded” and urged the president to “face the present reality”. The statement read: “Interestingly enough, there is a well-circulated video of President Buhari addressing the 70th summit of the United Nations General Assembly in New York where he stated unequivocally that no nation, no matter how small, should be denied the right to self-determination. “Buhari in his characteristic hypocrisy failed to mention the fact that he is a staunch campaigner for self-determination for Palestine and Western Sahara. This same Buhari is the major backer of Western Sahara campaign to break away from Morocco. “The question that must be answered is why it is possible for Buhari to champion the cause of self-determination for Muslims in Israel and Morocco but not so for Biafrans who are Judeo-Christians in the British-created Nigeria? “During his uninspiring nationwide broadcast littered with dictatorial proclamations, the only take away point in the entire turgid show of shame is that Nigeria must remain one; primarily because the dominant cabal which he represents does not want to lose their stranglehold on the finances of Nigeria. “We find it laughable that Major General Muhammadu Buhari will embark on the futile journey of deceiving the general public about his brief encounter with Ojukwu in 2003. “President Muhammadu Buhari and other government functionaries, especially politicians, should stop deceiving themselves about the true nature of the raging Biafran agitation because they cannot provide any incontrovertible proof or verifiable evidence where the agreement was made between Buhari and Chief Ojukwu to keep Nigeria one. And they should stop calling Ojukwu’s name.” |
The Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chris Ngige, has handed over the Dudgeting Department of the Ministry, to the newly appointed Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Professor Stephen Ocheni, who hails from Kogi State, North Central Nigeria. While handing over to Ocheni, Ngige charged him to utilise his credibility as a renowned professional Accountant, to improve on the 2018 budgetary system of the Ministry. Ngige said: “I am particularly pleased by the fact that you are an account professional with various degrees in accounting, and that will remove the load from me in budgeting. You will take charge of the 2018 budgeting, which we are about to start, so that our budgeting system will improve. “I made it better when I came, you can push it to become best. I am optimistic that by God’s grace you will put in your best to uplift this Ministry and the Nigeria nation at large.” He added: “it is our pleasure to welcome the new Minister of State into our fold. Ministry of Labour and Employment is one of the oldest Ministries in Nigeria, dating back to 1927, as Colonial Department. It is a challenging Ministry that has been manned by prominent Nigerians in the past, your deployment as a Minister of State for Labour and Employment, gives credence to your credibility as a renowned academic and astute bureaucrat.” |

onyerike:Why advising him to go to jamb office to sort it? It seems you have a myopic knowledge of jamb portal system. Please if you don't have a reasonable input better stay off commenting. Well everything is intact hence the printing of the slip |
harbyodhun:Why are you bothered over nothing? Can a jamb DE registration without awaiting result be submitted without uploading the necessary documents? The answer is NO! Oga please don't worry yourself because everything was uploaded accurately that's the reason your registration was successful and complete, without uploading those documents your form couldn't have submitted on jamb portal. So don't panic because everything was done perfectly well hence the printing of your slip. |
Oga blogger mind what you post to avoid misguided information to admission seekers. Fg has lift the post UTME ban so every university in Nigeria will conduct post UTME exam ok |
Temysteve:Yes, but its called post DE screening exam |
Awaaal:Yes it requires your ND matric number |
Abioyesamola:Your o. level result do not matter much for now go prepare for your post-DE screening exam and get a good score something above 60/100 and you're good to go. Uniben,UNN,Umudike, unizik etc only admit with post DE screening score not ssce. I hope this will help |
This is a good development, I teach in a private school were almost all the students go A's, and B's in all their subjects and the worse part of it is that 90% of these students knows nothing but they only pass with COPY AND PASTE after all the students were made to pay 10k each for expo!!! Thank God for these development |

Same here. Mine is 2years and 3 months |
Op let me clear you one thing, we the South South will surely go with them because we can easily alien with the Igbo's brothers than suffering in the hands of illiterate housa/Fulani's, moreover remember that Edo is not included in Biafra so don't raised alarm over nothing. If you're enjoying the British contraption call Nigeria then remain there when the time comes . lastly, why do you think the Igbo's can oppressed the SS people in Biafra? No no no, the SS has 6 states the later has 5 States. Taking of education we are leading them, then gragra na we be number ONE. Lol. We the SS will even enjoy Biafra more than the Igbo's. I'm Juli from Kwale, in Ndokwa west LGA of Delta state |
EmperorBasil:Please be mindful of what you post on group like this, post what you are sure of and what jamb ask to and not what you ignorantly did on your own without paying due attention to instructions. Please always follow instructions at all time. What to submit in jamb office were stated beneath your DE slip which are: O.level result Degree/HND, ND,OND,NCE,IJMB etc DE slip. |
Op don't worry about whatever you perceived ad bitter truth, we shall live with it , just allow us to go and get our Biafra. |
dearpiriye:SLT and mls are two different faculty SLT is a natural/physical science course but never a medical course . Universities don't admit any polytechnic product into college of medicine be it MLS or Nursing, unless on the act of necessity. Note: I didn't say NMA regulates admission in the universities, but I have I just told you and every DE aspirants what they should know to avoid doing the wrong thing. Oga how many graduates of polytechnic have you seen admitted to MLS or Nursing? Just be truthful to your self, you're just saying by speculation |
Davaz:Please and please don't change from mechanical to maths, mechanical engineering is the no 1 department in any university. Trust me, if you can put same effort in the university and make 2.1 or 1st class in mechanical engineering sky will be your beginning. Change from mechanical engineering to maths and regret later. This is my little advice |
EngrBello:Mr Bello , please don't follow conjecture OK , you had beeter believe me or rather take any advice I give in this thread , because I'm in the system and I Know what I'm saying . Good day |
AyarmBoye:You are entitle to your opinion, but try as much as you can not be insultive , however you don't who you are talking to, probably she maybe a lecturer who knows!! But the good thing is that I'm here to guide the young ones not to make mistake and then waste time and hard earned money . Please stop believing on grapevines rather make research or believe the raw truth from the horses mouth . I don't know or any other nairalander in this thread, so I wonder why I will advice you wrongly. Please go ahead land take UI, Unilag etc as second choice,I wish you best of luck |
AyarmBoye:Please don't talk what you are not sure of, how on earth can some one put unilag second choice and get admission? probably you have a shallow knowledge of the university setting. I repeat no university in Nigeria except private universities consider 2nd choice in direct entry admissions. However now many students do they admit through DE? Maybe 4-10 in each department, were about 300-1000 students chose them as first choice university in each department Please be careful with how you encourage people and what you post in a public group. Thank you |
